I went here on Thursday morning after reading some good reviews on Yelp. In short, it was anti-climatic. It was actually not busy at all given it was weekday morning. We were greeted and seated promptly. Things went kind of downhill from there. We waited about 20 minutes for the server to get our order. Don't get me wrong she was very pleasant and professional. Once we ordered our food (some chicken and waffles and egg benedict) we waited another 20 minutes or so for the food to arrive. We had a baby with us so it was so painful to wait that long. Once food arrived, I was quite surprised to see how small the portion size was given price point. For the chicken and waffle that I ordered, it was just garden-variety frozen chicken fingers on top of stale waffles. We actually liked the egg benedict though. The atmosphere was quite and quite nice also. We probably won't be back next time around. read more

I've been here several times over the years and they have a wonderful breakfast. I yet to be disappointed here. You may wait 30 minutes or so, but it is worth it. Plus, they have a "help yourself" coffee stand outside to ease the waiting pains. I tend to lean towards the benedicts they offer, but I have plenty of the other dishes as well. All 10's! Highly recommended.... It isn't a cheap diner so don't expect to walk out cheap. It is worth the money to me. read more

Absolutely love this place. Got the pulled pork eggs Benedict, was absolutely delicious. Runny egg, and the hash browns were crispy. Only thing keeping this from 5 stars is the wait. If you don't get here before 10am be prepared to wait up until a half hour! read more

The food is excellent, the service is very friendly and I can't wait to go in the summer to take advantage of the bacci ball court outside. The specialty coffees are as delicious as they are 'instagramable'. Quickly becoming a favorite brunch spot. read more

Used to love the food here quality has gone down and management is very rude. Served cold toast and pancakes. When I complained about the temperature I was told that "that was the best they could do". I won't be returning. read more

My family and I had Sunday brunch. It was very busy but the waiting time was not bad, seems to turn quickly. The food was delicious! I had the pulled pork eggs Benedict , it was really good. Loved. Chose this off of Yelp as an alternative to going to Princeton. Was meeting my boss 1/2 way; I live at the Jersey Shore and he is in the Philly suburbs. Did not disappoint us! We received a cheerful welcome and the menu has many delicious choices. (Selfishly, my ONLY suggestion would be to stock some GF Udi's bread in your freezer. That way you could offer GF toast with an omelette. And that is such a nice thing to do for people like me, with celiac disease.) My boss enjoyed two huge breakfast sandwiches and I had an omelette. The kicker....pork roll fries. OMG. They were fantastic. Honestly, you really should copyright the idea! read more

My favorite local brunch spot, much better menu then The Turning Point which is not too far away. The specials menu changes very often which keeps me coming back for more! I go to Cafe 72 multiple times a week. I enjoy both their stand-by menu items as well as their daily specials. I am especially fond of the selection of grilled cheeses. The breakfast options and lunch options are equally strong. Classic breakfasts like Eggs Benedict are expertly prepared. There are also exciting modern takes on classic breakfasts such as the Croissant French Toast (which is AMAZING) or the Fig Waffle with Blueberry Chutney and served with Cannoli Cream. As I said, the lunch options are also very strong. I've tried the burgers, sandwiches, soups, salads, and pretty much every category of food on the menu. I have never been disappointed by any item I've ordered thus far. I especially like the daily lunch specials. Occasionally they have a lamb burger, pork & mango bbq sandwich, or the chicken mango wrap. Recommended for all ages and all palettes. read more

As a Ewing local, Cafe 72 is one of my go-to spots when I'm looking for a quick and delicious meal. They're only open until 2:30 and tend to get pretty busy, but I've never waited more than 10 minutes for a table. They also have counter seating. Everything on the menu (they serve both breakfast and lunch items) sounds delicious, and in my experience I've never been disappointed. The bacon egg and cheese on a croissant is my standard, and the BEST BEC I've found to date. The croissant is light and buttery, it's super cheesy and the bacon is crisp. Their home fries are not my favorite, but who really needs that when you already have a huge, delicious breakfast sandwich?! Would much rather pick up a bacon egg and cheese here than down the road at RJs. Much better and higher quality, for maybe $2-3 more. If I'm in the mood for something a bit healthier, I love the California Salad- lettuce, avocado, tomato, bacon, onion, cucumber, and I add a scoop of tuna salad for $3. Mom loves the traditional club sandwich. Their garlic aioli adds a nice, tasty touch! Also, their sweet breakfast menu looks delicious, with options such as the cannoli french toast. But every time I go I only have eyes for my beloved breakfast sandwich! Great, fast service and the waiters and waitresses are super friendly and attentive. Love this place. read more

Came for the first time today. Seemed like a popular spot but the food was solidly average. Definitely don't get their French toast; it's dry and dense, not even the syrup could help it. The worst part were all the flies flying around. They must have some sort of infestation, kind of felt gross to sit there and see all these flies chilling on the walls and tables. Why waste time trying new places to get a great breakfast. Menu is frequently changing keeping it fresh with new choices. Staff is always professional and friendly even in very busy times which is pretty much the norm. Jody and Jamie are so friendly and welcoming every single time. That's a valuable attribute. Cafe Seventy Two has always been a great place for breakfast and lunch food wise, but their recent decor change has made the cafe a top notch brunch stop. The twinkling lights and trees really add to the ambience and make you want to stay there all day. They also improved how their drinks were served and my iced coffee (excellent, by the way) came in a huge glass with all of the extras on the side. I would recommend anything on the menu but the last time i visited I had the buffalo chicken grilled cheese and it was phenomenal. It was served on Texas toast and I highly recommend it. Great place for brunch with a fresh ambiance! Excellent service and menu! We went at a busy time, around 11 am on a Saturday, but still got great service and fresh food! At some places, bringing a stroller is a nightmare during their busy time, but this cafe was able to accommodate us with no problem. They even have water and coffee outside so waiting for a table is not bad at all. The fries are perfect: crunchy and thin. The pumpkin brûlée iced coffee is a must try! By far the best coffee drink I have had! Not too sweet, not too bitter and it's topped off with cinnamon donuts!!! What's not to like about that ?!?! read more

I love this place and wish I could go there every week. It's one if the only places where they have creative breakfast - but just the usual eggs, meat, toast, and home fries. They have interesting takes on pancakes, French toast and Benedicts as well as plenty of specials and real ground flavored coffee, not the syrup stuff. read more
