We are on vacation here and people said in anchorage must try couple of the seafood and tiger shrimp is one of the food that you must try ... .. so find this place with 4.4 ... and when we look at the picture is so very nice . So we expecting here must outstanding the seafood should be fresh because it's nearby ocean . So we find this place have tiger shrimp. In Google shows very nice picture and very attractive so we keep a chance to there . But we feel disappointed. We ordered tiger shrimp but not sure is that a tiger shrimp it feels like regular shrimp and the sauce are tasted but too salty . We order a Jambalaya W/Chicken & Andouille um definitely not recommend . Service : nice service with great smile. Ambiance : antique I can see the owner put a lot of time to decoration this cozy cafe . Love it . If you are looking for seafood, I'm not recommend in this place ... maybe something else or just a drink that would be cool. read more

Overall, the seafood was good and the restaurant has a nice atmosphere. $180 for the platter and $300+ for the family feast. So be aware of the prices, some are market-price too so just be prepared. One of the server needs just a little bit more training.. but she made it up by being attentive and always checking on us. Amazing food, large portions for cheap!! Me and my family came to Anchorage for a short trip and visited this restaurant. One Cajun Corner platter fed 5 hungry adults, just the right amount of food. One family platter could feed 8-10 people says Shannon the owner, and I believe it! Some of us are from the south and this is STILL some of the best seafood boils any of us have ever had. The andoullie sausage is by far the best I have ever had. Everything is made fresh daily, the only thing imported is the crawdads due to local regulations. We stopped in for dinner for our last night in Alaska. Honestly, I was super disappointed. We started with an order of Cajun fries for the table, but there was no Cajun seasoning! It was just salt and pepper. Then our meals arrived and my plate was covered in chips. Like, completely covered! I asked for another plate that wasn't covered in chipped plastic ... and was handed another plastic plate that had lots of chips in it. I then specifically asked for a ceramic dish (like my husband had received). The employee walked away without a word, so I wasn't sure what was going to happen. A few minutes later she did return with a ceramic dish. The whole situation just left a bad taste in my mouth. I did enjoy all the memorabilia and open windows. While there I also noticed how uneven dishes were coming out. One customer ordered just a few minutes after our table did, yet he received his food when we were walking out! read more

Don't skip this. Came off of two weeks sampling crab on a cruise at multiple stop including Tracy's in Juneau. The aroma drew me in and the king crab was perfect. Pair that with a slice of cake that is going to live rent free in my head for a long time. P.S they also taught us about dipping crab in balsamic which was a game changer! The picture showed is jambalaya and if you have had jambalaya before you know it looks very... different then what's pictured. For $20 as well I'd say that's kind of a stretch. It was steamed rice with yellow and red peppers. The chicken was okay and the sausage tasted like charred reindeer sausage? I'm not sure. Regular jambalaya consists of chicken, andouille sausage, celery, onion, and green bell pepper. It was very disappointing flavor and price wise. The service here is really spotty. When I came on 9/10/21, we sat here for 20 minutes and...no one ever served us. I came here yesterday, and service was fast and friendly until it came time to pay, I never got the check so I just walked up to the counter. When I came here on 9/10/21 the beers were $6. Now they are $9, a 50% increase. The beers are pretty ho-hum with lots of them being from the incredibly mediocre Alaskan Brewing out of Juneau. I got the jambalaya and it was very good! The jambalaya and catfish are really the only single-person dishes. Everything else is ala carte and/or very expensive. There is a bucket that costs $150, but only feeds 2-3 people. If you really like jambalaya, definitely give this place a shot! Otherwise, it just kind of feels like a tourist trap. read more

We ordered the shrimp and cat fish, both were cooked spot on, shrimp was juicy and plump. The Catfish was also cooked very well. We were seated as soon as we walked in and the server was very helpful and attentive. When you walk in you catch the the seafood/boat dock theme. Nets stretching across the ceiling and ship wheels on the walls. The staff are wearing flannel shirts reminiscent of boat hands checking on guests inside and in there outdoor seating area. I cannot say enough good things about our experience at Cajun Corner. Firstly, the customer service was top-tier. We were helped by the owner Shannon and she also was the cook and I cannot thank her enough for her incredible service. And now, the FOOD! Wow! Absolutely mouth watering. I had never heard of this places before until we were recommended to check it out. We wanted a little bit of everything on the menu so we ordered the platter. It came with crab legs, crawfish, shrimp, corn, sausage, and potatoes. Everything was so flavorful! We used the side of bread to soak up all the buttery goodness as well. We finished off our meal with 2 slices of cake. Lemon w/ chocolate frosting and a German chocolate slice. The cakes were so moist . The decor was pleasant and the owner nice enough but this food does not resemble cajun food in any way, shape or form. Thank God I asked to taste the red beans after the owner conveyed she had added her "special twist". They were undercooked and, upon inquiry, she confirmed she'd added sugar. . The jambalaya did not have andouille sausage and somehow, the garlic bread was simultaneously soggy AND burned. Another inquiry confirmed she'd never been to South Louisiana. I opted for the safer fried catfish (not really Cajun) and that was good. In lieu of tarter sauce, I was offered their own "special sauce". I doubled down on my tartar sauce request and learned they had none. Who serves catfish without tartar sauce? We asked for "to go" cutlery and gave our food to a homeless man. Excellent food! We went to 49th State for their Halloween festival but then our toddlers started getting antsy. We were originally just going to drive home and eat lunch at home, but then we saw Cajun Corner across the street and decided to try it out. We were so glad we did! My husband and I split the 4 piece fried catfish with rice and beans. Both had a delicious depth of flavor, particularly the rice and beans. The catfish came with a flavorful and semi-spicy dipping sauce. We also ordered the lobster dip as an appetizer and that was excellent as well. It came with toasted bread that had great flavor and was not overly cooked/crunchy like dipping bread can easily be. The jambalaya sounded fantastic but, sadly, they had already sold out for the day. The woman who owned the restaurant also worked as a chef and a server and did a wonderful job in all her roles. I don't typically give 5 star reviews, but if you're in Anchorage, this is definitely a place to add to your list. We will definitely be back. Hopefully next time we will be able to taste the jambalaya before it sells out! read more
