Excellent! I love the key neighborhood vibe here. I noticed that there are a lot of regulars and the owner knows them by name - cute! Anywho, we came here for lunch and it was such a nice lunch. I ordered the croque madam and my husband ordered the baguette Brie sandwich. All very good! I also ordered a cappuccino and it was excellent. Great service, great good, great vibe! read more

Widows Not Welcome at The European Café I walked into The European Café this morning and asked for a table for one. The host responded, "Just one?" with noticeable judgment. I confirmed, and was told to take a seat at a table. A few minutes later, I was asked to move to the "community table" because I was a "solo"--a label that was repeated loudly enough to be heard across the restaurant. What they didn't know is that I'm not just a "solo." I'm a widow. Going out to eat alone isn't easy--it takes emotional strength just to walk through the door. I was hoping for a quiet breakfast and a small sense of normal. Instead, I was treated like an inconvenience. At the new table, staff stacked catering supplies next to me and began wrapping items right in front of me, as if I was in the way. I felt humiliated and deeply disrespected. I left feeling worse than when I arrived. The European Café may serve food, but it lacked the basic kindness and awareness that any good hospitality should offer. Please train your staff to treat all guests with dignity--you never know what someone is carrying with them. read more

Met an old friend here for breakfast. The place is super cute and was quite busy for a Wednesday at 10 am. For a while there was just one person managing the place, i.e. waiting tables, managing the cash register, etc. By the time we left someone else was helping. We were in no hurry, so we didn't mind the short wait. The coffee was delicious. I drink it black and much too often I find coffee is not the focus of some restaurants. The European Cafe not only serves delicious food, but they also focus on coffee. Even my simple black coffee was great. I ordered the BLT+E, that's bacon, lettuce, tomato and egg on an english muffin. It was quite tasty. The side of goetta was nice sized, but seemed a bit expensive. But hey, I love goetta and wasn't going to miss the opportunity. We didn't know if we should wait for the check. When we were finished and ready to go, we simply walked up to the register and they were ready for us. I am guessing this is the checkout process. The entire experience was good and I'm glad we decided to meet at The European Cafe for our get-together. read more

I finally made it to The European Cafe in downtown Montgomery (right off of Montgomery Rd. by the Montgomery Inn). Indoor and outdoor seating, 2 large community table sped up seating on a busy Saturday morning (because more than 1 party can be seated at a table- similar to how some restaurants let you eat at the bar for instant service). The menu has lots of great options! I chose the lemonade and the biscuit breakfast sandwich with a side of jam. Everything tasted great, even the melted cheese! Price point was good- under $14 total. read more

My granddaughter and I were in the area and we wanted a sandwich shop. She had a Turkey Deli sandwich and she loved that they put cucumber on it! I had an incredible Short Rib Grilled Cheese! I'm so glad we yelped them, it's a darling restaurant. A place that you would want to come for breakfast or lunch! I would love a restaurant in my neighborhood like this one! Their customer service was great and it's small but very comfortable. read more

Don't waste your time...Bad service 2 times I've tried 2 times struck out. First time several weeks ago super nice sunny day.... tables set up out side Café style I sat in a seat waiting for service none came I went inside and was informed The Out Side Is Not Open. Today I thought maybe I'll give it another try . The restaurant had an empty table in the back. I told the waitress I could sit there and was informed that that is the Owners Table. Beautiful cafe in the heart of Blue Ash. The cafe was buzzing with customers when we arrived. Lucky us, we found a table outside and where seated promptly. We where impressed with the friendly staff and really good food. I checked out the inside of the cafe while we where there and was impressed how clean the cafe was- despite the customer rush. Finally got to try out this cute corner place in Montgomery! A bit of a wait on Sunday morning (post church rush), but got seated after some tables got bussed. The pastries were fresh baked in house and toasted up before served (chefs kiss croissant), and my husband and I enjoyed our breakfast wrap and sandwiches. They were kind enough to bring some milk in a cup for my toddler and tolerate her mild exploration around inside as well. Will be stopping by for an easy weekend brunch! read more

Outstanding Brunch! I cannot believe we have lived so close to hear so long and have never been here for brunch. The food was so great!! You can tell this is a locally owned European cafe and market. We could have gone wild with dessert - but we came for brunch today. I cannot say enough good things about the food. My husband got the blt plus e. He enjoyed it so much. He wanted to lick his fingers. I got the black bean burrito. I wanted to keep eating but couldn't finish it - it was sooooo good. I noticed everyone was "cleaning their plates." Italian imported espresso with tremendous flavor and subtle finish. Very friendly staff including the owner who chatted with me for a few minutes about her cafe. I ordered the egg and cheese sandwich with turkey sausage and it was delicious! Fresh and tasty with a flaky, buttery croissant. Highly recommend this cafe for a true European feel. Small plates, but super delicious. Coffee and espresso drinks are always delicious. The staff is super friendly and goes out of their way to interact with you. It can get busy on the weekend, so try to arrive early, but it's an excellent small cafe vibe on an early morning. read more

I stopped by here yesterday to carry out breakfast. There's a small parking lot behind the restaurant with parking, as well as street parking. There are tables and chairs in front and to the side of the restaurant for use when weather permits. I walked into a bright, welcoming space. There are chairs near the window to wait for your order or to wait for a table. The menu was on the counter, and I had a hard time deciding! Finally, I went with the breakfast burrito. With the baked goods displayed right next to the counter where I ordered, I couldn't resist ordering a blueberry scone! While I waited I noticed breads on a rack for sale. I snagged the last bag of Blue Oven English muffins :o). The woman who helped me brought over my scone in a bag with a napkin and said that it was still warm from the oven! That made my wait even more enjoyable. I took my breakfast home and thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast burrito stuffed with turkey sausage, egg, cheese, potato and mild salsa. There was also a small container of extra salsa. I will definitely be back! read more

The outside and inside is adorable. I got the homemade coffee cake, caramel latte, and a bacon egg and cheese croissant. It was very good, however it was a little pricy for the portions but I understand quality food can be expensive. Their espresso machine is impressive! Next time I think I'd skip the food and just get baked goods and coffee! I'd maybe come back if they added pancakes or waffles to their menu :) read more

We frequented the old European Cafe and were excited for this remodel/reopening. We heard mixed reviews and, unfortunately, experienced the not-so-good. The coffee was delish, but the server was completely put off when we requested a food modification. Now, I realize modifications can get out of hand, but this was a simple request. My daughter asked for the sausage patty that came with her sausage/egg/cheese sandwich to be put on the side rather than on the sandwich. The server checked with the kitchen and they OK'ed it. But when we went to pay, we had been charged $4 for a side of meat, making my child's breakfast sandwich cost $13 (no fruit or drink included). What's worse is that we were not informed of this ahead of time. So I explained that we had not ordered a side of meat, which the server acknowledged. She then told us "the woman who runs the restaurant wants it to be done this way." Ok. Between the average food and the completely bizarre interaction regarding the food modification, we will not be back. read more

Last year we stopped for breakfast on a weekend and it was delicious. On Valentine it was our anniversary, we were very disappointed on how early they stopped serving breakfast on a weekdays. Lunch was okay nothing to brag about, but service was terrible. No water or napkins. Asked twice for a glass of water and napkins never brought the napkins to our table. It was a slow morning so it's not like it was super busy. We also waited 15 min for a table and only 3 tables were being used. Not sure I'll return, we were so looking forward to the first experience we had. Maybe it's better on weekends? read more

Love this little spot! Clean bright and friendly staff. Their food is absolutely delicious and so are their coffees. Everything is fresh and made to order. I appreciated the quick service. Todays visit was extra special when I opened the bag to take a bite of my sandwich there was a delicious cookie inside. A pleasant surprise that brightened my day. Stopped in here for a quick bite while on a work trip and fell absolutely in love! Ambiance and service was quaint and outstanding! Ordered the biscuits and gravy a la cart with a side of fruit and it was perfect! Biscuit was the perfect amount of fluff and demanded, the gravy with pork sausage was seasoned perfectly, so smooth and creamy yet not too heavy.
