First time here and visited during Happy Hour. Sat outdoors since the weather was perfect. Happy hour prices included a selection of appetizers so we had the calamari, fried green tomatoes, and alligator bites. Instead of dinner, we ordered another calamari appetizer and a cup of Jambalaya. Everything was delicious! The server, who was also the bartender, took great care of us. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and quite busy but still provided great service! The special Happy Hour drinks were priced right and tasted ok. obsessed with sizemore! I came here for their oyster special ($1 on weekdays at the bar!) and was blown away with how delicious they were. super buttery and delicious hot sauce as well. So glad they decided to continue this special throughout July. The service is great, the staff checks up on us frequently and are very kind, and the entire restaurant is so cute with both indoor and outdoor seating and a modern, beachy atmosphere. What a treat this place was!!! Took a coworker out for work after a client meeting here and it was the most precious place ever! Amazing views the food was delicious. I got the fish tacos and plantains tasted so fresh. The staff was amazing. They were hosting a big event today and still were attentive to us! We stumbled upon this place while walking at Jax beach. Their outside patio is spacious and even has heaters. We had to sit outside cause we had our pup with us, so this was perfect. We are staying in North Beach but took a ride to Jacksonville beach to have lunch. We were seated immediately on the patio outside. Ordered drinks a Bloody Mary and prosecco and fried green tomato appetizer. Very good. Hubby had the shrimp po boy with a side of red beans and rice. We ended up here for brunch, sat outside to enjoy the nice breezy air and ordered the Steak and Eggs Burrito with breakfast potatoes. The Events Team was great to work with and coordinate this group reservation without balking at individual checks. We got in a Monday after a holiday. So not sure if they weren't staffed enough, but we waited about two hours for our food to come. The food was good but it was a little frustrating to wait that long. Our waiter was super nice though and he accommodated us for the wait. They have a decent happy hour and on Mondays it's $1 oysters and $5 beer. The oysters tasted really fresh. I hope the food wait doesn't always suck because I would love to come back for some happy hour. Parking wasn't too bad if you parked across the stress in the parking lot. read more

Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing experience from start to finish. We had trouble even making our reservation because of issues with the restaurant's phone system. When we arrived, we had reserved a dining room table but were seated at high-top tables instead. The service throughout the evening was extremely slow. Our food took a very long time to come out, and when it finally did, several meals were incorrect. The steak was served raw, and the fish dinners were fried instead of blackened as ordered. Drink service at our table was also incredibly slow. We eventually went to the bar ourselves, but even there the service was so delayed that the bartender ended up giving us our drinks for free. To the restaurant's credit, they acknowledged the issues and discounted our food by 50%, which we appreciated. However, the overall experience fell well below expectations. Between the reservation problems, seating mix-up, slow service, and multiple kitchen mistakes, it wasn't the dining experience we had hoped for and will not be going back. read more

Im glad theres a spot like this next to the beach. Parking is relatively easy to find around the place since it is beach parking. If you're lucky to find free one right by the front or theres paid meters and paid public parking lot just walking distance away. The food was delicious. I like the way the calamari, shrimp, and oysters were breaded and fried. The oysters were great for the happy hour price too. And we came on labor day and they were still doing happy hour which was great. You can choose to sit inside or outside. Outside is a vibe, right by the beach. Inside is nice and comfortable too. First thing- they DO NOT VALIDATE PARKING as stated on Resy. Do make reservations, especially for a large group. This was our first time here. Parking is challenging. There is a paid lot across the street. Staff said they are trying to make a deal to validate this, but as of 8/2025, you have to pay. The restaurant is tucked away beside the new boardwalk with a view of the sand dunes and sea oats. Staff are very friendly and we were seated quickly. The place was very loud and has a bar - like vibe. I ordered the grilled octopus , which came out looking beautiful. Unfortunately it was so burned, the bitterness ruined the taste of the entire dish. The sweet potatoes and sauce was amazing. Cherry tomatoes were a perfect addition, kudos! Drinks: I started with the Coastal Breeze which was a gin drink similar to a mule but earthier with the gin and basil. I enjoyed it! Others in the group had a gin gimlet and Bloody Mary and enjoyed both. Would like to see a few more draft beers on the list but had more available in a bottle. We tried 1 appetizer this go around- the tuna poke. It was amazing- very fresh with a great presentation. Could maybe be served with a little less rice because we left a lot on the plate. Entrees: We ordered the fish platter (fresh catch today was Flounder but he mentioned they always have Cod as their main fish)--lightly blackened was perfect with the flounder and the seasonal vegetable was delish! Sizemore's Coastal Seafood sits just a few steps from the sand on 1st Street North in Jacksonville Beach, a breezy location that feels built for lingering after a walk on the shore. We wanted a light lunch, and for the most part, Sizemore obliged. My wife ordered the grilled octopus, arranged with roasted red pepper puree, crispy red potatoes, cherry tomatoes, and a balsamic reduction. The puree was the star, an umami-rich burst that elevated the plate. It had to work hard, because the octopus was overcooked, tough, and underseasoned. The potatoes were pleasant enough, and the plating could have passed for a postcard. I went for the seafood bowl with grilled shrimp and scallops over cilantro lime jasmine rice and black beans, topped with pico de gallo, guacamole, cilantro crema, and chipotle aioli. The shrimp carried a satisfying char. The scallops leaned past their prime but kept their flavor. The rice and beans, especially when mixed with the pico and guac, tied everything together into something bright and balanced. The proteins could have been treated more gently, but for a quick coastal lunch, it landed well enough. I chose the shrimp basket and was happy to get 10 delicious shrimp. And hush puppies! Not that many places have hush puppies anymore. My husband and I were in Jacksonville for a quick business trip and decided to head to the coast for one last ocean view and (hopefully) a good bite before our flight. As we walked along, the stylish branded logo of Sizemore's Kitchen immediately caught our eye--and we're so glad it did! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt just right. The space is beautifully decorated, the bathrooms were spotless (always a good sign!), and the vibe was warm and lively with people laughing and enjoying themselves. We decided to order a few starters to share--and being from Kansas City, we had to try the gator tails. They did not disappoint! Every dish was fresh, perfectly seasoned, and allowed the main ingredients to really shine without being overpowered. You could taste the care in the cooking. The drinks were also top-notch, thanks to a talented bartender. But the true standout of our visit was Lea, our server. Her friendly, helpful nature and deep knowledge of the menu made our experience even better. She truly made us feel like we were more than just customers. I was especially touched to read the bit of history in the menu about the Sizemore family wanting guests to feel like part of their family. Well--mission accomplished. I hosted a 60-person event here and truly can't say enough good things about the experience. From the event planning process with Coral to the incredible day-of service from Rhonda, Alex, Sean, Will, and the entire team, everything exceeded my expectations. They thoughtfully cleared out the center of the restaurant to create an easy, natural flow for guests, opened the garage doors for the perfect indoor-outdoor atmosphere, and timed each course exactly to our preferences. The drinks were consistently excellent, and we especially loved the personalized touch of the custom drink naming convention. Every detail was handled seamlessly, and the level of hospitality made the event feel incredibly special. Thank you Sizemore's for adding a gem to our Beach. I entered weathered and worn from a morning at the beach. Asked if I was ok and quickly invited to a seat at the beach. The restaurant was bustling not busy but comfortably full. The 1st gem was Brandon my bartender. I was thirsty and quickly settled into a "Southern Swell Karate in the Garage". Brandon and I passed small talk as liquor placement in the bar was negotiated. I wanted Ceviche but they were out! Not a bad sign a great sign that the menu is being used. Wanting just a snack I decided on Calamari and an Orange Blossom Beer. The calamari arrived with a red sauce not spicy enough for me but a few sprinkles of hot save Perfection. The calamari was small but in a great way with crisp peppers. The restaurant is clean and fresh with a display of catch of the day. They have a nice bar and a great patio with ocean views. The moment we walked in, the staff were there to greet us with a friendly smile and one thing I noticed right away was how clean the place was. We asked for a few additional plantain chips and to accompany the tuna pokey and he brought out an entire plate of freshly made chips! We shared the fish tacos which they plated separately in the kitchen. The manager came to inquire if we needed anything. If I try really hard to find anything lacking, it would be the absence of a coaster under the drinks. Sitting outside at the table, the condensation would drip onto our feet. We took advantage of the wait time and perused the menu, by the time we were seated we knew just what we wanted.
