obsessed with sizemore! I came here for their oyster special ($1 on weekdays at the bar!) and was blown away with how delicious they were. super buttery and delicious hot sauce as well. So glad they decided to continue this special throughout July. The service is great, the staff checks up on us frequently and are very kind, and the entire restaurant is so cute with both indoor and outdoor seating and a modern, beachy atmosphere. Their cocktails are delicious and they make a great dirty martini, and their calamari is good too. The octopus I could do without, but I will 1000% be back for their oysters soon

What a treat this place was!!! Took a coworker out for work after a client meeting here and it was the most precious place ever! Amazing views the food was delicious. I got the fish tacos and plantains tasted so fresh. The staff was amazing. They were hosting a big event today and still were attentive to us! So convenient to the beach you can come up grab a bite to eat go back down. It's definitely has the vibe of casual but also can be a date place in the evening! Very impressive space and cute theme! Can't wait to go back!

Had the redfish and shrimp over noodles and it was fabulous. And finding a seafood restaurant on the Atlantic oceanfront was a treat. I hope we get more hi quality restaurants on the boardwalk of downtown Jacksonville Beach

Have to update the review. Came here a second time and the service was still horrible. The first time we came here I thought it was because it was busy. The second time coming here we came right when they opened and it was still horrible. Our server took forever to come to our table. Then they missed an order. The food took a while to come, again we came when they first opened so not sure why. They up charge you $8 if you want flounder for any fish options.

Valentine's Day dinner and we had our reservation at 9PM but proceeded to come earlier and was seated outside as their was heater by our dining table. For starters, ordered the dozen oysters and Calamari, both were really delicious. Got the Scallops for the main course with the veggie salad fixing and it was quite tasty. The Chocolate Cake paired really well with the Old-Fashioned Whiskey for dessert. Shoutout to our awesome server Chloe for the lovely evening, it was a great experience and we are glad we went to celebrate V-Day here at Sizemore's and we will definitely be back soon.

We stumbled upon this place while walking at Jax beach. Their outside patio is spacious and even has heaters. We had to sit outside cause we had our pup with us, so this was perfect. Service was fast and friendly. We ordered drinks and apps plus fish tacos to share. My hubby had the seafood jambalaya to himself. The salad with the crab cakes was delicious. And the fish tacos were tasty and filling. We would def come back next time we're in the area!!!

We are staying in North Beach but took a ride to Jacksonville beach to have lunch. We were seated immediately on the patio outside. Ordered drinks a Bloody Mary and prosecco and fried green tomato appetizer. Very good. Hubby had the shrimp po boy with a side of red beans and rice. He said the food was good but that the shrimp didn't have a lot of flavor. I had the southern fried chicken sandwich with fries. Very tasty. We recommend and will definitely return.

Wondering around the beach area and stumbled upon this restaurant. My friend wanted Bloody Marys and found the right place to get some. We ended up here for brunch, sat outside to enjoy the nice breezy air and ordered the Steak and Eggs Burrito with breakfast potatoes. The burrito was good and the steak was cooked at medium / medium rare which was nice. Great blend of the eggs, peppers, cheese, onions, potatoes and red pepper aioli coming together. Really liked the breakfast potatoes. Food was good, but service could've been better. The server was nice, but had a hard time getting his attention or that it takes time to see him around. Other than that, I may be interested in revisit for either lunch or dinner.

High of 55°F today found us venturing to the Beaches for lunch with friends! Sizemore's Coastal Kitchen recently opened for lunch & now open for Brunch on weekends. Dinner menu a bit more expansive. Fantastic service from Amy & Vinny, while GM Rhonda stopped by to ensure everything was good. The Events Team was great to work with and coordinate this group reservation without balking at individual checks. Great location, right on the ocean boardwalk with garage doors that can open, weather permitting, for that true tropical indoor/outdoor dining experience! 26 of us braved the elements and enjoyed a good meal with friendly fellowship! Everyone enjoyed their meals ... this was just a small sampling of what was available. Definitely recommend.

We got in a Monday after a holiday. So not sure if they weren't staffed enough, but we waited about two hours for our food to come. The food was good but it was a little frustrating to wait that long. Our waiter was super nice though and he accommodated us for the wait. They have a decent happy hour and on Mondays it's $1 oysters and $5 beer. The oysters tasted really fresh. I hope the food wait doesn't always suck because I would love to come back for some happy hour. Parking wasn't too bad if you parked across the stress in the parking lot.

Im glad theres a spot like this next to the beach. Parking is relatively easy to find around the place since it is beach parking. If you're lucky to find free one right by the front or theres paid meters and paid public parking lot just walking distance away. The food was delicious. I like the way the calamari, shrimp, and oysters were breaded and fried. The oysters were great for the happy hour price too. And we came on labor day and they were still doing happy hour which was great. You can choose to sit inside or outside. Outside is a vibe, right by the beach. Inside is nice and comfortable too. Our server was attentive and nice. Overall a great experience here. Will be back for sure.

First thing- they DO NOT VALIDATE PARKING as stated on Resy. Do make reservations, especially for a large group. This was our first time here. Parking is challenging. There is a paid lot across the street. Staff said they are trying to make a deal to validate this, but as of 8/2025, you have to pay. The restaurant is tucked away beside the new boardwalk with a view of the sand dunes and sea oats. Staff are very friendly and we were seated quickly. The place was very loud and has a bar - like vibe. I ordered the grilled octopus , which came out looking beautiful. Unfortunately it was so burned, the bitterness ruined the taste of the entire dish. The sweet potatoes and sauce was amazing. Cherry tomatoes were a perfect addition, kudos! Tip: sous vide the octopus and finish lightly on the grill.

They really did a great job with the makeover of this place- the decor is great. It's bright and has a coastal feel. They had Caribbean music playing at lunch which was perfect for lunch by the beach. The decor and design is great. Our server (Mitch) was very knowledgeable of the menu and explained everything very well! He was attentive and checked on us frequently. Drinks: I started with the Coastal Breeze which was a gin drink similar to a mule but earthier with the gin and basil. I enjoyed it! Others in the group had a gin gimlet and Bloody Mary and enjoyed both. Would like to see a few more draft beers on the list but had more available in a bottle. We tried 1 appetizer this go around- the tuna poke. It was amazing- very fresh with a great presentation. Could maybe be served with a little less rice because we left a lot on the plate. Entrees: We ordered the fish platter (fresh catch today was Flounder but he mentioned they always have Cod as their main fish)--lightly blackened was perfect with the flounder and the seasonal vegetable was delish! Also ordered one of the seafood bowls (jasmine rice, avocado, pico, etc. plus choice of protein). It was a very large portion size and we took about half of it home. All in all- I really enjoyed this place. I will be back to try to Caribbean sticky ribs and oysters Rockefeller. I'm glad there is finally a restaurant in that location that is good quality.

Ask the Community - Sizemore’s Coastal Kitchen

Anything gluten free on the menu?

More than likely just things from the raw bar or maybe a grilled fresh catch. Even with that I would just double check the accompanying ingredients and possibly ask if they could modify the dish to suit your needs.

    Is there a happy hour?

    Wednesday $1 oysters etc.

By the time we ordered the small plates and shortly after its arrival I was convinced we'd come back. Delicious! Flavorful, decadent and very fulfilling! From the Queso completo, Mexican street corn and the carnitas tamale rojo that was perfectly paired with a pickled flavored jalapeño made the dish alive and tapping with flavor dancing on the taste buds. I asked the server to surprise me between three dishes I couldn't decide from. Dom, you're amazing; kind, courteous and you really know how to make an everlasting impression so effortlessly. The star of the show was the whole grilled yellowtail chef's special with a tamarind ponzu sauce that he chose for me! What a way to wow your guest and make them feel safe with trusting the palette of the family that's working together. I have to say this dish was AMAZING, Craig (The Chef) came to greet us in the midst of our dinner, that was a first! Hands down best yellowtail. My bf doesn't even like fish and he couldn't stop from eating it and wished he'd ordered the special. It was a nice, cozy and modern space and I love the ambiance! Can't wait to come back! Thanks again Dom & Craig!!

4.5 stars would be most accurate. Located in the heart of Jacksonville Beach, this fancy restaurant…read moreserves Oaxaca food from Mexico for both dinner and brunch. I had my first meal there when I visited Jacksonville Beach recently. Got the grilled bone-in yellow snapper, which was a daily special. Fresh, meaty, smoky. It was served with mixed greens and apple salad, some grilled green onions and freshly made corn tortillas. All paired well with the fish. The tortillas were about 0.75oz per piece. Moreover, the dish was served on a HUGE cutting board! I also ordered a side of Spanish rice, but surprisingly the manager took it off from my bill, saying that "[he was] glad that I enjoyed the meal so much"! The first meal was indeed impressive; it had been a while since I had had such Mexican food last time. So I decided to give it another try the next evening. Ordered the Carne Asada (asked for rare) and sub the beans with extra tortillas (to avoid high GI food). But the steak was disappointing: the first time it was served ~medium-well. The second time it was ~medium-rare so I did not complain twice. However, it was quite chewy. One reason was that, as you can see from my picture, the meat was not rest long enough before it was sliced and served. Service was good, friendly and quick. The restuarant was a bit noisy but I enjoyed the energy. Moreover, there were lots of beautiful decors and murals. I really like the tiger painted on the wall of their main dining area. So in short, I would recommend this restaurant if you like Mexican food. I would recommend the seafood and slowly-cooked stuff, like their short rib and pork shank. And I will dine in again the next time I visit Jacksonville Beach.
