Had no idea this cafe existed. Has a really quite extensive menu for the size of the establishment. Saw some folks drinking root beer floats which is very fun. Decor is something out of a 1950s Americana /grandmas living room/Cracker Barrel fever dream which is kitschy and fun and interesting to stare at as you try to choose a sandwich. Service was kind and attentive and they bus the food to your seat. Would def make a repeat visit esp to sit out in their spacious outdoor patio space.

I stumbled across this place on Yelp and was perplexed by its description that I had to drive out to North Hollywood and check it out. It's the cutest and quaintest little spot. It's a bit quirky too but in all the best ways. The people working there are absolutely precious... so kind and warm. The atmosphere is welcoming and rustic. I adore the outside garden patio on a perfect La Day . My fave part- the food. Sandwiches and so satisfying. The SOUP is scrumptious. They even season the raw veggies to perfection. On Tuesdays they have an open mic night for comics. How fun. Check it out and support local businesses!

Great food, great service, and such a cool vibe! I had the muffuletta and it was delicious. Will be coming back!

LOVE this place for sandwiches. Healthy and everything is so fresh. I love the filling ingredients. I only have two pictures but I've tried so many items on the menu and everything is as delicious as the other. The place is very cute it looks antique with a cute patio outside that feels like you're in a garden and the employees are nice. Will be coming here for a while.

Never ever had a chance to use one of these antique toilets.

One of those hidden little gems. Been here since 1996!! Service was so good, super attentive and charming gals. Great place for lunch and snacks. Coffee and smoothies available. Home-made cookies!! Seating is plentiful and there IS Wi-Fi available if you wanna come hang and get some work done.

I've been coming to Cahuenga General Store for over a decade. My most recent visit this past April was the best yet. We ordered two sandwiches, the New Yorker (roast beef, ham, and cheddar) and the Bleu Bird (sliced chicken, bacon, bleu cheese, Swiss, caramelised onions, and tart apple slices. Both were served on warm French rolls with a raw veg mix of carrots and cucumbers, salted and peppered. One may select a bag of chips instead of the crudités when ordering. The New Yorker was excellent, but the Bleu Bird was superb. The bread and the chicken were so good, and I don't even like Swiss or bacon, but they elevated the flavour of the sandwich rather than overpowering it, complemented by the crisp, juicy apple. We also ordered a bottled root beer and a lemonade. The lemonade was made from scratch right in front of us, and was perfectly tart-sweet and refreshing. We sat outside on the patio, which was breezy and shady on a typical April SoCal day. Hummingbirds and butterflies buzzed by. The pleasant and efficient waitstaff brought everything out to us when it was ready. We had the patio to ourselves on an April Thursday. There is indeed an old-timey-looking "general store" inside - an 1800s Wild West aesthetic with antique items on display, and a few products like pretty notecards available for purchase. I'm not sure about parking as we live within walking distance, but on a weekday, there should be some street parking available right in front.

    Cute & cozy inside

Such a cozy little gem! Their menu items taste fresh, clean, & homemade. Front desk girls are always sweet! We all love their sandwiches & salads for its simplicity. I always pre order over the phone & pick up.

And the generous side of caesar dressing is the very BEST I've ever had. Wish I could have saved it and slathered it on everything. The Turk sando was very good, but more like a 4/5. Solid fillings and good ratios, but not a WOWER. Added chips and 2 desserts: the chocolate chip cookie which was outrageous, loaded with chocolate in every bite, and the lemon olive oil cake was divine. Pro tip: do not skip out on the desserts. Our order was accurate and pickup was easy. Prices were fair. Will visit again, especially for the wraps.

One of the seasonal specials is the Martha which is an upgraded version of chicken salad (Tarragon chicken salad, apples, shaved fennel, arugula, basil, lemon, garlic aioli on grilled Ciabatta, $16) which sounded pretty good. I placed the order online and headed over to this busy section of Studio City. Street parking can be tricky especially in the afternoon, and there are 'parking ticketers' out in force. This was my first time here at this location, but they had a handy takeout window at the one end, and a friendly guy handed me the bag. As for the food, I could only eat half of the sandwich; one reason is because it was a Lot of sandwich and second, I didn't really enjoy this for the most part (I did give the other half to a hungry co-worker who did like it). Then my favorite part, the cookies. I ordered two orders (two come in an order) so I had four to enjoy. The first bag was a decent sized pair of cookies, but they shafted me on the second order. This was basically one cookie cut to make two which was clearly noticeable compared to the other order. I was too far to return these but next time, it's something I will check on before leaving. I didn't have this problem the first time I came here (even though it was a different location) but as for anything, I recommend checking your order prior to leaving. Otherwise, I will be returning to Ggiata but maybe for a classic Turk or Antonia, or even the arancini side-

We grabbed two breakfast sandwiches, one with bacon and one without, and both were standout in their own way. The first thing you notice? These sandwiches come out piping hot, wrapped tight and ready to go. Crack them open and you're hit with perfectly cooked eggs and an almost ridiculous amount of gooey, melted cheese. Not skimpy, not balanced, loaded in the best possible way. The Kaiser roll deserves its own shoutout: lightly toasted with just enough crunch on the outside while staying soft and pillowy inside. It holds everything together without getting soggy, even with all that cheese. * The meat version had crispy, flavorful bacon layered just right, salty, smoky, and not overdone. * The meatless one didn't feel like a compromise at all, still rich, filling, and honestly just as indulgent thanks to the cheese and eggs. No frills, no gimmicks, just classic deli breakfast sandwiches executed really well. Bottom line: If you want a hot, cheesy, perfectly toasted breakfast sandwich that actually hits the spot, Paulie's is a win. I can't wait to go back for lunch!

One week night I came by with my sis. I've been craving a good burger. It didn't have to be fancy or had anything specific or special about it. Just a plain good ol cheeseburger. Although they did have the Stand Burger I changed it up just a tad and went for the ABC. Got adventurous and added an extra patty. Sis asked me if my craving for the burger has been killed. I told her that I am happy about having a burger but I messed up adding the extra patty and the craving is still on. Adding the extra patty made the burger feel dry and it was just too much. It wasn't you, it was me. The other night I was with my nieces and suggested to go to The Stand. I wanted redemption for my mistake. Thought what was missing last time was probably a slice of cheese accompanying that extra patty. This visit, I ordered the Havarti Shroom Burger: added extra patty, added cheese. I asked the cashier if its possible to have the cheese on top of the extra patty and explained it just like "cheese, patty, cheese, patty, medium cooked". They looked confused but seemed to have made it happen? Order arrived and it the burger came cheese, cheese, patty, patty, well done. I didn't want to bother trying to correct the order and just went with it. One of the niece was smart enough to tell me to flip the bottom patty so now its patty, cheese, cheese, patty. That didn't really help. lol It wasn't me this time, it was you. All in all I am in a loss with adding extra patty at The Stand. Guys, don't do it.
