Let's not get political (please) - it's Yelp after all. I chose here this year for my husband's annual birthday brunch! He loves a decadent brunch. Who doesn't? And after a number of years patroning the Four Season's Beverly Hills brunch on Doheny I wanted to try something new. There's not many decadent, birthday worthy brunch options in our post Covid world. So when I found this one, read the menu and saw the price point I was ALL in. And my goodness it blew last year at the four seasons away by a lot!!! (They dipped significantly after Covid - not the same value). The Trump had EVERYTHING you could want in a brunch. Sushi, free flowing champagne, prime rib, crepes, crab, waffles, eggs Benedict, pancakes, chocolate dipped fruit, breads, bagels, cheeses, salad, Korean short ribs, shrimp, shrimp scampi, pasta, omelettes, oysters, fruit & figs, and sausage & bacob. I know for a fact I am missing offerings. It was world class, A+ with live music and wonderful service. The views of the pacific were gorgeous on our blustery day. My goodness it was so pretty. We were not rushed at all. It wasn't cramped or crowded. I loved it! And I'd definitely make this a recurring birthday treat for him. It was absolutely worth it. read more

The food was great! No complaints there. The service however, was absurd! Actually, non-existent. The table next to us literally had to go to the bar and retrieve their own drinks. No one checked on us, it took way too long to get served and when we finally did, it was with an attitude. Our appetizer order was also forgotten. The restaurant had only 2 tables of guests, including us. Shocking for a Saturday night. So the excuse of being busy isn't going to fly here. We will not be back. Although I enjoyed the food, being ignored and treated like crap doesn't make it worth it. If you want decent food, excellent service by the sea, I'd recommend going to Redondo Beach or Hermosa Beach. ANYWHERE but here! read more

The reviews looked fantastic and I wanted a spectacular experience to celebrate my daughter's graduation from UCLA ( belated). We pulled up to this beautiful golf course/ clubhouse and discovered my mistake. I really did not want my husband to pay $150 pp, but he shrugged it off, and I guess where else could we go?.... That said, our server was very personable and attentive ( Alejandro). The ambiance was elegant yet relaxed, with a female jazz singer and a male accompanying her, although they didn't perform the entire time. ( we had 12:30 reservations, brunch ended at 2, so they must have performed all morning). They had a great sound, would have loved to hear them more. We had champagne to start off the celebration, and they offered wine and mimosas as well. The food was outstanding: several stations, each equally with my OMG reaction: this is my favorite!! *prime rib OMG lol tender, tasty, perfect *lobster cioppino, complete with lots of fresh seafood *Korean style short ribs-- this was heavenly: tender, flavorful, I think my favorite here *Greek salad was also excellent- very fresh, light, so yummy * scalloped potatoes- just the right amount of cheese * smoked salmon and caviar-so good. There was also roe, but I was filling up! * sushi- didn't have, but my daughter and her boyfriend were very happy with their selection *shrimp scampi, oysters on the half shell... *crab legs, cheeses, fruit, crackers..... *omelet bar ( too full!) *pasta bar ( too full!) *crepe and waffle station ( sadly too full) * assorted desserts, including a chocolate fountain and fresh strawberry "pops" for it (my husband enjoyed one; I don't believe in mixing perfectly good fruit with chocolate!) *the white chocolate truffle tasted as good as it looked *Alejandro brought out a beautiful dessert for my daughter ( see photos). There were also negatives: $16 for cappuccino?! They looked beautiful, apparently tasted great but you are charging for it? *although the food quality, presentation and taste were phenomenal, none of us ate close to $150 each....maybe $100-125 is more realistic Went into the pro shop adjacent to the restaurant and picked up a beautiful quarter zip pullover with the TNGC logo, and hubby got a patriotic Trump hat. The views from the restaurant were breathtaking, from Catalina to the PV hills. Never went there the 26 years I lived in Redondo, but will try to return for a non buffet day. read more

Husband surprised me with Afternoon Tea at the Trump National Golf Course. Been here before for lunch and dinner, first time here for tea. Beautiful atmosphere and views and excellent service! This is such a beautiful restaurant. That was the first thing I noticed right away. The staff is absolutely wonderful and so helpful. The food is absolutely to die for. Delicious and beautiful presentation! The orange juice was fresh squeezed and the best I've ever had. We went to celebrate Father's Day for my husband and we had the best time. Visited last night for a birthday dinner. Great service, food, and politics. The atmosphere is astounding with a beautiful dining room. Everyone in the dining group enjoyed their meals which were either steak or seafood. I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass which was exceptionally tasty and enjoyed while taking in the panoramic view of the golf course and ocean. Very nice place! read more

Brought my parents to cafe pacific for a special dinner for my mom's birthday! We were pleased with the service and the ambiance, it is a very special and relaxed setting. We were happy with our calamari appetizer, and the entree's of pork chops and scallops. We were impressed with how the mains were paired, our scallops had an array of root vegetables that we have never had before like sunchoke. I'll be honest, I'm not a fan of the person whose name is on the building, but I absolutely loved the food, ambiance, and service here. I came for the Sunday jazz brunch, and it was fantastic. The buffet was outstanding, with diverse, high-quality food options--especially the short ribs, which were sublime. The champagne was delicious, and everyone in our group agreed it was one of our best dining experiences this year. The live jazz added a wonderful touch, perfectly complementing the elevated dining atmosphere. The service was excellent as well. We'll definitely be back! read more

It is not surprising how beautiful this restaurant is, and how utterly delicious the cuisine. The interior is plush and the view is stunning as it overlooks the Pacific Ocean and the lush golf course. The staff is professional and attentive. The cook greeted us as we dined on his five star creations. The only complaint I have is with the attire. We dress up when we dine at Cafe Pacific...the interior commands this. It is rather distasteful to be in the company of patrons wearing shorts and flip flops. This isn't a deal breaker for us, just worth noting. read more

I don't golf. I never go around Palos Verdes. I lived in Los Angleles for over 30 years. But out of curiosity, I went for a lunch on a Saturday because I like Hillstone and I was hoping..... Beforehand, I saw that the menu for the lounge is the same for Pacific Cafe, so I figure, okay get white tablecloth. The Lounge was filled w/ golfers. Good sign. The Pacific Room was EMPTY except for two tables that look like from a nursing home. One waitress serving both sides. Took forever to get a drink menu which they didn't think to bring at the beginning. Waited over 30 minutes to order. The food is mediocre. The prime rib sandwich looks and tasted like it came out of a microwave. Boar's Head roast beef tastes better than that. The food is not worth it. The service is lousy. This place is CREEEEPY. If you don't golf, don't go. read more

Brunch at Trump was a very expensive undertaking: $150 per person plus tax and tip. It's worth $30 plus the value of the champagne you might drink. The food is not bad. It's just not worth $150. The service was friendly but somewhat inattentive We had to wave our hands to get more champagne. No one explained how the buffet worked until we asked. The so-so service can't be explained by the number of customers in the place. There were no more than six occupied tables on the Sunday we visited. Parking was easy. Plenty of open spaces. The parking valets were nowhere to be found so the promise of complimentary valet parking wasn't kept. It's a pretty room and the people working are nice. Ambiance, food, and service were all superb! The gorgeous views of the Pacific perfectly complemented the buttery, fork-tender Chilean Sea Bass that we ordered. All in all, the grand and (admittedly flashy, i mean it's Trump) aesthetic really gave our dinner a sense of occasion and uniqueness. I was expecting more of a stuffy country club sort of environment, and was pleasantly surprised by how personable and gracious the waitstaff were. First time at the fine dining part of Trumps and dinner was fantastic! My son and I split the tomahawk steak and it was perfect. The chef presented it to us on a wood board with the butter, salt, etc. My girlfriend got the pasta with bolognese sauce and it was the best I have ever had. It is not my first time to Trump National Golf Course's restaurant Cafe Pacific. Politics aside, you've to come here for the Sunday brunch. They've omelet station, crepe station, a wide selection of sashimi and sushi, along with other fresh catches. The hot food station will leave you wanting more of everything. If you're lucky, the sun is shinning and you'd be able to see all the way to Catalina. Perfect for any occasion or just stop by. An Elegant Grown Up & Family Friendly Easter Brunch The Excellence begins when you drive onto the property, with the very welcoming, and efficient, complimentary valet staff, A red carpet awaits. The Easter Bunny was out front to greet and take pictures with the arriving guests. There was an Easter Egg Hunt on a grassy area, overlooking a breathtaking ocean view. The hostess staff was friendly and seated our party of four in a perfect and romantic (private feeling) location near a fireplace. Each table welcomed the guests with a grand place card.inscribed with the reservation surname. The waitstaff was very attentive! Champagne, Mimosas, Bloody Marys, and coffee were free flowing. The decor was exquisite and the buffet was so extensive that it was presented in the ballroom. (The buffet contained more fresh and delicious breakfast and lunch selections than can be described in this paragraph.) There were numerous families with children present, but even the youngest were so well behaved and did not detract from the elegance of the occasion.
