This was my first time dining at this location. I usually dine at their Redondo Beach Riviera restaurant. A few positives and negatives. We started with the chips and avocado dip to share. Before ordering I inquired about the freshness of the dip and was assured it was freshly made. The order came out within 2 minutes and, let me assure you, it was far from fresh. The chips were stale and the dip was tasteless and anything but fresh. Maybe it was prepared earlier in the day (we dined at 7 pm) but it was a gross appetizer. I informed the waitress but didn't ask to have it removed from the bill. For the main dish I had the Friday night beef street tacos. Another mistake. The soft shells had been overcooked and were so brittle they broke apart and I had to eat the contents of the plate with a fork. The taste was poorly seasoned and tasted like "yesterday's leftover."' I go to Good Stuff with friends and family relatively often so this will be a dish I won't order again. My guest ordered the Barramundi Platter. This is one of his favorite dishes at Good Stuff and he enjoyed it very much and said it was properly seasoned and it definitely looked good. So, basically, I was educated on what not to order next time I visit Good Stuff. I remain a customer but will just make safer choices next time. read more

This should be renamed Good Enough Stuff. It's not bad, it's not great. We had a few things here that were pretty decent (whole wheat honey pancakes, strawberry muffins) and some that fell somewhere between "it's fine, I don't mind eating it again" to "I would get something else next time" (eg, chicken tenders, salmon, lemonade, skillet scramble). Service was friendly, and the restaurant overall was comfortable. They take reservations, so definitely look into that as it got pretty busy. Parking is easy, though the plaza it's in could use several jolts of improved tenants/businesses. read more

I'm glad to see Good Stuff is doing well on The Hill because so few places stand the test of time. Over the years, I have been several times and the food and service are always good. They've got lots on the menu to offer; just no cocktails. Natalie was our server and she was very attentive. We ordered the Yummy Sloppy Chicken Nachos ($17) and the Fried Zucchini Sticks ($14.50) which were both ample and delicious. I love their salsa! This was a date lunch for my wife and I so we ordered a couple of glasses of Chard ($12/each) and it was quite good. We sat outside because it was a nice, warm and sunny day; the patio is lovely. The inside is light and bright. My only recommendation would probably be to swap out those plastic water cups for glass. And some cocktail options would be nice, too. RECOMMEND for a solid, tasty meal. Will it blow you away? Probably not but you won't leave unsatisfied. read more

With 4 locations in the South Bay area of Southern California and initially founded in 1980, Good Stuff Restaurants serves up a good selection of all day breakfast favorites, with a few lunch items as well. My wife, her mom, and I stopped into the Palos Verdes location for breakfast after running errands in the area. It is located inside the Promenade on the Peninsula outdoor shopping mall, so parking would be at the connecting parking garage, and going down to the ground floor where it is located. The interior was very spacious and modern, with a decent size bar anchoring the space and a lot of modern, comfortable booths. It looked new (even though it isn't) and definitely one of the more upscale environments we've eaten at a family diner type restaurant. Beverages was water, and some tea ($4 for a cheap tea bag with some hot water). However, the food was good with decent prices. I really had a hard time deciding among three dishes that I wanted to try. Settled on the Chorizo Chilaquiles ($19), which was really expertly prepared. As described, each tortilla chip had been sauteed in a good enchilada type sauce, and was topped with a generous amount of crumbled, very high quality sausage. It was finished with some crumbled feta, choice of two eggs, and onions. It was clear that time had been spent making, and the presentation was really nice. An order of buttermilk pancakes (a 3 stack for $13.50) was decent, a bit denser than I prefer. And the 1/2 Cinnamon French Toast ($15) with eggs and bacon was decent. Service wasn't great: accurate and expected timeliness, but a bit snooty throughout. The bill was accurate and we were able to join their loyalty club by giving an email address on the receipt. Later got an email confirming our sign-up. Will hopefully have an opportunity to try one of their other locations soon, ordering either the loco moco or carne asada with eggs. read more

I really appreciated the professionalism, communication, and effort they made to address the issue and make things right. Their response showed that they genuinely care about customer experience and food safety. While the original incident was upsetting, especially considering I was dining with my pregnant wife, I do respect businesses that take accountability and respond thoughtfully when concerns are brought to their attention. The food itself was honestly very good, and this follow-up from management has restored my confidence in the restaurant. Wife and I came in today on a whim. Live in the area and have never thought to stop in at Good Stuff restaurant, which is located at the Peninsula Center Mall in Rancho Palos Verdes. Was pleasantly surprised! Seated right away. Hostess was prompt and polite. Initial impressions were me wondering how I've never been here in all the years I've lived in RPV. The ambiance is great! Simple, yet elegant decor. Our first waiter Marco was great! Quick and courteous. He had to leave for the day as his shift ended, and we were handed off to Katie. Katie was amazing as well! Also very courteous, prompt and personable. They clearly train their staff the right way when it comes to proper server etiquette. As for the food, it was delicious! Elected for the traditional cheeseburger and fries, while my wife ordered the Patty Melt and fruit. We were both extremely satisfied with the food and will be returning soon!! One of our favorite location for Good Stuff Restaurant since the wait is usually shorter on the weekends if there's any. Tall ceiling and lots of natural light makes it great to dine in. The food is pretty consistent across all location - good quality ingredients for classics. We love the breakfast items and the cinnamon roll! Had brunch here for my first time this past weekend and I was really impressed. They have multiple locations around the South Bay, but I chose this RPV one to start. Inside is very large and has two different dining room areas, one could be made into a private dining area I'm sure. Our server was extremely polite and really made the meal a great experience. Parking is very easy because it's attached to a mall so there are plenty of free spaces although a bit of a walk to get to the restaurant. The menu is really large and filled with all sorts of California classics so it was a challenge choosing what I wanted to order. We started off with a Cinnamon Roll and thought it was really good. It was not the traditional flaky Cinnamon Roll, but still had great flavor. For my meal I decided to go closer to the lunch side of things by ordering the Carne Asada and Eggs. It was absolutely fabulous, and I already want to order it again. The meat was cooked perfectly, and the rice and guacamole side was very large which I was a fan of. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone searching for a great breakfast spot and I plan to be back many times in the future. read more

There are four "Good Stuff Restaurant" locations in the South Bay. While this may not be the original location, since opening, this store has become a local favorite. And the owners have a reputation for being good neighbors. On this visit, I ordered the carne asada steak. Per the photo, the plate consists of carne asada, black beans, Spanish rice, pico de gallo, guacamole and your choice of three corn or flour tortillas ($22.00). I wish there was a larger serving of beef -- but I always want more beef. As you examine the serving of rice, beans and pico de gallo, understand that they are trying to serve a healthier ratio of animal protein and vegetables -- which is really the theme of this restaurant. The bottom line is that I did not leave hungry. The restaurant is clean and bright. The service is always better than okay. read more

So it is my mother's birthday weekend. I decided to give her a treat. 1 night a Terranea ocean front suit + cake and dinner. I was going to a different restaurant but Good Stuff caught my eyes. After browsing the menu, I placed my take out order. My order was an Omelette, Baja fish tacos and a side steamed veggies. The waiting staffs were great. The lady who took my order was quick. After placing the order, i just waited at the restaurant. It didnt take them long to get my order ready. While i was waiting, i had a little fun chat with another waitress, she was friendly, energetic and attentive. Something about her personality is so attractive, not gonna lie, after the chat, she just went to check on my order and she returned with my order. And my food, there were great.
