For appetizer I ordered, paprika's Mediterranean grilled wings, my picky-eating boyfriend told me this might be the best wings he ever ordered. I can totally understand why this is everyone's favorite. I ordered Eggplant All'Arrabiata, I thought this meal was very good, there was a lot of rice! My boyfriend ordered the Chicken ala paprika he licked the plate clean, not a single grain of rice. We were too full to try the dessert unfortunately. The service was quick and friendly. Cafe Paprika makes my favorite sandwich on the planet: the Chicken Milanese. I tried it once years ago and have been hooked ever since. It is consistent and delicious every single time and served with a cole slaw (that tastes like it is tossed in a sort of honey mustard sauce.) The food is so perfectly crafted with great attention to detail, so expect to wait at least 15-20 minutes if you call ahead. This isn't a bad thing; just know this ahead so you don't drag a business through the mud over a first world complaint. The customer service is always (and I mean always) pleasant. This is my first time trying Moroccan food and must say its pretty delish. I was suprised to see a yelp rating of solid 5 stars (don't think I ever seen it before). After my first visit I can totally see why. It was a Saturday evening around 8ish and the place had a steady crowd. The place is a small cafe (think it can seat up to 30ppl). Though it's a small café - their menu was pretty extensive and reasonably priced. Note - no liquor available. Based on the owner's recommendation, we ordered the following: Apps: Eggplant Involtini - well seasoned and served with grilled bread Paprika's Mediterranean Grilled Chicken Wings - the skin was nicely grilled crisp Entree: Mrouzia Almond Chicken - generally, based on the ingredients I would not have ordered it (raisins and onions) but glad I took the recommendation. The ingredients and the spices work really well together and the meat was cooked tender. Marinated Steak Brochettes - topped off with a tomatoe based sauce over rice (I do not eat steak so could not comment directly but my hubby said the steak was pretty tender and tasty). Dessert (yes we made room for two desserts): Lemon Cake - moist and tasty lemon, refreshing after dinner Flourless Chocolate Cake - rich like fudge Few notable customer service incidents while dining: 1. The owner seems to know most of the diners by name. 2. Customer picking up take out and owner says, "I think we left out a soup from your last order. I'm going to include a dessert for you.". Having just moved to Norwood two weeks ago, I wanted to find a local spot to have dinner and break a long day's Ramadan fast. So I called ahead earlier today to ask if the meat served is halal and was told that it was. Check. When we showed up, it was just a few minutes before iftaar (fast breaking time). We were greeted by a very kind gentleman, who, judging by the positive reviews, must be the owner. Upon finding out we were about to break our fast, he told us to take a seat. He then brought us a platter of dates, an awesome honey/sesame cookie named chebakia, hardboiled eggs, and milk. Needless to say, we weren't expecting this at all. Totally hit the spot. We ordered two lamb dishes to go, one sweet with potatoes and other slightly spicy with bell peppers. We also grabbed two bottles from the fridge of their homemade lemonade (limonata) and "lime rickey", a fizzy, red beverage. A few minutes later, as we were handed our food and I walked up to the register, the owner told us that our entire meal was on the house. I couldn't believe it. I can't think of the last time I felt such warmth and generosity at a restaurant. Nothing short of pure, sincere hospitality at its very finest. The food was amazing. Generous portions, flavorful, and fresh. Tasted homemade. If you're considering going here, don't spend a second longer debating. Just go. Salmon tagine with couscous was very nice. Big portion, very filling. It comes in a clay hot pot, which is very unique; I've not had such an experience in the Boston area so highly recommend. Marrakesh tagine was delicious. The side of roasted potatoes was too salty. The potatoes within the tagine however were just right. So wonderful to have multi-ethnic food in Norwood. Cafe Paprika was one of those restaurants that i found on Yelp with a 5-star rating couple of years back while i was in providence and being a huge fan of north-african food i definitely wanted to try this place. I moved to south boston an year back and finally got the opportunity to give it a try. The first time i visited this restaurant was with couple of my friends. I ordered their grilled salmon and one of my friends got the grilled chicken wings. Chicken wings were definitely unique. The grilled salmon was perfect. This is my third time i visited this restaurant with my wife few days back and i know from anthony bourdain's travel show that morocco is big in sea food so i again went with the roasted tilapia and my belief was right. Didn't dis-appoint. My wife ordered M'charmel chicken which was pretty descent too. I heard their desert items are worth a try, definitely on my to-try list :). They are located in a convenient location in norwood, ma and of course the owner of the restaurant is very kind. He greets everyone and takes care of them. We stopped in from out of town for dinner. It was more than dinner, it was an experience. The food was remarkable and the ambiance was relaxed and uplifting. The owner was jovial and welcoming. He took great pride in his cooking and in nurturing people through food. All of this was reflected in the meal. Second time at this place and both times, left beyond full and wanting to come back! The owner is very friendly, service was awesome. I ordered the bruschetta and he said, the tomatoes are out of season and not as good as he would have liked, but said he will still make it, if i still wanted it. I said thanks, and got it anyway. In addition to the tomatoes (which were as he said, being out of season) there were roasted peppers and goat cheese, and other things. All i could say, is i need to get my butt back there when the tomatoes are in season, because as it stood, it was probably the best damn bruschetta I've ever had! He brought an entire plate of it and i ate it all! I also ordered the Lamb Royal and it was perfectly cooked and delicious. I would def go back there, and will when back in town. Never has there been a time where I have been disappointed at this authentic quant spot. The owner is also the chef and often comes out to either assist in the front or to run the cash register which is always a nice touch; especially when he gives tips on how to maintain authenticity when attempting to re-create original recipes from back in the home country! The portion for the calamari is a bit small compared to other places, but it was really good! I am a big fan of garlic and there were plenty on it! The grilled chicken wings were soooooo good. The sauce that it comes drenched in was amazing. It was tangy with just the right amount of salt to balance. I didn't think it was that salty, but then again i love salt... Since it was my first time here, I decided to try to marakesh kefta tangine and the mrouzia almond chicken, which is what most of the reviews for this place suggested. To be honest, I thought they were good, but not great. I was wowed by the amazing flavors that the calmari and the grilled wings delivered, so personally I thought these other two dishes were a bit bland in comparison. They were still good, but my taste buds were expecting more! Towards the end of our meal one of the staff said to leave room for dessert and we happily obliged. We ordered the lemon citron cake and it was seriously one of the best lemon cake i've ever had. I regret not getting my own slice! Even though I was super full, I probably could have eaten a few more slice of that amazing cake. It was moist with just the right amount of sweetness and citrus tang. You can ignore the rest of my review, but just order the citron lemon cake! Trust me on this! Also this place has one of the best customer service! We have never tasted Moroccan food before, so had no idea what to expect but we were excited to taste it for the first time. This restaurant popped up on Yelp while searching for Mediterranean restaurants. We visited for a Friday dinner, the place is small and cozy with 8-10 seating tables. Firstly, they have a huge variety of dishes on the menu which I can't even pronounce. And btw their drinks menu is displayed on the wall, so don't forget to check them out. We ordered Moroccan coffee - good flavor, but very strong for my taste Lemon Chicken Tagine and Eggplant All'Arrabiata (These were their popular dishes based on Yelp reviews) The food was good but not very impressive or felt wow and Eggplant All'Arrabiata felt more like Mexican for us. Amazing flourless, gluten free chocolate cake, wonderful tea selection (especially coming from someone who does not generally like or order tea). The restaurateur offered a special remedy to be added to my tea, as I was feeling particularly under the weather. I enjoyed the Po Boy sandwich, chicken soup, and calamari salad. A nice family owned place. The food is traditional moroccan - meditteranean with some influences from other countries nearby. For my appetizer I got the harrira soup which was great and I will have no issues drinking another bowl (and it was a BIG bowl). For my entree, got the soul tagine and can happily say it was the best dish on the table. The spices came through, the sauce was delicious and the vegetable were perfectly cooked. The bread was pefectly crispy and chewy at the same time. However the vegetarian couscous and the lemon chicken tagine which mt friends got did not get the same reaction as my food. The couscous had a lot of couscous but the flavor was missing. Lemon chicken tagine was amazing to look at but lacked some seasoning. When hot sauce was added, all tasted great! Let's get the bad out of the way first: It's a small restaurant, maybe 5-6 booths and 3-4 tables. The food sometimes takes a while to come out. Arriving later than 45 minutes before close is a no-no. But, really, who cares? The food is just excellent. The wings, the mussels, THE CALAMARI, the just about everything. Get tea. Get dessert. Order the whole menu. Move to Norwood Center. The grilled wing appetizer alone is worth driving here for. The crispy wings covered with garlic and spices with olive oil and just a hint of lemon are probably the best wings I've ever had. I will be back and quite possibly will have 2 orders of them for my meal, they are that good. I subtracted a star because while the staff was friendly, they were not very attentive. An empty glass without any offer to refill about 3/4 throughly meal doesn't work for me. My walnut and date terrine entree was good, but I would have liked for the chicken to have been a bit more flavorful. There is not a bar and they don't serve alcohol but you won't need it. The owner runs the front and he is hilarious. He wanted to get to know all of us so he could help us pick the right meal. He goofed around with our troublemaker and laughed with all of us. Food: Once the decisions were made, the food started coming out. First the cheese and olive tray; I wish we could order that online and have it shipped home...it was that good! Then our entrees. He told us to leave room for dessert but the food was so good that we felt guilty leaving any of the huge portions behind. He started by asking us who wanted coffee with our desserts. Only one raised her hand. He said, "Good, I just wanted to know who could have cake. You have to eat cake correctly." Before we knew it we had ALL ordered coffee and one of each of the desserts to share. And boy was he right. He instructed us on how to eat cake: 1) place bite of the cake on roof of mouth (don't chew/swallow) 2) take drink of coffee 3) enjoy cake melting Interesting fact-the cake only had 4 ingredients, making it around 320 calories. Frankly, there aren't many food options in the area. The Norwood downtown, however, has grown in recent years and there some good places to dine. One of them is Cafe Paprika and it's the real deal for Moroccan food. The owner is very friendly and seems passionate about his food. It's one of the few inspired food places around. CP has been around for many years, and it's one of the few culturally different food options in an otherwise one-dimensional food landscape of endless I-don't-care-what-I-eat pub food, Italian, and mediocre Mexican. read more

My boss highly recommended this place, so we ordered takeout. We had the wings appetizer (fantastic); the lemon chicken with dates & walnuts on couscous had a lovely taste; beef skewers, and two kinds of potatoes were also really good. We didn't know that the restaurant would be closing in 20 minutes when we placed our order (pandemic hours are, of course, shorter than normal), but the owner graciously said he'd cook our meal and it would be ready in 20 minutes. He was welcoming, courteous, personable and grateful that we raced over there so he didn't have to stay late. We will definitely order again from here, and when we can eat again in restaurants, we'll be there right away; the wings were so good, we'll get two orders (and I don't even like wings); and there are several soups, entrees and desserts we want to try. read more
