Today, I literally had to leave because when I walked in, there was no one behind the counter, I stood there for a few minutes until someone finally came out out of the back section, and then I assume, went behind the counter to tell the worker that I was waiting. When the worker came out, she had a bunch of cookies in her hands that she then had to proceed to fold and put into a bag and then she started making the coffee of two people that were sitting at the counter while I was still just standing there. She did acknowledge me, which I appreciate, but at that point, I have been standing there for at least five minutes and I still hadn't ordered my coffee. I told her that I had to leave because I had to get to work and went to Starbucks instead, which I really didn't want to do. But this has been a pattern with this place- either they're not hiring enough staff, the staff that they have is overwhelmed or something is going on. I've been coming here for almost a year- and I definitely would prefer to patronize a local Shop, but not if it's gonna take five minutes to even just get my order taken when I am literally the only person in line. Also, I wanna add, I literally used to come here three times a week. This is not a new experience, but this one has really taken it over the top. Like I said, I want to support a local coffee shop, and I want to like this place, but particularly in the morning when people are on their way to work, this type of delay is totally unacceptable. You can no longer order a custom cake. Ordering online was simple. I was able to get my questions answered via email. The cake pick-up process was not a problem. My cake was beautiful and delicious. Yellow cake with strawberry filing and lots of buttercream icing! The price was very reasonable.

The crossaint was so flaky and buttery. And for me the pricing was very competitive. My only disappointments were in how eat in items were served. I was killing time in between events and so the pour over came in the glass carafe it dripped into but came wiith a nice stoneware small cup to drink out of. The stoneware kept the heat but couldn't contain the entirety of the pour. So the remainder in the glass cooled pretty quickly that way. Also I had the crossaint warmed but it fries the brie. That's on me for the request but it would have been great if someone could have caught that for me.
