He was waiting for his pick up order that was just waiting behind the counter- He ended up just grabbing it and leaving after 20 mins of watching his food sit there. After this young lady finally came out from the kitchen joking and making convo with some other worker I told her what happen with the guy- she could have cared less Her reply was "What do you want" Not a hello, not a welcome, not a please. Not a thank you for spending $6 on a small coffee. I told her my order. She turned around and made the worst cup of pistachio flavored latte anyone could have made She continued to just talk to her friend while the machine did the work- usually people hold the cup and make sure the froth is just right. She didn't even hold the cup. Nor look at it nor care. She didn't even put pistachio I think. It tastes like regular if you ask me- After the machine beeped twice she finally put it in the cup turned around and said "Here you go" Not a bye Not a thank you Nothing- Very rude Didn't wash her hands Didn't give 2 poops. - so if I could give you ZERO stars I would but I can't. Check the young dark skin heavyset girl who worked Wednesday 3/18 she needs to be checked seriously. I WILL NEVER BE GOING BACK !

Borealis has been a regular stop for me for years now, and I'm overdue writing a review. The…read moreBristol location is the newest and is tucked into a converted mill building on Wood Street. Tt has everything you'd want from a great coffee shop: comfortable seating, plenty of room to spread out and work, a rentable conference room, and something you would not expect from a coffee shop, the Aurora Bar, stocked with a nice selection of local spirits and other favorites. My partner and I stopped in for a quick nibble for lunch on Sunday and this was perfect. My partner went with the Caprese sandwich, which is served on a pressed ciabatta with fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, roasted red peppers, spinach, pesto mayo, and balsamic. It was simple and tasty, and I was lucky enough to get a couple bites! I went with the Chicken Bacon Ranch Wrap, which was also simple, but packed with flavor. It had all the obvious ingredients with the addition of pickles, which added such a nice briny little punch and really hit the spot. Something worth noting: both of our items were ordered from the laminated menu at the register, not in the beautiful leather-bound Aurora Bar menu, which appears to be an evening menu with cocktails and other tasty food items. For drinks, I went with an espresso tonic; the slight bitterness of the quinine plays really nicely against the bold espresso, and it's one of those combinations that's refreshing in a way that's hard to explain until you try it. One small note for the team: the Riverside location has always had a real warmth and cohesion to the staff that I haven't quite felt at Bristol. It's not a dealbreaker by any stretch, but a little more energy behind the counter would go a long way. Still a five-star spot, as the coffee and the space more than make up for it.

The vibes were great, there was plenty of room for our party (we had 7 of us), and it didn't feel crowded at all despite the number of people that were in the coffee shop. I think that the only downside that I would say for our experience is that the drinks at the bar took FAR too long, although they were good! We came here in the evening, but I would definitely love to pop in at some point during the day because I do think that this would be a wonderful little study spot!

We went on a Thursday about 10:30 & I was surprised how busy they were at that off time. I was thinking everyone should have been at work, but maybe some were making ghost appearances that day! We both ordered the yogurt parfait & I ordered an iced vanilla latte. So many yummy sounding things on the menu to choose from. Extremely clean, you can tell the owner/manager & staff take a lot of pride in their place.

It was very busy for noon on a weekday, though it is summer and the weather was gorgeous. The restaurant itself is clean and well kept. The outdoor area is lovely. There's plenty of seating and a fun tiki bar that opens in the summertime. For lunch, I got the wild berry iced tea and the breakfast bowl. My sister got the tea and avocado toast. Portion sizes are small, and at cafe prices. The avocado toast was super disappointing... it was one slice of bread, a smear of avocado, and about a quarter cup of chopped up tomatoes. I put more butter on my toast than the amount of avocado this one had. It's a great local spot, but be warned about the food/prices.

We needed a reservation for the bar seating because the limited tables were all booked. Reservations are a must days in advance. We tried three different appetizers, grilled cauliflower, steamers, and grilled octopus. We were very pleased with all three dishes. Flavor popped on every bite. For entrees we had the Nola Style Shrimp N' Grits, Folklore Burger, Salmon and Chicken Bowl specials. The Portuguese cooking style created mouth watering bites and succulent flavors. We were all very content, and full after our meals.

Ordered the clam chowder which was very good. It leans towards a Rhode Island Chowder, which I prefer vs. the creamy New England Chowder. Nice flavor, and the dice chourico was visible . I only found it a bit salty and it was served with a Portuguese roll. I also ordered the Cacoila sandwich which was also served with on a Portuguese roll and I opted for the seasoned fries which were very tasty. The pork was tender and flavorful, but again a bit salty for me. I don't use a lot of salt and my tolerance and taste of salt is low. Otherwise the sandwich & chowder had some nice flavors.
