Cute place, friendly staff and solid food. This place will do very well here! We don't live far from here, but we drove this time and parking was not bad. We got lucky and found parking out front. Score!! I got their avocado toast with scramble eggs. I could have done without the arugula on the bottom of the eggs though (as seen in photo) . I typically don't order or like avocado toast but these were very good! I wanted something that wasn't going to be too filling so these were perfect! The Mr got their breakfast burrito, and the size was manageable! Usually anything burrito is just way too big with way too much stuff! We'll be back! And it wasn't crazy busy - it could be that it's Thanksgiving weekend so everyone was still recovering at home so we'll come back in the next couple of weeks or I could swing by during the week with a girlfriend to update my review about the other dishes after I have tried it. Our server was friendly and attentive. By the way they have bottomless mimosa for $15 (one hour max) I didn't get mimosas this time but I think it's a great deal since most places charge $12 for a single glass of mimosa. When traveling, I like to go to a place that has "fresh meat and veggies". This isn't a food category on Yelp, so it's not always easy. Sometimes the broad, catch-all category of "American New" will yield what I'm looking for. Sometimes it won't. Café Wild was EXACTLY what I was looking for. Lots of fresh stuff on the menu. Lots of veggies. Extensive brunch options. Additionally, it has a great location. It's close to the beach and close to the airport. A great place to fill your belly so you don't have to do so in crowded LAX. I got an Asada Salad, because: Southern California. It was fresh, it was perfectly cooked (you know the meat is good when they ask you how you want your steak cooked...for a SALAD), it was delicious. It was also beautiful. Bright colors. I photographed it like I was working with hired talent. I'd love to go back for brunch as it seems like that's their specialty. Next time. Only bummer is that you can't drink alcohol while also sitting outside. Blame politicians. read more

5 stars for service 2.5 stars for food Breakfast burrito is sooooo wet, just leaking fluid into the plate the whole time I ate it. Bacon inside was really chewy and not crispy. Breakfast potatoes were under seasoned and just plain boring. Ice coffee was good, but I would definitely not eat here again. read more

We entered on a Tuesday morning, in the middle of the holiday week so you would expect it to be filled with customers. Although there was a lot of people dining in, we still got the chance to eat inside and our food was served quickly I got the go-green burrito, delicious and filling. Maybe more mozzarella and the salsa wasn't all that Tater tots, really good and you can opt out seasoning. Perfect crunch, crispy, buttery, and the soft potato inside was delicious Avocado toast 10/10, avocado sliced perfectly, right amount of portion Toast was crunchy and soft in the center, don't substitute sauce because it was surprisingly delicious. I came here because of the good reviews. when I arrived a member of staff said that there has been a change in ownership and menu items had changed, so I couldn't get the full English breakfast I went there specifically to have. After choosing breakfast at the checkout (no, they don't come and take your order) we sat down and our drinks came to us in take-out cups. I had ordered for 3 of us - 1 breakfast of French toast, and two of eggs, potatoes and toast. $77.76 including the cheapest tip of $10. They don't take cash. The bread wasn't toasted but grilled in what tasted like rancid fat, rendering it inedible. I should have realized something was wrong when the other cafes nearby all had people waiting for tables but this place was almost empty. The staff are very nice, hard-working folks, but the owner is penny-pinching and charging exorbitant money from people they assume are rich. I won't come here again. read more

Brunch review. Love this place! Parking is tough, if you're going on the weekend lyft in - street parking avail or you can park at the beach lot. Service - so friendly - loved it! Informative servers, refills on water without asking, clearing plates/drinks quickly. Ambiance - modern luxe vibe and the signs/decor are humorous. So quiche. Mixed high tables and low Menu- Vegetarian options, so many options! Food- wow those potatoes are amazzzzzzinnngggg and I'm a potato snob. Burrito was good as well Coffee - cappuccino- served in double glass cup. Great for my hands and visually. Loved it- I'll be back to try more options and see if I didn't dream up those potatoes. read more

Love this area so much, wish I live close by! Anyways came here on a Sunday for brunch and was lucky enough to find parking (woohoo!!) Trust me, it can be a nightmare at times. The restaurant has the simple beachy decors and I would've loved to sit outdoors but it was a little chilly for my little one. They offer a good variety of food with very witty names. We ordered Quinoa brown rice bowl with grilled salmon add-on, Brioche French Toast and West Coast Omelette. Everything was tasty and service was superb as expected for the area. read more

-parking is street only -decor of place is beachy, fun vibe -service was deathly slow for a table of 2 people and a total of maybe 5 other people in the entire place -food took about 15 mins to come out ( being VERY generous with the time frame) - 2 fish tacos and a bowl of rice for $12. -bowl of sweet potato fries for $7 - fish tacos came double wrapped ( corn tortillas) they could have just used one, tacos were delicious. Cojita cheese, mango, slaw etc. Great mix of flavor. For 12 dollars? I mean.. a bit over priced. The rice was dry, basically added to take the sting off of 12 dollars for 2 tacos. Sweet potato fries for 7 bucks, meh. I needed double the amount to make it worth the price. Recap: Overall, would I be back? No. Food a tad bit overpriced?Yes Good tacos? Yes Nice clean place? On a hot summer day the wait was excruciating. We were seated quickly but didn't eat for a long while. Luckily the food was quite scrumptious. The country scramble tasted delicious but would have been better with some country potatoes. I got some sourdough toast but it wasn't quite toasty. My lady went with the vegan hash and she was extremely happy. Packed with flavor her favorite part was the avocado basil purée. Service was slow but pleasant, like all good things it takes time. I'll drop by during the week sometime and try more. An added bonus is the people watching. A group of young girls were discussing their STDs and various websites that you can upload pictures of them to for classification. read more

First and last time coming to this place. Sad since we're local residents. I am not a person to complain on Yelp often about my experiences but I'll gladly take the time for this one considering my sub-par experience and a sour Saturday morning. First, parking is a disaster. It took me 25 minutes to find somewhere to park. I was solo with my toddler so walking 5 or so blocks and being late for a 10am brunch wasn't a good start... but other than offering a valet service, not much the restaurant can do there. I ordered the watermelon salad. The menu says watermelon arugula with spinach. My salad came out with only spinach which I'm not a huge fan of.. I asked the server and he basically argued with me that "No that's what you ordered". So I had to look up the menu and show him "Look it says arugula - where's the arugula on this plate?". After an unnecessary back and forth, I asked him to just bring me some arugula and call it a day.. I shouldn't have to argue with the staff of what's on their menu that I purchased. Secondly, my son only ate a few bites of his pancakes and eggs breakfast and we intended to take the rest with us to go if the server ever came by to check in on us. I also still had most breakfast potatoes waiting for a to go box. We saw a friend sit down next to us and while my son was still sitting at the table and me an arms length away, the owner of the cafe comes and picks up all of our food without asking us anything and throws it away. I went in and asked the same server what happened and he once again argued with me saying "Look, we're really busy here and we're turning a lot of tables". We're really busy so you're going to have to wait for the food again. Well, what do you want me to do? I paid $50 for breakfast and I'm pretty sure that I'm owed what I paid for since you we're so busy focusing on turning tables that you didn't have the time to actually check on your customers. Well, you won't be turning any table from me again. Talking about prioritizing quantity over quality. I can't believe that I was made to feel bad about this experience - not offered an apology or any sense of empathy. While I won't allow it to ruin my day, it wasn't a fun start to the morning. I'll be taking my business somewhere else. read more

This is a really cute place with a very open, airy and beachy atmosphere. I got the curry chicken salad wrap and my husband had the tiramisu french toast. The person who took our order said if you love coffee then you'd love their tiramisu french toast...and she was right. He loved the french toast, however couldn't eat it all because of how sweet it was. The chicken wrap was good, but a bit dry. The tots were super tasty. Overall, I'd recommend this place! read more

I usually love love this place (and will still probably come), but today I got my usual (probably have ordered at least 8-10 times) the gluten free blueberry pancakes. Since they now have disposable plates and such bc of COVID, this is the first time I got a portable maple syrup vs in their little metal condiment container..finding that instead of real maple syrup, they have a cheap high GI replacement. This place has a great vibe so that price has always been worth it, but $16+ for two pancakes and it see their "maple" syrup is corn syrup is really disappointing and tbh gross. Fairly important element when it comes to pancakes so, to skimp on this detail when you're more than covering that potential $0.50 is pretty confusing. read more

Great breakfast spot with the perfect upscale beach vibe that isn't overly packed or busy. I had the BEACH CRUISER BURRITO (Eggs, Bacon, Chicken Sausage and Mozzarella Cheese, all wrapped up in a warm flour tortilla. Choice of Salsa Roja or Salsa Verde. Served with Potatoes O'Brien) but switched out the flour tortilla for spinach. It still felt somewhat healthy despite being a breakfast burrito. Unlike other burritos, it wasn't greasy or too cheesy, but just right. The potatoes were to die for. I had one when they brought my plate out and proceeded to demolish pretty much all of them. We also shared an order of the pancakes for the table, which I highly recommend doing as it made for the prefect little dessert, but it would have been a shame to get just the pancakes and not try one of their other wonderful breakfast options. Just loved the overall vibe of the place! read more

I met a friend here after a long walk with our dogs. The restaurant is dog friendly on the outside and will bring water for your dog. Very cool. The staff was friendly and the location is excellent; just 1/2 mile from Bruce's Beach. Why the 2 stars? 1. For 2 pancakes, 2 eggs, 2 pieces of bacon, coffee and croissant for later, (plus tip which you pay before any service is rendered) cost close to $30. $30 for breakfast is insane. 2. The bacon was actually SPOILED. I took 1 bite, then 2 to make sure. Yap. spoiled. But my friend's dog liked it, so she had the expensive bacon. 3. They forgot to bring my croissant. I remembered at the last minute and had to go to the counter and ask for it. No apologies for them forgetting. So although it wasn't a bad time, I'll be checking out other cafe's on that strip next time. PS The Croissant was delicious. read more

Came her for brunch on a Sunday with my husband and doggie. It wast too busy inside but the tables outside were occupied. Considering they did not have very many tables outside we were able to get seated within 5/10 minutes. Upon being seated we were asked for our drink order, I tried to order a bloody Mary they unfortunately told me they don't serve alcoholic beverages outside, which was sad but I ended up ordering coffee instead. After placing our order, it took about 40 minutes for our food to finally come out, which was longer than expected. It would have been nice if the server gave us more of a heads up half way through our wait time. I ordered the Huevo Ranchos, which was plated beautifully and looked great, but I think in my head I was expecting more of a green chili type sauce instead of the salsa. Probably should have read the description more carefully. Overall the dish was good, my only concern was that none of my items on my plate were really that hot, my potatoes were barely warm and same for the "huevos rancheros" part of my dish. I also ordered a buttermilk pancake which I thought was super delicious, but again was probably the only hot item we were given. Aside from the long wait time and the lukewarm food the overall presentation and taste was great. read more

Had the Playa Scramble and added steak. Unfortunately I wasn't clear enough and they brought a steak in the side instead of it scrambled in the scramble. All in all the scramble was fantastic, great flavor and the asparagus gave it a bit of a sweet taste to it. The plate was shared with my wife and was "well done"....I know I know.....Anywho....the steak was still outstanding... Also had the bottomless mimosa...which was great. Just think...9 bucks for 1 or 18 for 1 hour bottomless...Lol The service was great by Matt....he warned us that the food was coming out a bit late and provided great service. Ate here for brunch & it was delicious. My friend is vegetarian & so we decided to order two vegetarian plates. One was the cinnamon French toast & another one was their vegetarian hash. Wow, the cinnamon French toast had strawberries & blueberries topped with chocolate drizzle. This was incredible! It wasn't too sweet. It had a balance of cinnamon taste. I highly recommend this! For the vegetarian hash it has a mixture of sweet potato, beans, brussel sprouts, & avocado. We added two fried eggs on it. This was very tasty! I would order this again & normally I love having bacon for brunch && I didn't missed it. The atmosphere was very laid back. This is close to multiple shops in the area too & to the beach entrance. We came here for brunch recently and found that, while the location is SUPER close to the beach, you don't actually get a view of it from anywhere at the restaurant, including outside, which faces the street... and also prohibits you from drinking. So, word to the wise, if you're going for the bottomless mimosas, sit inside! The portion sizes here are okay. Pretty reasonable overall, and definitely not as enormous as some other breakfast places, but decent. I got a wrap and it was not the size of usual breakfast burritos, at any rate. The eggs Benedict and other dishes my friends ordered looked pretty standard. All in all, the food was... okay. Pretty expensive for what we got, actually. I had a cup of coffee, and between two breakfast dishes and an Arnold Palmer, we were looking at $40+. All things considered, not quite worth the price. The person manning the front was very kind to hold a table out front for us as we waited for our friends, and our server was absolutely lovely, so in terms of the service here, I was very pleased. They're also dog friendly so our friends were able to bring their furry pals along for brunch. Just... maybe don't go if you're looking for a cheap breakfast, or a view of the beach while you eat. read more

Cute little cafe close to the beach. It seems like a nice place to grab brunch but also offers non-brunch options. I got the world traveler burrito and it was decent. Nothing to write home about but was definitely better than anything I could make in my own kitchen. I'd eat it again. I wish I didn't have to ask 3 times to get my water refilled. In the defense of the waiter, he said he was pretty busy. They have TVs so if you want to watch a game, it's not a bad spot. read more

Took a bike ride to el Porto and found this listless brunch spot! Very beach vibe, and friendly staff! We were quickly greeted and our orders were taken at the counter. Indoor and outdoor seating available! We ordered the breakfast burrito, vegan hash and a cafe latte. I originally asked for oat milk but I think my mask restricted my volume and I was served a latte with whole milk... no biggie. The coffee was super strong so I couldn't finish it, but hey what a way to get energy in the morning! I loved the vegan hash, but my favorite was the crispy onion topping! The sweet potatoe complimented the kale super well and the quinoa was cooked to perfection. My boyfriend ordered the massive burrito and it came with a whopping breakfast potatoe side! Location! Location! Location! This place is in a really great location. On a main street which takes you through Manhattan Beach with shops, restaurants & sites! In fact, you can walk straight down the hill from the cafe about 2 blocks & end up right on the sand at the ocean :) Parking isn't too bad either with a reasonable metered public lot around the corner. Food selection was pretty good and I really appreciated that the menu wasn't overpriced (usually the case when you eat at the beach) Average of $10-12 per plate for brunch. The scramble with goat cheese, chicken with waffle, veggie omelette & egg sandwich were all winners at our table! The chocolate cake slice they brought out in honor of my birthday was so rich!!! Turns out it was flourless! There was actual chunks of bacon on top of the cake & hidden under the whipped cream - Im vegetarian LMBO, but since it was a nice gesture & my bday I figured it wouldn't kill me and I indulged. Such a cute place to eat at for Sunday Brunch it is a blue building looks like a beach house its just a couple blocks of walking to the beach. The best time to go is after 12pm. They still serve brunch alcoholic drinks but only in the inside part of the restaurant. If you sit outside they do not serve alcohol. I ordered the medium rare steak brown rice bowl (it had sriracha, tomatoes, spinach, brown rice topped with a medium rare steak) It was a very hearty and delicious bowl but i wish the steak had a little more flavor. Next was the breakfast burrito which had (eggs, bacon, ham, jack cheese in a flour tortilla) on the side you get their crispy breakfast potatoes which were *BOMB* honestly this was my favorite part of the dish. The potatoes were so crispy not mushy like most breakfast potatoes they also had some sort of seasoning which gave it a little spice. For drinks cold brews and iced water. We did sit outside but one thing is I wish they had some type of awning to cover people on the outside from the hot sun during summer days. The Muscles were good and the green beans were good. I also like the shrimp on toast, as strange as that sounded. I enjoyed the strawberry dessert as well. Thankfully, Justin, our waiter, took great care of us and made up for any disappointment we were experiencing. It seemed to me that this restaurant is now just an afterthought for the busy owners as they manage several venues. It is no longer the standout leader in town it once was.

But no worries, we love leftovers! Food is always so creative and wonderful.at Tin Roof. Although we no longer live in Manhattan, still one if our favorite restaurants. Food and service are stellar! We started with cocktails, and of course prepared by our favorite bartender / cocktail specialist extraordinaire, Clark. Off Your Head (Bloody Mary) and Ophella's White Sangria. Both were very tasty! One of our final meals as a family of two was Valentine's Day 2026. It was our first time being seated indoors, and the ambiance was dim and romantic. The meatloaf special was fantastic! Fast forward to June 2026, and we brought our 3-month-old son to his first NIck's meal (unfortunately, he could not partake) and to celebrate my husband's first Father's Day. On this reservation, I put in a request for outdoor seating that gave us enough room to park our stroller and car seat, and they were able to accommodate that. They were also understanding when me and my husband were running a few minutes past our reservation time due to fhe baby, and we appreciated the flexibility. Noise level was moderate, but definitely quieter outside. If you get nothing else from this review, just remember this: ORDER THE WARM BUTTER CAKE. YOU WILL NEVER REGRET IT.
