Polite and cheerful staff. Clean cafe with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Located downstairs of the Orinda library. Nice selection of drinks, sandwiches and salads. Look forward to returning again .

Cafe Teatro is a nice cafe to come in, order a drink, and relax. The bottom of Orinda Library is a nice place to relax. There is no bad review about Cafe Teatro. I can not complain about Cafe Teatro. I had a drink and a dessert. The reviews that people have mention are true. No bad experience the past time I had Cafe Teatro. Yes you can use the wifi from the library

breakfast sandwich w/ bacon & half the cheddar cheese

Cute little cafe that I came across while browsing Yelp spots in Orinda. I met a friend here around 10 AM on a Saturday morning and there were a good amount of folks sitting at the tables outside and eating. We quickly placed our order and it was ready in about 10-15 minutes. I ordered the breakfast sandwich with bacon & half the cheddar cheese ($5.95) and it was delicious! The egg was nice and fluffy and the bacon provided the perfect amount of saltiness and texture. If you're looking for a brunch/lunch spot, I'd recommend giving this place a try. My friend ordered the tuna melt and also enjoyed it. Prices are reasonable, 3 hour parking is pretty easy to find, and if you come on a Saturday they have a nice little farmer's market within walking distance.

Little breakfast burrito

Little gem in Lamorinda serving up bomb little breakfast burritos for $8. The owner stayed open for me beyond closing and this snack was on point. Perfect place to grab a bite. Please note they close at 2pm Saturdays. Sat outside and enjoyed the civic center part of Orinda. Even in the chilly light rain it was lovely.

Cold brew with vanilla foam. Too late to snap the cookie I already ate it.

Yum! They have great cold brew! I also had a cookie and it was also yummy! Nice folks in there too. I'm passing thru but will be back!!!

I was just treated horribly at this restaurant this morning. I had a dermatology appointment nearby…read moreso I stopped here for some breakfast. The older Asian woman with the puffy surgery face took my order. Every time I ordered something that cost extra she said "thats's extra" after the third time she said "that's extra" I politely stopped her and smiled and I said "I know. You don't have to keep saying that." She paused and didn't say it again. She took my order. I asked for green tea. Then i realized I wanted it to go instead so I asked for a Styrofoam to go cup. The older woman with the dirty apron who cleans tables said okay. As she brought me the cup she dropped the lid on the floor in front of me. Picked it up and handed to me with a smile on her face. I know, I should of left but..... I ordered a breakfast scramble with breakfast sausage, 1 egg and 2 egg whites with avocado and a side of sour cream. I also ordered fresh squeezed orange juice and a side of fruit. And 1/2 Belgian waffle. What I received instead of a breakfast was horribly scrambled eggs with unmelted cheese old avocado and no breakfast sausage. When I told Ms. puff about the mistake she realized she made the mistake when taking my order. The hash browns looked good so I opted for a side of breakfast sausage instead. I tried to eat the food I order, but there was absolutely no flavor. None. I don't even use pepper. I tried it today tho lol. Nothing helped them eggs. And to make matters worse the breakfast sausage that was brought to me was dangerously undercooked. I was so mad I was seething with anger. Only thing removed from the bill was the breakfast sausage even though I spilled my orange juice by accident.

They also have an outdoor area, but it was raining so no outdoors. I order the crab Benedict with avocado. The bread had crispy edges which I love! The hollandaise sauce had a tangy delicious taste. My hash browns were made to perfection with crispy hash on top! The portion was so big - I was only able to eat half of the plate. The pancakes were as big as the plate! (Edges were my favorite!)

We decided to visit Breakfast Club at Midtown Lafayette after hearing so many glowing reviews. I…read moreknow they have several locations throughout the Bay Area, but since we were in Lafayette, we figured we'd finally give this one a try. We arrived around 11:30 a.m on Monday. There was only one party ahead of us waiting to be seated, and it didn't even appear that they had been acknowledged. About two or three minutes later, a gentleman came over, asked how many were in their party, and seated them. We then waited another five minutes before the bartender finally looked over and asked, "Have you been helped?" We replied, "No." He asked how many were in our party, whether we preferred inside or outside seating, and then seated us inside. After sitting for about 10 minutes with no acknowledgment from the server, the bartender returned and took our order. I had two very simple modifications to my meal. I repeated them a couple of times just to make sure they were noted, as they were nothing complicated. I simply didn't want two ingredients that normally came as garnishes. The bartender read my order back, confirmed the modifications, and walked away. About 35 minutes later, our food finally arrived, but we still hadn't received our beverages. I politely asked another server, who had yet to acknowledge us once during our visit, if we could please get our cappuccino. He brought over a regular coffee instead. I politely explained that we had actually ordered a cappuccino. He seemed irritated but said, "Fine, I'll go get it for you." Unfortunately, my food wasn't prepared correctly despite the bartender repeating the order back to me. Even more disappointing, my entire meal was ice cold. The scramble was cold, the toast was cold, and honestly, nothing on the plate was warm. What made the experience even more frustrating was that there wasn't a single opportunity to mention any of this. The bartender never came back. The server never checked on us. Even the person who delivered our food never returned to ask how everything was. We were essentially forgotten after our meals were dropped off. I genuinely hate writing negative reviews because I work in customer service myself and understand firsthand how overwhelming the service industry can be. I completely understand getting busy. What I don't understand is completely ignoring your guests. Even when you're overwhelmed, acknowledging customers and checking in, even briefly, makes a huge difference. Looking back, I probably should have taken the condition of the restaurant as a warning sign. When we walked in, there were numerous tables inside that still had dirty plates, cups, and leftover food from previous guests. The outdoor patio looked the same. What surprised me most was that many of those same tables were still covered in dirty dishes when we left. I wasn't expecting perfection, but I was expecting much more than what we experienced. We spent over $50, received cold food, an incorrect order, waited an unusually long time for drinks, and never had a single opportunity to let anyone know because no one ever checked on us. It was honestly a very disappointing experience, especially after hearing such positive things about this restaurant.

We opted to not sit outside, rather inside right by the exterior seating to still get the vibes but also some AC. I love places like Lafayette where all the businesses support each other and help each other grow. Their brews on tap are mostly all local, and we grabbed some Pilsners sourced from Lafayette's new brewery, Western Flyer. So fresh and crisp. Can't wait to also check that spot out. Food-wise, we came in mid-afternoon and grabbed a Kale Pancetta salad (they pre-split the salad for us on two plates which was so nice), and for the mains, we both grabbed the Tuna Melt with fries. The salad was delicious. I'm def a tuna melt girly, and I loved the addition of the ciabatta (?) as the bread option, so fresh as well. This tuna melt comes with grapes fyi, and a few other elements mixed in. I absolutely loved it, just sharing though as I know how some tuna stans like their tuna :) This spot is clean, spacious, and perfectly situated in walking distance downtown. Would love to come back for brunch with a group of friends, or even again during the upcoming Lafayette Art & Wine Fest. Food is good, service is quick and friendly, and vibes are right. Metered parking located across the street.
