It's a small shop so not a lot of seating but you can see the roasting machines in the corner and the staff are so nice and welcoming. They even have organic home pressed juices to choose from. The staff member's tone was hostile and dismissive from the moment I asked a simple question, and it did not let up. I felt uncomfortable enough to cancel my order entirely. When I asked for a receipt to confirm my refund, she threw it away in front of me. A colleague had to ask her again on my behalf, and she snapped that she had already discarded it. EDIT: Unfortunately like many others the slow service and burnt coffee has started to happen more frequently and I will most likely not be back. You would think a place that roasts their own beans would have skilled employees. ------------------------------------------ I live near this cafe and it's really convenient as there aren't many coffee places on the Interbay side of Magnolia. I definitely wouldn't say they're the fastest and I've gotten an iced latte when I ordered an iced mocha but overall they're pretty good! They sometimes create different whip creams for their coffees and they made a lavender blackberry whip that was delicious! They have a great staff and a lot of parking. I agree with another reviewer that they are pretty slow and it looks like from the drive thru they have one person making coffees and another working the register and another that flutters around doing misc. stuff. read more

I learned Starbucks was not the best coffee roaster in Seattle... My friends took me to this coffee shop, and few other coffee shops including the first Starbucks store.... it was no question to me... which one was better. This coffee shop has the best dark coffee!! I normally feel a little strange with my stomach after having a cup of dark coffee at the Seattle'e largest coffee company; but my stomach was still fine with a large cup of dark coffee of this coffee shop. Also I learned this store has several stores in Toky area... sadly I am from Saga, so no chance to visit their stores in Tokyo. read more

When I asked my partner, he said it didn't taste like coffee either. I could also barely taste the honey lavender in it. Generally, my coffee is always strong or too sugary. It's been a while since I've had a drink like this. The cookie was also odd. I was very disappointed. Overall, everything about it was not the best. Just okay.

There is even a whole rack of non-coffee oriented drinks and ready-to-go food options like being at the airport. So this is not the place to hang out en masse or to camp out with your laptop. However, I love the concept of indie cafes, big or small. Clearly the owner of OG Coffee is living the dream of crafting coffee beverages and selling wholesale also as a micro-roaster. He partners with Maiz and their four Seattle locations at the moment. He hopes to have baked goods available onsite and mentioned featuring Macrina pastries. I enjoyed my chat with Aldo, a very personable proprietor and very proud of his business. I learned also that he was a painter and world traveler. Pretty cool. Anyways, OG Coffee was opened briefly earlier this year, but had to deal with various logistics hence the shut down period. I timed my visit well as this is OG Coffee's soft opening part 2. The grand opening is scheduled for June 15th, two Saturdays from today. I ended up savoring my mocha later while visiting Carkeek Park. On point, balanced 16oz mocha! Another place to add to my indie cafe rotation.
