This is near the ferry terminal and it is within walking distance of many hotels. There is plenty of seating to enjoy your coffee as well as working from the café. We ordered a latte, black coffee, and apple fritter. It was nice and hot and the apple fritter was moist and delicious. It was not too sweet. On my way to the ferry, found this corner coffee shop. Ordered a breakfast burrito and a MVP coffee to go. The wait time was 10 minutes to order and another 10 before it was served. Burrito was stuffed with potatos but had VERY little egg or sausage. Coffee was good temp and flavorful. Both were hugely overpriced though, totalling over$19 for the 2 item order. As a longtime coffee snob, Caffe D'arte makes a top notch cup of Joe! They roast their own coffee and, judging from the taste, they obviously know what they are doing. This is a truly artisanal operation - no over-roasted commercial Starbucks blends here. My only real complaint is that their prices are a bit steep. A standard 12-oz latte is about $7, but sometimes you have to pay a bit more if you want the top shelf stuff. read more

Walking into Caffe D'arte brought me back to a local piazza or square in Rome and Naples. The smell of freshly ground coffee, air conditioning and pastries transported me to al fresco dining and summer breezes. Sabel and the other barista were exceptional and the coffee was smooth, balanced and a little nutty. In a coffee city in which some coffee shops seem to try too hard, Caffe D'Arte is cool and chill and provides a wonderful laid back atmosphere. Best place in Pioneer Square for coffee. Caffé D'Arte has a few locations, including this one. It mostly has coffee of course, but there's also a few pastries and sweets. Has prices that are comparable with other places around here. There's only a few seats inside so most people get takeout. A casual place and hip. It's part of a small local chain that has a few locations. This one is the best though. Certainly appropriate for the area. It's about $4 for a latte. Has a few non dairy milk choices. The coffee is why people come, but there's some other stuff. It's about $3 for baked goods. The Protein Puck cookie is from a local bakery with a few flavors and it's vegan. Good stuff. The other options include things like croissants among others. For sure it's a good place for coffee. It's located on 1st Avenue at Yesler Way in the middle of everything. Post-lockdown, I learned to time my visits. This is a tourist-heavy stretch, and a lot of days there's only one person holding down the entire bar. Translation: if you swing by during peak hours, settle in... it might be a wait. Not because they're slow, because they're human, and doing the work of three people with the attitude of someone who still genuinely loves the job. But when you catch it outside the rush? Smooth. Fast. Easy. And the coffee? Always great. Consistently. I usually pop in while I'm walking my dog, and they never fail to hook him up with a pup cup. Inside, the lighting is lovely, the atmosphere is cozy, and you'll see a mix of locals and visitors settling in with laptops. read more

Unfortunately, I didn't even get the chance to try anything here. After almost 10 minutes of waiting, I had to give up and leave. I walked in around 7:00am and there was only one customer seated, already enjoying their coffee. When the barista finally came back to the front, she realized that customer hadn't actually paid. Instead of ringing me up first and handling the issue after, she spent a minute trying to get his attention (he was wearing AirPods), then brought him back to the register and started reloading a gift card and ringing up additional items. Drinks are always pretty decent, nothing gross tasting and customer service is ok. What really is the worst though is the stench and the flies I've come in 4 times and only once has it not smelled like urine and sewer water. Every time though has always had flies. It's a indoor area with a closed door so I don't know why they have such a horrible stench or flies when other places like lune cafe which is right next door has neither. read more

I had a delicious Orange Cream Cold Brew made by the nicest baristas today! Just the right amount of sweetness and a good coffee kick. Originally I had my mind set on a latte or something, I really just came for a warm frothy drink and maybe some latte art but when I saw their featured menu photos and the orange foam I WANTED IT. I was first turned on to Caffe D'arte in Boise, ID where their black and white cold unexpected knocked me off my socks. I've made my way to their Seattle location a number of times hoping to have the same experience as I did in Idaho, but I've even been able to quite get there. That's not to say the coffee here isn't very good - it is and I'm someone who seeks out something unique in my coffee when I travel and they do bring that. Their marbled cold brew does not hit the same, but they also have an orange cream cold brew that is crazy unique and very tasty - definitely worth a trip in if you are like me and want to try something different! Cafe D'arte was mentioned during the tour as a great place for coffee so my wife wanted to try it. I wasn't feeling up for coffee and I certainly wasn't hungry as I just ate lunch, so all I can go by is the few sips I had of my wife's mocha and the service. Top marks for all the above. The Barista was very friendly and the mocha is absolutely delicious. I had to fight temptation to get one for myself. Horrible experience. The elder woman working was flat out cruel and rude from the moment I walked in. She continuously kept sighing and rolling her eyes. There was no rush at all, in fact I was the only customer in store and she acted as if every little thing I did was a major inconvenience for her. And!
