I was walking by this afternoon and stopped to look at the menu. I saw 'Chicken Pot Pie', and had to go in; I'm glad I finally decided to try it out! I love chicken pot pies - I'm not sure why. I make my own with Pillsbury pie shells on the top and bottom, and a whole rotisserie chicken inside! I knew when I sat down I was going to get the chicken pot pie, but needed a side. The Mac and Cheese sounded perfect.....and it was. I got both dishes at the same time, but let's start with the Mac and Cheese. When it came I was surprised and apprehensive to see large rigatoni pasta - not the standard shells. My first bite dispelled any concern I might have had; it was heavenly! The pasta was cooked perfectly-tender but not too soft. But the highlight of this dish (of course) is the cheese....or should I say cheeses. Rouge uses a four cheese blend - cheddar - cream cheese - Cooper sharp - and Chihuahua - a mild Mexican cheese. The combination is so creamy and flavorful, I didn't want to stop eating it...but I had to....if I wanted to have room for the 'Pie'. I put the Mac and Cheese to the side, and went to 'cut in' to the Chicken Pot Pie. The 'pie' was on the top - a biscuit floating on a bed of broth, chicken and vegetables. It had an amazing golden color with several layers - I couldn't wait to try it. I went to cut it, and since it was literally floating on top, it dipped down and the gravy from the little pot started flowing over...logistics issues at dinner! It was a little strange, but after I was able to cut some of the biscuit into the pot it all came together. The biscuit was flaky and tender - the broth was flavorful with large pieces of chicken breast and vegetables. It was truly a delicious Chicken Pot Pie. I was able to eat the whole Pie, but couldn't finish the Mac and Cheese...which I took home. It was a delightful meal with two unique dishes I'll look forward to having again!

If you know, you know, that French butter hits differently. And the Moroccan Breakfast is something I never had before. It is served with baguette so you can soak up all the sauce. The tomatoes were perfect without being too tart. The spice was not too overpowering and the eggs...again perfect! Also had their mocha latte and wow, they use real dark chocolate.
