I love the outdoor but covered patio area - made for a really comfortable and enjoyable al fresco lunch on a Friday afternoon. I don't love the gravel patio, but appreciate that it was warm and they had extra seating. My husband and I drive 40 minutes for the omelette, sourdough toast, and strawberry jam. It's that good. The chicken salad comes on your choice of bread I prefer a croissant this dish comes with chips but I'd recommend getting a half salad or fries. Ah, Patachou, how I love you! This was a quick visit on our way to drop my MIL off at the airport. Our food arrived promptly and the check was dropped off quickly allowing us to get in and out. Normally, Patachou is slammed but it was not busy at all on a Thursday morning. I guess this is the time to visit! I got my usual order: granola, yogurt, and fruit with a side of cinnamon toast. Amazing!! I also love their highlander grog coffee. So tasty! And the ability to take a take away coffee for the road is a nice touch. I will always recommend Cafe Patachou, even though it's so busy on weekends when I can normally visit. If you're into granola, order that here! Seriously some of the best granola I've ever had. If you eat breakfast, brunch or lunch, this please MUST be on your list! The food is so clean here, yet there's something really decadent about it. They source locally, and they also have a foundation that helps feed children in need. (All IPS children get real, fresh fruit or vegetables each day as a snack. Kiwi, turnips--items they may never have been exposed to before. I LOVE THIS!!) Their omelette are so fresh and fluffy. There's always an omelette of the day. Fist time here. Used to go more regularly to the old place on 126th. I really like what they've done. Lots of space with modern decor. Simple as other locations and good for talking. Foos is great as always and service was really good. Its a favorite on weekends as I see lots of cars. That being the case call ahead to see about seating. Located off of Hazel Dell and 131st/Main Street, Cafe Patachou is in the same shopping area as Pizzaology and Starbucks. The food is stellar as always and the staff is friendly and prompt. Coffee is self serve next to their bakery display and patrons can help themselves while they are waiting or after they have been seated. This space is bigger than their old Carmel location and offers patio seating for the spring and summer months. There are so many VEGAN options to choose from, you won't feel like you are limited to one choice. All of the salads can be made vegan. There are also sandwiches and breakfast options that are vegan. I ordered the vegan omelette and it was delicious. The two sauces on the side were slightly spicy but still very flavorful. The service was super awesome and the food came out in a timely manner. I was pleasantly surprised how fast we were seated in which the restaurant was packed. The desserts in the pastry case looked delicious but I didn't look up close so I don't know if any were vegan. I'm excited to have another Patachou in Carmel! I went during the first couple weeks it was open, on a Monday morning. I find weekday mornings are the best if you want your seat of choice and no line. The food, coffee, and service are what I've come to expect from all Patachou spots - superb! I'm glad they have two coffee spots, one in front and back. The servers were super kind and eager to serve us. I can't wait for the patio to be open, that is going to be wonderful. The bathrooms are gorgeous - I want to hire their interior designer. This spot is perfect for Carmel churchgoers - I imagine it is madness on Sundays with Grace and Northview nearby. So if you don't like a line I would imagine avoid this after 9am on a Sunday. My one gripe - which sounds so silly - is how the checks are brought out. They're brought on these cool wood plates with a rock on top. Aesthetically very pretty, but I can imagine that being chaos when it's busy and a party of 5 wants separate checks. The poor waiter can only do one thing- bring two maybe three checks at a time. Instead of being able to put it in her apron, clear a plate, bring out a meal, check on people, and then get to bringing a check. If it works for them - awesome! Just seemed different to me. I've been a huge fan of Cafe Patachou from the first week I moved to Indy. Since then I became a frequent customer at their Carmel location. You might imagine that I was disappointed to learn that they were closing that site. However, knowing they planned to open a new, larger location just a bit further north turned my initial displeasure into enthusiastic anticipation. February 13, 2017-- I'm enjoying the opening day of the new location near Hazel Dell & Main. The space is much more expansive and open. It's roughly double the size in capacity, and that's not including the covered eating area outdoors! Electric is how I'd describe today's ambiance. People are clearly enjoying their time here. The servers are upbeat and attentive. Not surprisingly, the food is fantastic and fresh. Stop in and check out Cafe Patachou. Your taste buds will thank you for it. read more

Now I've been to the Clay Terrace location but I recently went to the new Main St. location in Caramel. Upon arrival I was not impressed with parking. Knowing that this place was popular, I feel like more parking space should've been available. Now I got there around 12:45 so it was pretty packed for brunch. My wait was estimated at 15 minutes but they did offer a bar table. The bar table seats weren't that comfortable & honestly the bar area is a pretty tight spaced area. Besides a few cons, let's focus on the pros. The service was great. My server was prompt & 100% friendly. She always smiled & seemed like she really loved her job!! Even other servers would stop by to check on my friend & I to see if we needed anything. We did get their infamous Mimosa Pitcher & I must say they are perfect! (it's half the reason I came back) I'm the type of person who likes to taste a good amount of alcohol in her drink & they make it perfectly. Now you can definitely taste the orange juice but it really has a kick to it. Also, one of my favorite things about this restaurant is that it appreciates eating in a more healthy lifestyle. I got the "Hippie with a Benz" omelet (sub with egg whites) which has Spinach, Tomato, Mushroom, & Feta. It came with wheat toast & arugula that has a light house vinaigrette. Patachou has been my go-to breakfast and lunch cafe for 7+ years. The consistency is always spot-on, and I am continuously impressed by the freshness and high quality of the food, especially the fruit and greens. I have often wondered aloud where their fruit comes from as it is always so flavorful and ripe. I have been to every location except 1, and my favorite location has become the one in Carmel off Main Street. There is a server there named Debra who is always exceptionally friendly and sociable, and goes the extra mile. She definitely makes the experience even better each time she is my server. My all time favorite brunch location! They have THE BEST cinnamon toast! I really enjoy their coffee variety & iced tea variety. They have pretty great entrees, too! Their breakfast & lunch items are both good - you can't go wrong with either. The menu isn't your typical pancakes & eggs, but the ingredients are all pretty straightforward. We had the perfect restaurant experience at this Cafe Patachou. It was pretty busy when we walked in but we were seated within a couple minutes. The staff was super friendly, our server was extremely sweet and attentive but didn't hover. The best part by far was the extensive vegan options, labeled either "vegan" or "vegan option" (which can be easily altered to become vegan). They had the same system with "gluten free" and "gluten free option." I ordered the vegan omlette and my partner ordered the "Phat Rabbit" sandwich. Both were delicious, flavorful, and nutritionally complete. We loved the cashew ricotta! Additionally, the environment was extremely LGBTQ+ friendly and we felt safe and accepted by all staff.
