When they brought our food, we each had garlic bread instead of cornbread. The menu said 9 shrimp and 8 oysters. We got 8 and 7. Complained to waiter and they did bring us one more of each. Soooo, count your food before you eat. They serve the green salad in the basket with sides and entree. Would have been much better separate. Music should have been cajun music. I have eaten crawfish at a lot of places. Last night we had Rockfish, and it was really good. As a matter of fact we liked it so much, we wanted it again tonight! When we called to place a to-go order they said they had sold out. We started looking for other places that had live, fresh, crawfish and found Cajun Corner! I was a little reluctant since the reviews are mixed but we ordered anyway (thank goodness)! We ordered 4 pounds. 2 pounds of medium and 2 of spicy...WOAH spicy! Not only did they taste good, they were AMAZING! I would say they were even better than Rockfish! They were very spicy but in a very addicting way. For the price this is a fine Cajun restaurant. I had the seafood combo. The fried items were light and flaky but less flavorful than it could have been. I ordered the seafood gumbo but seem to receive something closer to etoufee. Perhaps the waitress misunderstood my order. Even as etoufee it could only be called average. My friend had the red bean and sausage soup. This was hearty and tasty. It definitely earned a second look. Perhaps further visits will reveal better offerings. read more

Great service and great food. I love their boiled crawfish. I also really like their fried pickles (totally not healthy). It comes with ranch and it hot and they give you a huge serving. I like their now location a lot more than their old location, although I do miss Mijos (they closed down and now Cajun corner used the building). I'm excited about this new location though. Unique and tasty seasoning for crawfish. I always have to have whenever I'm close. It always makes me miss my favorite crawfish place from when I lived in Nawlins. This restaurant is super convenient to UTA although the wait for the food is a little long. I've only ate their shrimp po boy and shrimp étouffée which are decent. The first time I went the food and service was ok, but the second time I went convinced me to never go again. The service left something to be desired. I went with another person and after a long wait I was served my meal at least 5-10 minutes before they got their food. This special clearly states that EVERYDAY when you buy 5 pounds you get the 6th free and on WEDNESDAYS crawfish are $6.49 a pound. This is absolutely not the case. You will be charged $7.99 a pound of you order the buy 5 get one free. I tried very politely to explain to the owner that this is not what the special reads and how to correct it so that others would not be upset by the confusion that her board reads. SHE RAN TO THE FRONT DOOR AND LOCKED EVERYONE INSIDE THE RESTAURANT. She said that she did this because I said I was not going to pay my bill, which again was not the case, I said I would pay the bill with the special pricing that that was clearly advertised. I have never been treated with such disrespect and ugliness at a business while trying to help them fix a problem they would consistently have with other customers due to a language barrier and not understanding that their advertisement was portraying something different than what they would honor. The seafood gumbo is really good, it fills me up easily. my favorite is Cajun shrimp pasta!!! It has right amount of favor, and seasoning with a bit of spicy in it. The employees are nice, but the food can take a while to make and I wouldn't recommend to go there when you're already hungry cause then you will be hangry. Frauds, I went in and saw crawfish on billboard and menu asked if they had crawfish in and if they were good, all confirmed by water who smelled like old shrimp. He brought out slimy,smelly, old, froozen crawfish. Terrible and the smell impossible to get off on'es hands. I eat crawfish in several states each year and these were the worse ever, the worse smelling waiter, when I complained, they showed me a bus card with written on back , crawfish are frozen. While I was there a lady complained about her catfish being dry and the place smelled of rooting seafood. Came here last Friday and ordered medium spicy garlic butter crawfish with a side of fries. I usually come almost once every year during crawfish season. I have always been satisfied with their crawfish especially their buy 5 pounds get one pound free deal. I usually could handle spicy and felt that the medium level had a good amount of a spicy kick. It took a little while to get our food because they actually cook it after you order. I got one catfish fillet (delicious and steaming hot) with a hush puppy along with a small bowl of crawfish etoufee. It was all just delicious and the "secret" Cajun corner sauce really added a tasty amount of heat. My husband got red beans and rice with extra sausage on the side. He loved it and he is a spicy guy. The table next to us ordered boiled shrimp and crawfish. It looked and smelled amazing. Can't wait to go back. It will be a regular spot for us. I believe I have found my favorite shrimp po' boy....EVER! It is so simply...basic bread, lettuce, pickles, tomato & fried shrimp, but the taste is solo not simply. Horrible! I have passed this place many times and thought I would give them a try. I ordered a bowl of Red beans and Rice. I was told it would take 5-9 minutes (?). It took about 5 min, I got my food and drove to Tom Thumb, 2 blocks away. I wanted to get a taste so I opened my order and found it to be 1) soupy and watery. Then I stirred it to find it was 2) made with kidney beans and not the smaller red beans. THEN as I stirred some more, I found 3) a FLY in this soupy, nasty mess! You're OUT. I took this back to the store and advised the cashier, who said she will show it to the chef and returned my money. Sorry apology, no manager concern, and the chef never even looked at it. 1st and last trip there. I don't think they even realize how Cajun red beans are supposed to look, or be prepared. As a native Texan with family still living deep in Louisiana Cajun country, I could eat boudin balls, crawfish, and gumbo for every meal. If you are familiar with good Cajun cooking, look elsewhere. I had fried crawfish tails which appeared to have no spices at all let alone Cajun spicey. The first item on the menu (egg rolls) is a tip off that it is not a genuine Cajun eatery. One of my favorite Cajun places! It's close! It's never too crowded! And the taste is just amazing! Every now and then when I get in the crawfish craving I come here order a pound and leave. But one day I wanted to test how much I could eat in once sitting. I found that to be 5lbs! Mmm soo good! The seasoning really sticks onto the seafood and I don't think the price is that bad.
