    Chilaquiles Burrito
    William M.

I'm a couple weeks late with my review of this great restaurant in Old Town Orange. We went for a late morning breakfast on a Saturday and were very happy with the interesting menu, food, quality, and the amazing service. We had both chilaquiles and a chilaquiles burrito...both were delicious! It's a comfortable place, and our server and the other staff were so helpful and welcoming.

Came across this cafe while walking around the area, was a lovely and pleasant surprise! My friend had the caramel latte while I tried one of the Valentine's Day drinks, the strawberries n crème latte. He said his was pretty good. Mine was perfectly sweet, with a rich and creamy foam at the top. The strawberry flavor really carried through, and not in an artificial way either! Plus it was aesthetically pleasing! The staff were so attentive. Immediately upon entering, the employee at the register greeted us and took our order. One of the waitresses and I made eye contact, and we both complimented each other's hair at the same time haha, so cute! Another waitress checked on us while we were waiting for our to-go drinks. Very friendly vibes and happy energy!! The interior is gorgeous, with a staircase and floral arrangements along the "balcony". There's beautiful art on the walls! And they had seasonal decor for Valentine's Day

7-Grain toast along with a hearty bowl of strawberries and cranberries...steamed milk. Healthy breakfast!

Just had the oatmeal with strawberries, cranberries and brown sugar with steamed milk...comes with 7 grain toast. Unbelievable! This place has so many great items on menu. I was not too hungry and the oatmeal sounded healthy. But this restaurant has many great choices on menu. To serve oatmeal and make it even greater is a reveal that all of their menu items are well made...more than satisfying. The server Maraianna has a warm and personable presence. I highly recommend this place. Very, very good.

Very cute brunch spot! The chilaquiles were really good, definitely recommend them! The iced coffees were okay. Friendly service. Definitely going back to get those huge mimosas one of these days. But definitely a good place to get brunch!

Amazing and quick service , cute decor and location. I tried the mazapan latte and it's one of the best ones I've tried so far. Food menu is on the smaller side but the food quality is delicious I felt like I was eating at my grandmas house. Food is authentic , indefinitely recommend if you're in the area

Food here was delicious! They have a variety of different options for breakfast and lunch which is always pleasant to try new foods! The staff was very efficient and nice and recommended the perfect choice food! It's a quaint place with an upstairs and has a variety of baked goods. A must visit if your ever in Orange, CA

Average place with breakfast and lunch options. Moderate to high prices for the value and portion size. We had the club sandwich (7/10) with fresh avocado and real turkey. Good service. Located on Glassell near Orange Circle. Limited parking.

It's a bit on the pricey side but the food is great and so is the customer service. They have an upstairs loft which is a nice touch and fun place to eat.

    Chicken Enchiladas in Verde Sauce
    Lynn C.

The portions are huge! My enchiladas were so full of tender chicken and the verde sauce has just enough 'kick' for me. This lunch came with a choice of side, I had the salad which was generous in size. Both were delicious. I appreciated our waitress, Calley, who was very attentive, even the manager came over twice to make sure we had everything we needed. Eager to go back. Also, their bakery items looked decadent. Several people bought them while we were there. Highly recommend.

Wonderful customer service. Very clean. Every dish I've tried has been very good. Their hot latte is my favorite in Old Towne Orange.

    Are dogs allowed?

Yes, we have some outdoor seating

    Do they have chocolate croissants?

Yes! And they are delicious and soft. But they have way more than that. I usually get something with nuts on it, or the fruit tart. Their coffee is pretty good too. They have big house cups like Starbucks used to have back in the day.

Overall, everything lacked flavor, although I will say the red salsa served with the chips was delicious. My friend ordered the avocado toast, but it was basically just a slice of bread with sliced avocado--no seasoning, condiments, or anything to make it stand out. The small garden salad was equally underwhelming, consisting of only romaine lettuce and cherry tomatoes with no dressing or even a drizzle of olive oil. I ordered the Eggs Benedict, but they were more like open-faced boiled eggs since the yolks were completely hard instead of runny. The café de olla had a nice flavor, but it was much sweeter than expected. I think it would be better if they served it unsweetened (or lightly sweetened) and let customers adjust the sugar to their own taste. I really wanted to enjoy this place because the ambiance is so charming, but the food just didn't live up to the experience.

The hours never really worked with our schedule either being from 8:30 am to 2 pm. We started off with the Ube Sweet Cream Cold Brew ($7) and Pandan Cold Brew ($7). My bf absolutely loved the ube cold brew and said it was probably the best he's ever had. He loved it so much that he got another one to-go after we finished our meal so that was a rare occurrence lol. The ube flavor was strong even after everything was mixed together. Smooth, creamy and tasty. My pandan cold brew was also pretty good. Usually I feel like pandan is difficult to get a real robust flavor and you end up tasting more coffee than pandan. I could actually taste the vanilla/nutty notes and coconut flavor. Also very yummy after mixing it all together. Cold brew flavor did end up coming out stronger tho but I somewhat expect that. We ordered the Adobo Rice Omelet ($14.95 - Chicken-adobo garlic rice wrapped in a three egg omelet, topped with adobo gravy, fried garlic & scallions) - This was really tasty and kind of heavy for me. Sooo much rice under the omelette bed lol. I was beyond stuffed and couldn't take another bite at the end and ended up packing like 2 bites in a small box. My bf ordered the Jeepney Breakfast Burrito ($14 - Crispy golden potatoes, melted cheese, chipotle aoli, scrambled eggs. Your choice of meat, served with a side of pork chicharron and Sinigang Salsa verde) - This was soo delicious. The chicharron side was a great crunch and sinigang salsa verde with the burrito made it even better. It was over the top for our bellies already with the heavy breakfast, but I still insisted that we try a regular breakfast item like french toast. Ordered the Ube Fruity Pebble French Toast ($16.95) and it was yummy! I definitely needed more fruity pebbles but that's my preference. Staff was friendly and prompt. The place was packed and I had joined the waitlist online prior to coming. Waited less than 10 min when we actually arrived. I also loved the decorations everywhere with the foliage, light fixtures and even the ceiling fans. The Tagalog vocab on the chalkboard is also fun to read and learn. I like that there's still a modern feel to the place.

That's really just personal preference though. The food has been consistently good every time I've come. Even the dishes I wouldn't normally think to order end up being good. It does get busy pretty quickly after they open, but it's worth the wait. I also really like the atmosphere here. Good music, nice ambiance, and the servers have always been friendly.
