Two of our friends who've recently been to Morocco frequent this restaurant and suggested we go there, knowing we're also keen on Moroccan cuisine after our 2016 trip there. Arriving before six, we were seated immediately and ordered within mere minutes due to the quintessentially concise menu (and the fact that our friends had tried everything on it). The ambiance is wonderful; its soft colors and textures imbue one with relaxation. For starters, we selected the Flavors of Morocco appetizer. It was excellent, but a bit blander than expected. For mains, I ordered the Chicken Tagine; my wife went with the vegetarian version. The Chicken Tagine was unbelievably tender and moist, with subtle seasoning--quite the opposite of what I experienced in Morocco. My wife absolutely loved her Vegetarian Berber Tagine. Our repeat customer friends each had the Candied Chicken Tagine, their favorite. Three out of four of us opted for the Coffee and Sweets selection, comprising three mini-Napoleons. Only one really piqued my palate; the other two were both very sweet. Next time I'll get the Date and Walnut cake, which was spectacular. It's also big enough for sharing.

Very pretty ambiance. Fresh flowers on all tables, and with today's weather in the high 70s, the outside patio seating was a dream come true. Owner and staff is friendly and chatty. However we were quite underwhelmed by the food. We got the Moroccan eggs, Lemon chicken sandwich, Lavender latte, Hot chocolate and the Date Walnut cake. The Moroccan eggs lacked salt and any flavor, pretty much tasted like tomatoes and eggs. The chicken as well as the bread in the Lemon chicken sandwich was the driest I have ever had and it didn't have any flavor to it. My husband had to put the tomato gravy from the eggs onto the sandwich to make it palatable. Hot chocolate barely had any chocolate, it was mildly sweetened which I prefer but it was mostly milk with a hint of chocolate. I hate wasting food but the Date walnut cake was so dry that we could barely eat it after maybe forcing 50% of it down our throats. I am not sure what went wrong - was it a bad day or maybe we ordered the wrong items because all the other reviews are glowing and seem like most people enjoy the food here. How I wish my experience was better but unfortunately that wasn't the case. Edit: The owner was sweet enough to reach out and explain some issues they encountered in the kitchen today. I just want put a disclaimer that every restaurant has good and bad days. My review is just a personal opinion based on my experience today. What I can do is request everyone reading this to not let their decision to dine here be influenced by it. I hope to come back and try their food again.

Cute Moroccan and French cafe! Croissants both sweet and savory served in the front as well as macaroons. Seating area in the back. We got the savory flakey croissant with ham and eggs- would recommend!

Sofi Corner Cafe offers a warm and inviting ambiance that beautifully blends French and Moroccan influences. The quaint cafe features yellow velvet booths, mosaic-tiled tables, and a cozy outdoor patio decorated with fresh flowers, creating an atmosphere that's both intimate and vibrant . This is an order and pay at the counter and have things delivered to your table. We sat in the outdoor patio, benefited by a low humidity, 70 degree , breezy day and it was heavenly! Moroccan eggs are beautifully done. The Croque Monsieur is delightful and the Dubai chocolate croissant is decadent beyond belief. Really great place. Easily the cleanest restroom for sure, bonus.

The food was delicious and the place itself is gorgeous. We went with a group of 4 and everyone loved what they got. How it works is that you order at the counter and sit down with your number. We had a little blunder where they kept bringing us out the wrong dish, but the owner/manager was very kind and compensated us with a dessert.

I visited with a group of four on Saturday brunch, and the spot lives up to its name as one of the most aesthetic sites in the Gayborhood! You enter from one side to order, then it's a seat-yourself process afterwards in its indoor space. The menu itself has great variety, from pastries and sandwiches to salads and notable French-Moroccan inspired dishes. My order was the Croque Monsieur, which was accompanied by a side salad. I thought my dish was delicious, but felt the prices were on the higher end for the portion size. Their pastries were tasty and I think are more worth the purchase if you're looking for a quicker, small bite. The only setback about our experience was that we weren't told our Parisian bread basket included an almond croissant, which was unfortunate since one of our friends had a nut allergy. The menu listed a butter croissant, and we were told we couldn't substitute and had to order a new pastry, which was a letdown. I think being able to share what's included would be very helpful in advance, since my friend did ask about nut content in the other dishes. Overall, Sofi Corner Cafe makes for a great conversational and brunch spot with an ideal aesthetic. However, expect to run a bit higher on the budget if you're planning for coffee and a full dish.

Wonderful spot we visited for brunch on a Saturday. The inside is well decorated and cozy. Service is friendly and fantastic. You can order and pay at the counter, grab a number and have a seat at a table when it becomes available. The food is brought to you when ready. There is a good selection of food including vegetarian and gluten free options if desired. I tried the feta spinach croissant which was fresh, flaky and hot. People were also having tea and miniature pastries which looked delectable. I'll definitely be back to try more another time.

Moroccan food meets Philadelphia. This cozy yet delicious restaurant is a must try! We've been eyeing f it up for the past 2 weeks and every time we walk by it's packed! After about a 30 minute wait, we were able to get a table for 2! We had items off of the lunch menu and they were so good! The meat was deliciously seasoned and covered in a rich sauce. We also had a pot of mint tea and it was the perfect way to end our meal!

Charming little cafe with excellent food. We had the Moroccan eggs for breakfast, served with a fresh baguette and a side salad.Only one person working as chef and waiter makes it a little slower than optimal but it still was a very good experience.

food: 4/5 - the food we selected were great. Loved the morrocan egg; great texture and enough portion for sharable. - Croque Madame - can def taste the butteriness of the toast. The cheese and ham gave a perfect compliment. Just wished they gave more ham -moroccan mint tea - not cup of tea, no pun intended. It's a good experience to try tho. They have self serve honey/sugar for you to add on. Service: 5/5 - good. The front desk person were knowledgeable and able to provide a few recommendations. Ambiance: 6/5 - absolutely love it. The colors, decor, and furnitures all go together.

We came here on a Saturday night and I just want to start off by praising the staff that evening, they were very attentive and made us feel welcomed. The food was delicious but the portions were very small for the price. The one app combo had one scoop of each eggplants salad and regular salad. Few bites of veggies for $19. We got the lamb couscous, fish tajine and lamb tajine, they were all good but again, $30 plus for a dish is a bit much. Additionally, the place was VERY cold, we kept our jackets on while dining which isn't ideal. Overall it was a good experience.

Second time here and feel like it got better. I have only been here at off hours so I imagine it can get really crowded during peak times and it is only a small space, especially when cold and can't sit outside. Honestly some of the most tasty food I have had in the area.

This was my first time actually trying it and it definitely lived up to the hype of the Yelp reviews. My wrap had chicken, hummus, lettuce, and feta, and it was so delicious. My chicken was very good, very tender and seasoned well. It also had a great creamy hummus to tie all the other ingredients together. The feta added just enough saltiness to balance out the rest of the flavors. All of the ingredients were very fresh, and my wrap was extremely soft, yet still maintained its form completely as I ate. I also ordered a Nutella hot chocolate. It was delicious! It was my fist time having a Nutella hot Chocolate. I usually just get a normal hot chocolate. The pita chips served as an additional side item with this sandwich and proved to be quite enjoyable. The pita chips had a good crunch and were able to pair with the wrap very well. I ended up eating all of the pita chips! It was a great lunch and I enjoyed my wrap! I would likely order from Café Square One again in the future, especially, if that wrap is still on their menu!
