Ambiance: Cozy and inviting with that perfect artisanal coffee shop vibe. Definitely one of those spots that feels both polished and comfortable. Coffee: Delicious and thoughtfully made. I had their special coffee with orange flavoring and an espresso-based latte infused with orange essence. The bright citrus notes paired beautifully with the richness of the espresso, and it was perfectly balanced. A must try! Parking: Street parking only, mostly metered. Depending on the time of day, you might have to circle a bit, but it's manageable. Overall: This is the kind of place you'll want to keep coming back to. Great for getting work done (with hotspot because they do no have wifi), or just posting up with a friend for a really good chat. The staff is friendly, the drinks are excellent, and the space has a really good energy to it. Highly recommend!

Caffe Luxxe is an exquisite cafe and L.A.'s premiere coffee roaster. They're located in Montana ave in Santa Monica. They serve good coffee and tea drinks as well as pastries. I have drove by them a few time and finally got the chance to check-in today. I arrived early Sunday morning to grab a hot Caffe Latte and a Choco Croissant. Both items were good, however, I wish my croissant was warm. Service was spot on. Prices were a bit pricey but expected for the area. Indoor and outdoor seats were spacious. Atmosphere was relaxing. Staff were competent and professional. Street Parking only. Overall, it's modest coffee shop.

After a morning weekend walking event in Santa Monica, I stopped by Caffe Luxxe for a coffee pick-me-up. They were temporarily closed around 11 am and had a sign up that they would reopen at noon, but they ended up opening earlier when I walked by around 11:50 am. I parked at a small street around the block since part of the street parking on the main street were blocked for construction and walked to Caffe Luxxe. A line was already formed inside that almost reached the door, but they keep the line moving. I was debating between the Caffe Shakerato ($6.75 for 8 oz, which has espresso and dark chocolate) and the Caffe Nico ($7.50 for 8 oz, which has espresso and cinnamon), but ultimately decided on the Caffe Shakerato. I was appreciative that they were cool with using my reusable tumbler (as I continue on my quest to avoid disposable plastic). This chilled drink was so good, a delicious blend of coffee and chocolate!

    Vanilla creme cold brew

Went to Cafe Luxxe on an early Saturday morning for a little pick me up and the line was long! I got the vanilla creme cold brew ($7.75) and was very excited to try it. I loved how the vanilla creme top was made there with my preferred milk of choice instead of it being premade. The cold brew itself however was a bit sour with the first sip I had. The coffee was strong but for a cold brew it was over brewed unfortunately. I really loved the Vanilla Creme top!

Half filled cold brew bc, hey, I asked for side ice
    Adam W.

Um, asked for cold brew no ice and they filled it to here. Oddly, at the Country Mart store this wouldn't happen. May we do math? It's maybe 2 ounces at a COGS of...5 cents per marginal ounce? That dime cost you an extra cup (over 5 cents), a lost LONG TERM customer, and this delightful review. BTW, I'm at the BCM 2x per week, and went to the PCH Malibu store yesterday. They are great. Do better. Response from manager neglected to say that the person who ordered asked for the cup to be filled higher, and was told no. Dumb. That cost you a customer x 2. Hello Primo Passo.

Really solid coffee at Luxxe. Can't say it's top tier cause very few places get that distinction in my book. Not to diminish what is served here. The staff is super friendly and this location is lovely and spacious. I had two drinks, but will only review the Americano and the pastry as those were purchased items. Both solid. It's definitely a great place in Santa Monica.

    Lavender foam vanilla cold brew
    Rebecca T.

Stopped by for an after-meal coffee and opted for the seasonal special, the lavender foam vanilla cold brew. The lavender foam was decent, but the cold brew tasted oddly medicinal? Not the best coffee I've had, but not the worst. Maybe I chose the wrong drink, but it wasn't my favorite.

Their Apple Maps location says that pets are welcome, so I brought my dog. As I was ordering, the barista told me that pets aren't allowed. He said he would serve my coffee "just this time." 1/5 stars for inconsistent messaging and bad communication.

Taken on a rainy Saturday morning ...the place was packed and the line was long!

C'era una regazza italiana....di firenze ( there once was an Italian girl from Florence that was my Italian tutor and my crush back when I was a student at Santa Monica College ) . For her birthday I really wanted to impress her and she was often always homesick. I knew about this cute little café, because I actually interviewed here for a job and met the very kind owner who was inspired by his travels in Italy, and wanted to open up a coffee shop that could compare to the high-quality espresso and espresso based drinks served in bars ( what Italians call cafés ) in Italy . This place did the trick ! I forget which drink I got her, but I remember the tears of joy swelling up in her eyes as she thanked me and told me that it was the closest thing that reminded her of home in a very long time. Long story short try this place, especially if you've been to Italy and you long for the robust and yet smooth café that you can't get at a "Starbucks " kind of establishment. No shade to Starbucks or those who love Starbucks ... just an acknowledgment that this place is in a league of its own. ; )

I came to Caffe Luxxe before a book club walk on a Sunday, so of course the line was long but it moved pretty fast. The baristas were very friendly and helpful. I wanted the caffe shakerato but no added sugar/syrup besides the chocolate and it was so good! Velvety soft and perfectly flavored, I was totally enamored.

A nice coffee shop in a nice neighborhood. Staffs are friendly enough. There are some decent coffee beans freshly roasted coffee beans purchase so it's nice.

What else do they serve beside coffee and tea?

All I had was their yummy coffee, but they had a glass case with tasty treats in it that looked very good. I think some of the pictures on yelp people have posted show some of their pasteries and such.

I can see why he loves it -- the egg tarts are very custardy and rich, with a lightly eggy flavor but the sweetness from heavy cream in each bite contrasting to the flaky crust. We were delighted with the box of cookies and tarts that they brought from Paderia in Santa Monica. The chocolate chip walnut cookies were fat and soft with a slightly crisp exterior. The thickness of them allowed a plethora of rich chips to reside inside. I'm not a fan of chunks of nuts in cookies but these were chopped in tiny pieces, so did not take away from the overall soft texture. The soft peanut butter chocolate cookie was also a huge fattie with peanut butter chips within the chocolate cookie. Both were enhanced with a quick warm-up. I loved both of these cookies and think the chocolate chip is the very best you'll ever find. We also had Portuguese egg tarts. The pastel de nata (if I recall, this is what they are called) I ate was small but good, but I have had others that were more to my liking, with a sweeter custard and a more caramelized top, which I guess is a personal preference. Not to say it wasn't delicious - it was! I love the cookies so much I'll be checking out their Irvine location soon, which is much closer to me.
