Café Papillon absolutely lives up to the hype. Be prepared to wait in line no matter when you go, but trust me, it is worth the wait. We ordered two iced coffees and two crêpes, and everything was phenomenal. Everything is made fresh, and this is absolutely reflected in the taste of the food. There is limited outdoor seating, but if you're heading down on a weekend, it will fill up quickly. Definitely give Café Papillon a try if you're in the Rehoboth area!

Papillon is a Rehobeth must! The crepes are outstanding. The best crepe I've had outside of Paris with authentic crepe options. The bakery's at a separate window with the coffee, croissants, and sandwiches. I won't be going back for the coffee, but if you are in a need for a quick fix with your baked goods it's fine. As for the croissants, they are the best I've found on the eastern seaboard. They know their croissant game and they are made fresh multiple times a day. My kids need a croissant every time we visit the beach, more so than ice cream.... And it's the beach so that's a bold statement. Next time you are in Rehobeth, stop here. It's not a question.

Delicious croissants in a really cute section of Rehoboth beach. My daughter enjoyed their crepes too. I'll def be back to grab more before we head back home.

Authentic Parisian croissants & crepes (and more!) - is there a better way to start your day in Rehoboth? No. I love stopping by here when I'm in town and the rumors are accurate - they sell out of croissants daily! Service is friendly and if there's a line, it's well worth the wait.

Little cafe in the Penny Lane alley. Always has a line but it moves fast for freshly prepared, made in front of you yummie crepes and croissant sandwiches. Cute outdoor tables to eat at and easy, chill beach vibe. Crepes are light and delicious. We got the smoked salmon, sour cream and chive which was so light and delicious. Finished off with a massive sweet Nutella, strawberry and whipped cream. This will satisfy any sweet tooth. Croissants are buttery and light and can be filled with your option. We got the chicken salad. Cute, easy place to get a snack or breakfast before going to the beach.

Fresh made French pastries, yes please! Croissants, eclairs, brioche and baguettes...oh my! On a visit to rehoboth beach, this is must. Located within the Penny Lane Mall, Papillon has many flavors of croissants to choose from. On this trip I had the ham and cheese. I was feeling very savory. Buttery, flaky, cheesy and savory. This hit every flavor note I was craving. They were so good we waited another 13 minutes for another batch to be done. You can't go wrong with any flavor. In addition to baked pastries, they do offer a few sandwiches. All made in their fresh bread. They also have juices and coffee. The frozen coffee mocha, was a delight! Pay them a visit on your next visit to the beach!

Cute little sandwich shop on a walking alley shopping street called Penny Lane. Service is walk-up to a deli-style counter where you can get gourmet coffees, teas, sandwiches and treats. Wife, daughters and I were looking for a quick bite to fuel up, so we shared a couple of overflowing croissant sandwiches. There monsters were piled high with homemade, chunk chicken salad and each came with a side of sliced veggies topped with a drizzle of dressing. Two sammies were enough for the four of us to share, then it was on to more shopping!

The penny lane crepes are delicious, authentic and nostalgic for me and my cousins! They are fluffy, not soggy, and the just perfect amount of sweet! The chocolate sauce tastes better than the store made kind, and the strawberries are fresh and delicious! Service can be a little slow since they only have 2 workers making crepes at a time, but if you are alright with waiting it's worth it in my opinion! Seating is also provided and it's pretty nice, with some shade provided and located in the cute little alley way!

this place is amazing! great coffee and even better croissants. highly recommend this place and the almond croissant

Delicious little place of treat off the beach. The wait line could get long but it's worth it. Patience is key. The Grand Marnier is simple but perfect. Paired with Ham, Cheese and Tomato makes it a tasty treat to share. Savory and Sweet ...with coffee. What more could you ask? Whip cream on the side. Lol.

We got a sweet cheese croissant and an eclair. My fiancé got a smoked salmon sandwich and an iced latte. YUM! We thoroughly enjoyed everything that we got. Definitely will be back tomorrow morning! Great service. Cute little sitting area outside. Loved it.

We each had a veggie omelette, one with egg whites and no cheese and the other with Swiss. The omelette comes with a portion of potatoes (they were fine), a small salad (nice touch, with a decent vinaigrette) and bread. We got English muffin ($1 extra) with one and an everything bagel ($2 extra - no cream cheese) with the other. The omelette was large, with good portion of filling, including spinach and tomato. I don't know if they use an especially good Swiss cheese, but it "popped". The coffee here (Segafredo) was really good. A medium blend, but flavorful and rich. I really enjoyed the coffee and plan to buy some when I get home. The service here is very good. There's one place we go to once whenever we visit Rehoboth, both because it's solid and for nostalgia (Robin Hood). That will remain our first place. But I think we found our place for the second breakfast. It's a bit more expensive than some (by a couple of dollars), but the portions are large, the food is good and the coffee is great.

This was some of the thickest most delicious looking scrapple. He said the looks match the taste! Coffee was lacking heavily for him, verbatim "It's basically dirty water...". I got a fresh pressed orange juice + steak and eggs w/ asparagus and was not disappointed by any means! All around just good healthy food. We made it there on our second day and it's clear that this seems to be a favorite to both locals and visitors. Upon arriving, it was pretty difficult to find parking as all of the spots were taken, so we quickly located a spot on the residential street nearby. Walking in, the line was almost to the front door, but I didn't mind as it gave me plenty of time to peruse the menu for coffee and breakfast options. I loved seeing the coffee beans available for purchase as well as some of their merchandise on my way to the counter, in addition to admiring the hand-painted murals and so many cool seating options. The tables have really beautiful woodworking, many of which have raw edges which add a lot of personality. Order up! I opted for an iced latte with an extra shot of espresso (because I definitely needed an energy boost that day) and coconut flavoring, frozen matcha, the breakfast sandwich, and a glazed doughnut. I was really intrigued by the coffee smoothie which was featured and highlighted in multiple spaces. The term "smoothie" threw me off but I discovered from a fellow patron that it's simply a frozen blended coffee and they order it all the time. Loved checking out the outdoor seating options as well as the bar that shares the same local, Mary and Margs (SUCH a great name). Since we came in later in the morning/early afternoon, there were already quite a few people flocking to the barstools, ordering espresso martinis, which looked divine. I have to say that my coffee was delightful, you can tell that the beans were freshly ground and the extra shot of espresso really did the trick for me. The frozen matcha was delicious, 10/10, no notes! Would definitely get that again and would try the coffee smoothie next time. I ate my entire breakfast sandwich because I was starving but was expecting a lot more. The homemade biscuit is what intrigued me the most but I think I've been spoiled with some really amazing housemaid biscuit sandwiches back home so this one really fell short for me; it was kind of hard, a little burnt. All in all, this is a really cute, trendy spot, which seems to attract people of all ages with a very robust menu from morning to evening. Definitely want to come back and check out more items!
