I've been to Cafe Roma a few times with my family. We have always enjoyed our meals. My favorite so far is the calzone with garlic and chicken. It is very garlicky so if you enjoy that I'd give it a try. I also Love the cheese pizza/bread they give with the pasta. I could eat a whole pizza of that! Normally the portions are large and the price is fair. Every time we have gone it has always been clean and the staff is always very kind. The wait is a bit longer than normal but I do believe it's all made fresh so I'm ok with waiting a few mins longer. The only thing I don't particularly enjoy is how loud the live music can be. I know it's not every day they do live music but we happen to go on the days they do lol! I do love live music-it's great! But I wish they would turn the speaker down just a smidge, enough to still chat with the people at your table. read more

Ate here for the first time with family and friends during the Whoville Celebration. Due to the festivities they were very busy but we didn't have to wait that long. We got 2 large pizzas and a canzone. The food took awhile to arrive but the waitresses there were attentive and made sure drinks were full and see if we needed anything. The food finally arrived and was fresh and hot. It was honestly one of the best pizzas I have had in awhile. Would highly recommend this place if you want great pizza and are looking to get away from the regular chain restaurants. read more

The 2 star rating is not because the food isn't good. It is. The last two times we have been several people have come in after us, locals who the staff knows based on conversations, and ordered after us but received their food before us by 10-20 minutes. Was on a Sunday afternoon drive, stopped in Enterprise. Looked online for places to eat that were open, this place popped up. Reviews were good. Gave it a shot. So glad I did. Food and service were great. Check out the artwork, especially the brick work in the first room. It's an hour away from home but I'll find an excuse to go back up there in a heartbeat. We have eaten here several times while in enterprise. The food is always great. Service is quick and friendly as well. The restaurant is located inside an old building so lacks a little but seems clean. Sometimes they have live entertainment so that's nice. Even the salad here is great! Give it a try. read more

We came during late lunch, and the biggest complaint would be that the service is super slow. We almost walked out since the first waitress pointedly ignored us and instead tended to a table that was seated ten minutes after us. Nothing else was open in the area on Sunday so we ended up staying. When a waitress finally did see us (we had to flag a different waitress down) we at least got some great food that was fairly authentic Italian for a small town in Alabama. The interior is very ambient and well-styled. There was live music which was very nice. The kitchen saved this place because the service doesn't even deserve a star, which is what I usually base my review on. We eat at Cafe Roma frequently and always enjoy it. The atmosphere and ambience are great and incorporate a nice blend of local elements. They also have live music on Friday and Saturday nights, and Sundays at lunch. We have enjoyed each artist we've heard. I've enjoyed all the food I've ordered. The pizza is fantastic and I love the chicken parmigiana. The lasagna and sandwiches are great and so are the french fries. My wife loves the chicken pasta. The bread is homemade and is wonderful. We went here last Friday and had a really enjoyable meal. I cannot remember exactly what my husband had, but whatever it was he asked that they then bake it with melted cheese on top, our waitress checked and that's what he had and he was happy with it. I had the large sized chicken pesto pasta and It was delicious. I also enjoyed a couple glasses of Pinot Grigio which was reasonably priced and tasty. And best of all was the live music. I believe the musician is named John. He played the keyboard, sang and also played the trumpet. He doesn't sing Tom Jones (not his style) but sang My Girl by request, I believe a Willy Nelson song and some older Classic Country/Rock--definitely a good entertainer! read more

She did not even bring us water. She took our order then she never checked on us for the next 40 minutes until she brought our food out. And of course the pizza we ordered was completely wrong. Since that first visit, I try to eat lunch there anytime I'm driving through. Today I tried the eggplant parm sandwich. Everything about it was delicious!! Cafe Roma is a delightful surprise on Main St in Enterprise, AL. The corner restaurant is huge but doesn't feel crowded or packed in. A loud table of kids nearby was a minor distraction to the easy tunes playing from the speakers, or the TVs. But Cafe Roma is all about the food. That being said, the atmosphere was pleasant. I ordered Chicken pasta and a side salad. the small portion was a perfect size. the meal was fresh, light, delicious, filling, and a satisfying end to the long day. Yazu feta vinagrette dressing was perfect and the wedge of cheese topped bread made both my belly and heart smile. It was tough to choose from the menu - everything sounded great! In Enterprise to visit another restaurant and ended up trying Cafe Roma because the restaurant we wanted was closed. The waitress was friendly & there was live music which was great! The food was ok, but not the greatest Italian food we've had. Of course having lived in Italy for two years may have caused us to be biased. We had the eggplant parmesan & meatball calzone. The eggplant was good, but the sauce tasted bland & not enough to cover the plain Angel hair noodles. The calzone was ok. We didn't feel as though it was what we had was worth over $60. Unfortunately, this won't be out go to for Italian food. Good try though. read more

Great service, very personable. The food was okay when I went here. I really wanted to find a great Italian spot in the area, but I was a little underwhelmed with the food. It's not that it's bad, or that they messed anything up. It's just that their take on the dishes run counter to what I like. I had the spinach artichoke dip as a starter. They serve there's with a little pizza like dipping bread - pizza crust, I think a garlic butter sauce, then mozzarella cheese. That part was okay, but the dip itself was a little boring. It was mostly spinach, only a couple of artichoke chunks, which usually provide the acid. I also seem to recall feta on the menu. I always prefer it with parmesan, but being creative is not a crime, and it doesn't clash. My main was chicken parmesan. This was where I was more disappointed. I finished it all, it wasn't terrible by any stretch, it just wasn't great either. They pile spaghetti, then top with chopped breaded chicken and then sauce and cheese. They serve it with the same little pizza things, which did not go as well with the entrée. The pasta was slightly overcooked. I think that's unfortunately very easy because they choose to use angel hair. You can use angel for a simple tomato sauce, but it tends to be better in light dishes like garlic herb. Under chicken it's going to tear up when you go to twirl your fork, especially when it's overdone. When I think chicken parmesan, I picture a whole breaded chicken breast, served uncut, with nice browning on the cheese. Cut, it makes the chicken dry fast, which mine did. So it wasn't a juicy bite of chicken, it was a difficult to eat mélange. The sauce was alright, although the flavor made me think diced canned tomatoes or maybe even a premade sauce. It was very reminiscent of Barilla's, but it might have been homemade and just covered by the cheese and chicken. For the area, though it's one of the better places. There's not a lot of competition, and it definitely beats olive garden by a large margin. read more

Pretty delicious Italian restaurant right in the heart of downtown Enterprise! I've been here a few times and I love their calzones and salads. The calzones are piping hot and very filling. My husband got the Chicken Alfredo and the cream sauce was well-made. My only complaint about their menu is that their "meatballs" are served sliced. That's not a meatball but I appreciate our server giving us a heads up so we could choose something else. The Service has always been consistent and this evening, our server Stacy was awesome. We ordered spaghetti and meatballs with the meatballs on the side bc I am a vegetarian and my wife wanted it. What's in the picture was supposed to be her meatballs!!! No sauce or anything just chunks of meat! and they gave us microwaved sauce on the side and plain noodles on the side. So for like $13 we got beef patties cut up and microwaved sauce straight out of a jar. We also got marinara sticks which were like frozen from the grocery store with again microwaved sauce. We ordered a small cheese pizza for our daughter. It wasn't bad & it wasn't too good. It was the best thing we had tho. Our server was nice but the food was pathetic. Never going back. We had tried to eat here a few years ago at the Daleville location and had the same experience. (We were hoping it had improved) On the menu it says the food is made fresh when you order. But when I asked our server if I could have lasagna without the meat she said No because it is premade. So that's not true. read more

HARD PASS! If you are not willing to wait at least 20 minutes before getting service at your table, Cafe Roma is not the place to go. Over a 20 minutes wait and disheveled owner with the attitude comes to the table to place down menus. What a joke. We were going to provide our drink order instead, she quickly cut us off and stated with the worst attitude " you have to wait because I have to take care of the others before you." We looked around only to see others who looked like they were equally as frustrated. As a local, I wondered why they really never have a full house but, the food is supposed to be pretty good. To be honest, it's average at best. This is our second time visiting Cafe Roma and its a repeat experience. I don't know if it's because we are African Americans or we simply wanted to eat but on this day its a never again at the Cafe Roma for us. Really praying we had another, better, local Italian restaurant on Maine Street. Not worth your time or money. Trust me you will be pissed. read more
