I needed to update the review because I recalled there were numerous flinging insects that greatly detracted from our experience. I believe they were gnats or flies. It was uncomfortable having to repeatedly swat at those pesky intruders

I loved Cafe Wild! From service to ambiance to quality and quantity of food, everything was amazing! The employees are extremely friendly and accommodating for allergies and ingredient preferences! I had the vegan hash but was able to remove the mushrooms and quinoa and replace with another vegetable! Food came out fairly quickly, and wow!! So goooooddd! Would come here again just for the potatoes! Perfectly crispy and seasoned! Absolutely amazing experience! It's a quiet and relaxed vibe, which makes it easy to socialize and have a good time! Plenty of seating inside and some seating outdoors! There is metered parking outside but no parking lot designated for cafe wild! Would highly recommend!

We had a good little breakfast here - got the burrito, hash & breakfast tacos. Everything was made fresh and the eggs were cooked perfectly. We got some Mimosas and they were generous with their OJ/champagne ratios! We sat on the street and that was a nice option!

Great service and friendly people. The coffee is so so, but the food is awesome and cooked with care. I know it can get crazy busy here, so thankful I got to try it. We came at 10:45am, and all the outside seating was taken. But, got to enjoy the food and good conversation with my boys. Enjoy!

Cute cafe by the beach- order at kiosk and you seat yourself with a table #. Banana pancakes and french toast were not too sweet, which is usually my gripe with sweet breakfast items! Breakfast sandwich looks good but I didnt personally try it. Prices are average for the area.

There was absolutely no reason not to do a full 5 stars for this experience! It was simple, last day of my LA trip with my daughter. Returning to MN to suffer the wrath that is winter...I wanted to eat somewhere by the beach, go for a walk, sit outside. This isn't hard in this neighborhood but I am also a foodie and trying to eat healthier in general but love that about SoCal. My daughter and I walk past, looked at the menu and the seating options and it was an easy choice! Sat down outside on the sidewalk with a view of the ocean on a wonderful December morning! I ordered the breakfast burrito with some kind of side and a coffee...my daughter...I think she had some eggs Benedict thing, an almond danish and some fancy drink! Food came out quick and it was delicious. Great ingredients , great service and there is no better view. All fantastic. Love small places that care so much about the food and the ingredients ! I would definitely come back, so many choices in this area but so worth the visit! KT

Looking for some vegan breakfast, and found this adorable cafe the Vegan Hash with an Almond Milk Latte fit the bill! I will definitely return, the staff is helpful and accommodating, the location is charming! Just blocks from the beach! Wonderful way to start the day!

Your typical dime a dozen brunch spot in an affluent area that is quite overpriced for what you get. Ambiance is fine with indoor and outdoor seating. Service was friendly although it took over half an hour to get our food during a time of the morning that was not very busy. Food was pretty good, but nothing spectacular especially looking at the price for what we got. Was nice to go there once, but I would not go out of my way to eat here again.

This is such a cute brunch cafe right by Manhattan Beach with the friendliest staff! The guy taking our orders was actually so nice and helpful, definitely embodying that kind beachy vibe. We sat outside which was cute with the blue exterior of the cafe and was great for enjoying the nice weather. For food we split the Smoked Salmon Toast and Good Vibes Burrito with chicken sausage. The toast was yummy with the everything bagel seasoning, and the burrito was hearty and delicious. The salsa and hot sauce was definitely helpful for the burrito. We got the burrito with the breakfast potatoes, which were tasty and went well with everything. I also got a cappuccino, which was frothy and good.

popped in to work on a rainy day! many gluten free options & the staff was so personable & kind. plenty of seating & wifi available! coffee was yummy!

Cutest cafe we came across on our early morning. The sun was shining and just a light breeze so it was perfect to sit outside. The pancakes were delicious especially that cinnamon butter it comes with. The smoked salmon toast was good and that poached egg was perfect. My mom had the point break breakfast sandwich with no egg and she loved it. The service was great as well. They speak Spanish which is a plus. As for parking if you are out and about early then parking won't be an issue (street parking). You order and pay on the spot. They bring your food to wherever you sit. The coffee was amazing, they have a station on the side where you sweeten it to your liking. Will be back!

Breakfast is amazingly great here I always get the steak and eggs or the chilaquiles. Definitely recommend both plates.

Food is amazing with an amazing view of Manhattan beach. Staff is always friendly and greets you with a smile. The service is great. 10/10 I definitely recommend eating here & I will definitely be back!!!

The wrong burrito I didn't order.

The food is solid. It's as tasty and well put together as I remember it to be. We started with the bacon cheddar buttermilk biscuits. I think these have been here since day one. They're FULL of lovely smoky bacon pieces and are at least 4" round! It's a pretty hearty appetizer. We quickly moved on to dinner, here's what the table ordered: Lobster & Sweet Corn Risotto - the risotto was cooked perfectly. Be sure to mix that poblano pepper butter in the middle up, it adds a great smoky chili flavor to each bite. My oinly complaint about this dish is that they used claw meat. I'm just not a fan of lobster claw, it's too gelatinously rubbery for me. Skirt Steak - Oooo, this was medium rare to perfection. The smoked paprika chimichurri gave a burst of flavor and a mild heat at the back of my throat. Chilean Sea Bass - Chilean sea bass always cuts like buttah! 2 people ordered this at our table and I'm pretty sure they loved it, that side of the table was pretty silent for 15 - 20 mins. Pork Porterhouse - This dish had the most flavor. The spaetzle was cooked and browned on the griddle, it had a fantastic crispy crust. It was a little on the salty side BUT I think 's because it needed more carbs to tame the salt. For me, it would have been PERFECT with a little rice or mashed potatoes or creamed sunchokes. Parking still sucks in MB but right behind the restaurant is a parking garage that's free after 6 pm.

Tin Roof has an excellent cocktail program as does their Simmzy's locations. We started out with Brussel Sprouts. Definitely a hit with the whole table. Tin Roof definitely has the best around, flavorful with a nice crunch, never soggy! We all ordered a variery of starters for our first course. Several had Ceasar Salads. Several had the Watermelon and Feta Salad. One had the Bloddy Mary Deviled Eggs, and another had the Fig; Pistashio, and Cottage Cheese Toast. Everyone loved what they ordered. We were full before our next courses arrived! Our server was Malcolm. He was very attentive even though it was an extremely busy afternoon since it was Father's Day. He was very helpful explaining some of the options only offered on today's menu. They offered a Bistro Burger (five out of six of us ordered!) and I wanted to know how different this burger was from their Simmzy's Burger (my personal favorite). He was spot on, explained it was smokey in flavor and quite different with the pretzel bun. It was so.good, served with fries (best shoestring fries!), onion rings, and piled so high you had to use a fork and knife to eat it! We left beyond full! Definitely we will be back soon!

When we arrived at our table, they had a card signed by staff congratulating us, and it was a night to remember. Great food, great service, and the warm hand towels after my dad demolished the baby back ribs were the cherry on top! Our group also ordered the chilean sea bass, salmon, and bistro plate. 10/10. One of our final meals as a family of two was Valentine's Day 2026. It was our first time being seated indoors, and the ambiance was dim and romantic. The meatloaf special was fantastic! Meatballs with beef, pork, ricotta, potato purée, tomato sauce, Grana Padano, and arugula--WOW. Cheesy, saucy perfection. Beef Tartare with tonnato, shallot, marjoram, crispy potato, and toast. Delicious and a generous portion. I ordered Coop's Pork Shank with Lambrusco-mustard glaze, aromatic jus, and potato purée. Tender, flavorful, and that broth was incredible. It paired perfectly with the broccolini... ...which we didn't order. We spotted the table next to us enjoying it with burrata and immediately added it to our "next time" list. The roasted cauliflower was hands down the best part of the meal. It was seasoned so well and honestly addictive. I could not get enough of it. The chicken pot pie came out piping hot and was really good, super comforting and flavorful. My only small wish is that it had pastry on the bottom too, since it would have soaked up all the juices. The burger was fine but nothing special. I think it could have used some lettuce and tomato to help tie everything together. The onion rings were solid. Service was good and it was not too crowded for lunch, which made it a relaxed and enjoyable place to sit and eat.

Crazy name, wonderful dining experience. You'll want to make a rezzy because, justifiably so, FwD…read moregets busy. Though there are a few outdoor tables, we opted for Inside. Definitely suited our sensibilities to be close to the heart of this treasure, plus it can get cold out there! When our friendly and helpful server learned that we'd never been to FwD before, we were both treated a tasty amuse, a Peruvian scallop, one of their specialties. Served chilled, absolute heaven. Simple, fresh, delicious, and very pretty atop its shell. We ordered an appetizer, a different scallop dish, Pan Seared Diver Scallops. (Parsnip-potato puree, brown butter ponzu, capers). So good. Succulent, perfectly cooked and devilishly satisfying with its rich, savory flavor. We enjoyed the one dish that have been on their menu since the beginning, Koshihikari Rice. (short-grain Japanese rice, overnight chicken dashi, shrimp, uni, blue crab, cage-free egg yolk.) Wow. So much happening here, and yet it's a complete package. All the ingredients meld together sumptuously. It akin to Paella, or perhaps to a stuffed Risotto, although the Koshihikari Rice was very much its own dish. The server swerved and mixed the egg yolk on our plate, and we loved it. Our strategy to try a number of dishes and yet still have room for dessert worked. Many great choices, and I doubt we'd be disappointed with anything. However, we had heard from the table next to use that the key-lime pie was must. Happily, they were right. This Key Lime Pie is just sweet and just tart enough. Though I am not Key Lime Pie expert, this one struck me as imaginative with its meringue colony crowding the pie's surface for additional dessert debauchery. There nothing overwhelmingly citrusy about it, and it was light enough to help you feel satisfied and just right. The coffee was good, too. This is a low-key yet lovely dining experience in Manhattan Beach.

The atmosphere was great, the service was excellent, and our server was very friendly and attentive. The oysters were incredibly fresh, the seafood soup was absolutely delicious, and the white fish with Japanese mushrooms was amazing. We finished our lunch with the key lime pie, and it was the perfect dessert. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Highly recommend this place--we'll definitely be back!
