The food is fabulous and the service is top notch. The atmosphere is so inviting and you automatically feel like you belong there. You can be casual or dress up.

So boom, picture this! My friend and I were wanting to grab a bite to eat after work, and seeking to try a new restaurant. She sent a couple of places , and excited to try them all. However we decided on this place. I already knew the food was going to be good because I frequent this area often! I tried the tuna melt , spicy tuna rice crisper tings, and had two drinks. My friend had the coconut shrimp and shrimp tacos. Our server was extremely attentive and knew her away around the menu for recommendations. If you're in the area and want a bite to eat, please stop by. They won't disappoint you.! P.S. there is meter parking .

Fun pre-Thanksgiving fall day lunch at Riviera House today! My significant other and I were meeting a friend coming from the OC, and looking for a place about halfway, and Riviera House was perfect for us. The space has an "indoor/outdoor" vibe, which we loved. We had reservations and were hoping for outdoor seating. I called when reservations were made and spoke to Sam, who said there should be no issues with the request. Great first impression of the restaurant and staff! We arrived before our friend and were greeted by Neal. He seated us right away, and took care of us through the afternoon and could not have been more accommodating, kind, and fun! Two of us got tuna melts with different sides, and one got the strawberry feta salad with salmon. We all enjoyed our food, along with drinks. The vibe was really fun, and I personally loved the music!! Would love to return when we are back in the area!

Service is good and the food and drink are great! Definitely make reservations as the ambience is 10/10 and fills up quickly. Drinks could use some improvement - they make really good tiki and brunch drinks but can't seem to hammer home the classics. Food is very good - nothing that stands out spectacularly for me - but can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Price is steep and I would say "well that's because of it's location", but other places around are doing it for cheaper sooooo *shrug*. Been here on many occasions: dates, girly brunches, family dinners, celebratory parties and it has been solid every time.

Super good food, lots of seating but limited parking! Got the breakfast burrito and it was massive! Really liked the potatoes it came with. My group also got the poke nachos to share which was also good but the poke to chip ratio was a little off. Still a nice place to get brunch though :)

Riviera House is one of those spots you keep a secret... but I have to give them their flowers. We were immediately welcomed by the ambiance and open space (you have the choice to sit fully inside, partially inside with space heaters above to stay consistent temp - great touch, or fully outside on the couches or chairs they have in the sun). We sat in the partial inside section which I would highly recommend. We did make a reservation as well because we had a group of 5. THE FOOD: 10/10... EVERYTHING. We had a good variation of things including steak and eggs, breakfast burrito, berry waffles, strawberry salad, Brussels sprouts, and "make your own chilaquiles"?!?!!! I personally had the steak and eggs which had a bunch of flavor from all the ingredients they added, and a nice touch with the fresh sourdough. Not your typical bland steak and 2 eggs on the side... I also made a point to try every one else's food at my table because it looked so good. I don't give 10/10 ratings lightly, and neither does my family. Especially from my family that can be a bit critical about food. Respectfully. Server Joe was super friendly, checked on us at the perfect times, & accommodated a few requests from the kids we had with us. I'll definitely be back. Thank you to everyone who made this meal feel special.

Spicy tuna crispy rice was just ok. Needs more sesame oil or something. The eggplant dip was ok I was not a fan my sister liked it though . Will come back to try more stuff though a lot of other things look good. Got it all on happy hour prices . Also their website menus and happy hour menus are not up to date

I must like it here as I've been about 30 times Everyone has an off night. I was seated in an area with a waitress I hadn't seen before. Oh my, it was the start of a bad night They forgot the salad. But the table next to us has a special request for the salad which they completely messed up also. Then I Thought I'd try their seafood tower. At $59 I was disappointed. 6 small oyster , 6 shrimp and ceviche. You'll want to pass on this one And the bar staff must have been busy as I didn't get my drink until after the entree was finished. Oh well. It happens. I will make sure to get seated with wait staff I know. My recommendation: go for the happy hour selections. Super good food, quality and value Still a good vibe.

We were looking for a place not far from the Coast Botanical Gardens and that took reservations as we were a party of 7. Riviera House hit the mark. Service was great with a primary wait person attending to us but a whole team of people helping serve and cleanup. The setting was nice with open air and a street side patio. Parking on the street was scarce but there is a big pay to park lot just a block away. Food was good! We shared the eggplant dip appetizer and it was served with delicious bread. I enjoyed the California Benedict with a nice mound of shrimp. I felt the hollandaise sauce was a little skimpy but they brought me extra. The rosemary potatoes on the side are delicious! The rest of the table had a variety of items including the breakfast burrito, chicken & waffles, triple berry French toast, avocado toast, clam chowder, tuna stacks and the basic eggs with bacon. Everyone enjoyed their meal. We had several drinks; I had the white sangria, which was served with crushed ice (think sonic ice) tasted great but it was a lot of ice and not much Sangria -- my only disappointment. The cost, including tax and tip was about $35-40 per person. We would return if in the area.

This is probably one of the best midday happy hour spots in Riviera village of Redondo beach. You can sit outside or inside here, it's never too busy and it's just giving you nice beach town vibes that are clean. There are a ton of different happy hour food specials, and drink specials and taco Tuesday specials and different daily specials. Today we got asada fries and we clean the plate. These things were spectacular. Highly recommend.

A returning customer driving from SFV, of MANY years (pre Covid era and during), and the food is always on point. Friendly servers, good vibes (brunch, lunch, dinner) even on windy days! They have outdoor patio which is enjoyable, it feels like you're on the beach even though you're a couple blocks away. Drinks are good, I always have tequila or mezcal based, and I can't say I've had one I didn't like. If I were a local, this would be my go-to! Highly suggest.

My husband and I have come to the Riviera House a few times and ordered the clam chowder and string beans tempura appetizer. Both excellent. Recently we ordered the Brussels sprouts appetizer. We thought the preparation flavor was somewhat overpowering. Sometimes less is better. The restaurant has both inside and outside patio seating. We like to sit in one of the booths and enjoy a pleasant leisurely lunch. Service is attentive without hovering.

Our favorite is their Pineapple Burger on Tiki Thursday as best burger in the village & great service too :)

These prawns were huge! So flavorful and fresh! The homemade cocktail sauce with horseradish was excellent!

Let's talk about the food (aka: The Reason They've Been Voted Best Steakhouse 13 Years Straight) Let's talk about the the star of the show, Diamond Jim Cut -- 19oz of prime rib glory. Medium, juicy, tender, and so perfectly seasoned it felt like the chef whispered affirmations to it before plating. This thing didn't just sit on the plate, it posed and winked at me. It had main‑character energy. Honestly, the steak looked at me like, "You sure you're ready for this?" Respectfully, I was not... but I still finished it like a champion. Everything else? Straight hits: * Prime Rib Special, classic, comforting, and exactly what a 1960s steakhouse should taste like. * Grilled Jumbo Shrimp, big enough to file taxes. So delicious! * Sautéed Mushrooms, wow...wow...wow, buttery, earthy, and the perfect sidekick to the prime rib. * New England Clam Chowder, so creamy, hearty, and not shy with the clams. Love it! * Shrimp Cocktail, very classy and retro, refreshing, and served like it's still 1969 (in a good way). Super delicious! The service here is chef's‑kiss classic. Truly excellent and the staff, very warm, attentive, and smooth, the kind where the staff checks in just enough to make you feel taken care of but never interrupts your prime‑rib spiritual experience. Plates come out hot, drinks land quickly, and everyone moves with that confident rhythm of a team that's been doing this for decades. Super big thanks for all that you do! This place has that retro steakhouse charm that feels like stepping into a vintage movie set. Dark wood, red leather, dim lights, and a vibe that says, "Order a martini and talk about business you don't actually have." It's cozy, nostalgic, and honestly refreshing in a world full of neon‑lit modern restaurants. At one point, the Diamond Jim Cut was so massive I considered calling for backup. I swear the prime rib looked at me like, "Buddy... this is a commitment." The jumbo shrimp were so big I almost asked them what gym they go to. And the clam chowder? Thick enough to patch drywall. San Franciscan is a South Bay legend for a reason, amazing 13 years of "Best Steakhouse" isn't luck. It's the food, the service, the old‑school charm, and the fact that they deliver exactly what a classic steakhouse should: big flavors, big portions, and a big nostalgic vibe that hits every time. The positives of this dish are that it was prepared well. Both the fish and chips tasted good. The presentation was also nice; which leads to the coleslaw: The coleslaw tasted good, too; but I was surprised the serving was so spare. It's almost as if it was served just to optically balance the presentation in the basket. She pointed out that for the amount of ingredients the soup had, it tasted really bland. As far as the service, it was disappointing too. I completely missed their attached parking lot when I arrived and ended up parking across the street in the neighborhood, where there was ample free parking. When we arrived, the restaurant was about half full and there was live music occurring on the patio. We opted to sit inside where it was a little less noisy and there was a comfy and cozy booth calling our name. The vibe was great, with fun and eclectic decor. The service was really upbeat and friendly and our server was so kind and helpful. We asked him if the espresso martini had dairy in it (which I just discovered that is a thing at some places) and he double checked with the bartender to ensure there wasn't my dairy in it! I ordered that alongside a falafel wrap I must say, both of these worked so well together. The espresso martini was light and refreshing yet still had a bold flavor. The falafel was nice and crispy with a delectable inside and the tahini sauce was so rich and creamy. The meal felt indulgent yet hearty all at the same time. I left feeling so uplifted and relaxed all at the same time. Despite it being on the noisier side, I was still able to hear my friend well and it was such a great place for us to catch up. I would highly recommend this restaurant and would definitely return the next time I'm in the area!

I ordered the pastrami on rye (basically a Reuben) which was good. I wish it had more meat and it was half sliced, half chopped. Theirs seems to be all chopped up and crisped, which gives it a nice texture and almost bacon-y vibe. Messy but good. I had a side salad which was also good. Overall our meal was great and there were TVs visible from anywhere you sat, which is perfect for a sports bar. My big gripe is being charged $1 for pickles to go with a sandwich. Maybe you get more if they put them directly on the sandwich, but they forgot mine so the pickles came in a ramekin. 6 pickle slices for $1.

I drive by this place at least once a week and somehow never noticed it. I ordered the chili on my coworker's recommendation, and she was absolutely right--it was incredible. The flavors were rich and delicious, the portion was generous, and it came with cornbread that was the perfect complement. I left completely stuffed and very happy! I'm not much of a beer drinker, so I tried one of their guava seltzers (I wish I could remember the name!), and it was refreshing and delicious. The service really stood out as well. Our waitress was exceptional--friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. She made great recommendations and handled our group effortlessly as coworkers arrived throughout lunch, greeting everyone with a smile and making sure we were all taken care of. Overall, this was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Great food, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere. I'll definitely be back to work my way through more of the menu. Highly recommend!

Visiting as an out-of-towner, I wanted to love HopSaint, but given the price point, the overall…read moreexperience fell short of expectations. It's not terrible by any means, but it's hard to justify returning. The menu features some nice Southern-influenced dishes you don't typically see at every brewery. Highlights and thoughts on what we ordered: Green Beans Appetizer: Easily the star of the table--perfectly seasoned with a great crisp crunch. Other Starters & Mains: We also tried the Brussels sprouts, chipotle wings, duck gumbo, and the daily flatbread special (tomato and burrata). Everything was decent, but for the price, nothing blew us away. Famous Brisket Dinner: A bit of a letdown. It came strictly with coleslaw and no additional sides. The flavor was fine--middle of the road overall. Between two 4-beer flights, we sampled most of their standard and hoppy lineup. They clearly excel at West Coast IPAs. However, the pricing structure on tasters feels steep--$6 for a 5oz pour of their Double IPA is tough to swallow, especially when calculated to cost more per ounce than iconic Pliny the Younger, which most places charge a dollar per ounce (when distributed). To cap off the 3-star rating, the 4-pack of IPA I purchased to-go was canned two months prior. Any craft beer enthusiast knows hoppy profiles fall off noticeably over time, and a brewery should really be prioritizing fresh inventory for retail sales. Total damage came out to around $200 for two adults and a child. For that price point, the value just wasn't there, leaving us feeling like something was missing from the experience.

You order inside and pick up your food at the window outside, and the whale mural surrounding the pickup window is such a fun, memorable touch. There are a couple of benches outside if you want to eat there, although I noticed most people seemed to grab their food to go. The food was absolutely incredible. I ordered the Cash Burger, and it was packed with flavor. The burger was perfectly seasoned, cooked just right, and honestly one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. Even a simple burger here tastes like it was made with care. The truffle Parmesan fries were another standout--crispy, flavorful, and completely addictive. We also tried two dipping sauces: the habanero cream and the chipotle. Both were delicious and added a unique twist to the burger and fries, but the habanero cream was definitely my favorite. It's not often you find sauces that elevate an already great meal this much. My only suggestion would be to improve the outdoor seating area. The benches could use a little more attention, and having a better trash setup would make eating outside much more enjoyable. One thing that really sold me was my one-year-old. She absolutely devoured the burger! I usually have to work to get her to eat anything besides quesadillas, and even In-N-Out can be hit or miss with her, so that says a lot. Overall, I'm so glad we stopped here. Between the amazing food, fun atmosphere, and beach-town vibe, I'd happily go out of my way to come back. If you're anywhere nearby, don't miss this spot!
