The Friday $3 margaritas were tasty and I loved the Tequila lime pasta with shrimp. It was definitely better than the Tequila lime pasta with chicken a member of our party tried which was a little dry and bland. Very attentive staff and overall great customer experience. Expect the unexpected! It's a GOOD thing! Could not get over the flavors and nutritional value of my citrus shrimp salad. I am a pescatarian plus I eat salads all the time but this was so unusual the way it was prepared and blended I just loved it. They also provided UNEXPECTED complementary chips and very authentic relatively hot salsa. For a weary traveler having this delivered in a beautiful red gift bag to my hotel room door really made it feel special. I recently moved to St. George, and after an exhausting day of unpacking and driving I was ready to relax with my family. We went to Cafe Sabor after seeing good reviews on Yelp, and we were not disappointed!! Our server was Corie, who is also one of the restaurant's managers, and she was fantastic. She kept our drinks and chips refilled, and she was super friendly and fun to chat with. We were lucky enough to come on a Friday, which is $3 margarita night. The margarita was tasty, especially since it was only $3! We tried the chicken quesadilla, the chicken mole, and the shrimp enchiladas. Everything was served piping hot and everything was delicious!! How great is it that a Logan classic is all the way in St G now. Although I've never been a huge fan of the food, the service is always top of the notch. The food is good but make note that it is American-Mexican and a little blah to my taste. I did find some things I enjoyed: the two salsas they bring out with the chips are delicious. I especially like the spicier one! The chile relleno was tasteful; it wasn't over breaded and the poblano had great heat. I wasn't a huge fan of the sweet pork in my enchilada and the red sauce needed more flavor. Overall, this is a spectacular place to come as a group. We had a large 10+ person group next to our group on 5 and I didn't feel like it was overcrowded or too loud. The upstairs provides a nice escape from groups with kids, because upstairs is where the bar is (must be 21+ to be seated up there. I loved the "rooftop" feel with the open windows and light breeze coming through. If only the roof popped open altogether, how great would that be! Shout out to Conner for the fantastic service! Worse service experience you can have at a restaurant in St. George. Given them soooo many chances. Food is good but you need patience of a saint. Plan to wait at least a couple hours despite any attempt you may do to try plan ahead. They will have million excuses of why they can't handle more than 10 people. You can order ahead and show up at the time they tell and they will tell you sorry we are backed up. It's most awful experience. They're never truthful with time frames. It's not worth it. read more

We were hungry at a baseball game and we thought we can just order take out and go back to the hotel and eat. My whole family ordered flour tortillas and we all got corn! Then we ordered 3 fried ice creams and we didn't get any. We asked for mild salsa and got hot. So we called the restaurant and they said we are so sorry you can come in and we will get the order right for free. The manager was very kind and willing to make it right, which was nice. We go in the next afternoon to eat there and we asked for the same meals with flour tortillas. We mentioned flour multiple times just to make sure and what do you know we got corn! Good times! I have noticed that the quality of this restaurant has been trending down the last two or three times we have eaten there. I ordered chicken fajitas after asking the server whether the chicken was grilled or not. She couldn't really answer. I went ahead and ordered it hoping that they grill the chicken. Chicken fajitas cost 16 bucks. When the dish arrived I counted 9 small pieces of chicken, one slice of zucchini, two small pieces of onion on a huge bed of sliced red and green peppers. They proportions were so off they might as well call this chicken and sliced peppers. The chicken was not grilled. I've been going to this restaurant for the last two years but I think yesterday will be my last trip to Cafe Sabor. read more

We come here often when in town! Their guac, chips and salsa are to die for! We get the pork quesadilla and split it between three of us and a Chile rellano. AMAZING! They portions are big! Three of us never finish all of it because we are so full. Of course we save a little room to grab a couple chocolates on our way out at bluebird chocolates in their lobby. read more

Terrible service!!! I've tried three times now and it was a fail each time. The servers completely neglect you or act like they could care less to have your business. I just walked out. They sat us an hour before closing. It wasn't busy at all. One table full of servers friends hanging out and two others. My party sat not even acknowledged for 25 min. No water, no greeting. they didn't even care we were there. We left. It's fine this place is perfect for people that have all the time in the world and want to pay $5 for a regular sized street taco or $16 for a freaking quesadilla with grilled chicken. Waited for an hour after being seated and never received our food and were never updated on the status of our food. When we asked we were told there was "an issue in the kitchen and they were making the food now". During this time 2 large groups that were seated after us received their food. After waiting another 10 minutes without food we paid for our drinks and left. Upon leaving I spoke to the manager and was told the server "didn't put a time limit on our food". We went to this place in hopes it was good Mexican. We were thoroughly disappointed. The service was horrid our waiter acted like he didn't really care about anything, he forgot our drinks didn't have the best of attitudes. The food wasn't even that hot, the red sauce was water, and to top it all of we all got sick that night. I've been coming here pretty consistently for 2.5 years, when I first moved here it was super good and very consistent in the aspect of service, food, and pricing. However the last couple months sadly it seems like it's been getting pretty expensive no matter what we order, the food hasn't been consistent wether it's been good or not very good at all, and the service hasn't been very good the last couple months we've went either, seems to be all new staff almost and have seen staff kind of just standing around not checking on their tables unless I sit there and stare at them. Mas O' Menos Mas: they have a bar, some helpful staff and descent food quality. Homemade tortillas were exceptional. Menos: Some really dumb hostesses, nice, but dumb and didn't care about doing a good job. I get it, employees are tough to come by with Biden paying so much to stay home, so anyone with a heartbeat will do. The rice, bean and main dish portions were extremely small, to a comical extent..."here's two spoonfuls of rice, half a spoonful of beans. Spread it thin. WaLa, masterpiece." The Shrimp ceviche and tacos were made with mini shrimp...cocktail shrimp, tiny little shrimp. The shrimp of shrimps. Not what one expects from looking at the menu. Two of the tacos had 3 mini shrimp, two had 4 and two had 6. So much for consistency. We had to count as at first we didn't see any. Maybe they ran out of shrimp and this was all they could get or allocate to our order. The taco was garnished well but the shrimp was down right disappointing. Ceviche...see the taco description but add more disappointment. So overall Sabor is pretty much a standard issue Mexican restaurant for St George. So much potential but executed poorly. You would think at some point somebody in charge would travel to a foreign land that has great Mexican food, say in California, take notes and do it right. Until then we may be back for T-shirt Tuesday. read more

Brought our family of five here for dinner. It was delicious. The service was excellent. The chips and salsa were the bomb. The kids meals were well portioned. Considering we heard about this place from a lot of people our hopes were high and Cafe Sabor met all of our expectations! We ordered the street tacos, cheese enchiladas, and added a Chile relleno. We ordered online and it was super easy to do! The only thing that was tricky was that we paid $2 extra to add beans and rice to the street taco order and we didn't get the beans and rice. We got everything else and it all tasted fantastic so there isn't much to complain about! The salsa is quite liquidy but it does have a lot of flavor - it think that is more of a personal preference though. The chili relleno had a great kick which I wasn't expecting and was pleasantly surprised! I'm excited to try them again! read more

I've been told from others who have gone to other Cafe Sabors in Bear Lake and Idaho Falls, that the St George Cafe Sabor hands down has the best, freshest food out of all of them. One time when I was dining in, the waiter dropped a tray of drinks all over my husband and all over the floor. It was really crowded and super busy, so I understood. First off, we waiting 40 mins to be seated, which was normal to wait. Then we get seated and are ignored for 15 mins by the girl with dark hair who works upstairs at the bar. But wait it gets worse! The absolute WORST service by far from ANY restaurant. The dark hair girl who works in bar will IGNORE you unless you're a regular. NOT ask if you need any water or anything after ordering. My friend sat without a drink for 40 minutes and had to GET her attention for water. We continued to wait assuming they're busy and that's why food is taking so long. Well a WHOLE hour goes by and she still has not checked on us (mind you we are sitting RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE BAR) where she walks back and forth THE WHOLE BAR! It gets worse.... I go to speak to the manager about why the service isn't the greatest and why we hadn't received our meals and that 3 tables who came 20 minutes after us got their meals. She goes to check on it and comes back to us and informs us that "our waitress" JUST put our order in 6 minutes ago. SIX MINUTES AFTER US WAITING FOR AN HOUR AGO!!!! I would 10/10 NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE IF THEYRE HUNGRY OR WANT TO BE TREATED GOOD. Some regulars even said that she's one of the worst waitresses here and they don't know why she's still here. I have to rate this place a 3/5 despite the food being really good each time we've been there. We've been here about 5 times now. I started noticing how dirty the place is. The flooring in the front always has stuff all over the floor, the booths we are sat at have food in the cracks that haven't been cleaned up. It's so gross! So when you eat at a place the cleanliness up front makes me fear what's going on in the kitchen. We also waited 45 minutes for our food yesterday and it wasn't busy. I'm not sure we will go back unfortunately I just can't deal with dirty restaurants read more

Meh, it's not what you think. The food looks good in the pictures but lacks flavor. The tortillas "wow" most kids because a machine makes them. Service was less then a average. I love enchiladas, it's my go too. I could see through the enchilada sauce like it was colored water and tasted about the same. Couldn't finish them. I've had them here before and they were good, not great, but good. Really like the place, but management should address quality control.
