The service was pretty fast, and food made fresh it the plate was HOT (which I don't mind I prefer hot food over cold). Ive always came here when I used to work in Arlington, I came from Seattle to come visit family and decided to stop by my favorite chicken and rice place. I didn't go inside but the atmosphere seemed about the same as always, just quiet and relaxing without that many kids yelling. This was my family and I first time here. Everything was going good until I got home and there was no sauce that I asked for. And I asked for 3 pice dark. And I got a leg thigh and a breast. My breast was still red in the middle. And my fries was still raw. And in my husband's food he has hair or something on the fries. I also ordered a small frie for my daughter and she was like ewww no like like and she loves fries. I couldn't even take a pic of my food because I was so disappointed. Went into the restaurant today to place a Togo order for Uber eats and they had a customer at the counter picking up food with no mask on or even with him! An employee behind the counter walking around up front and in back with his mask as a chin guard! Absolutely delicious. Fresh ,hot, and cooked just right. Luci's is my favorite place to get chicken tenders. Cream gravy is just right.

I will give this place 1 star because I can't give it less. I ordered a 10 piece chicken with fries and the chicken should've been mixed, but there are only 4 pieces of white meat that when old and dried up and the rest was dark which should've been more even. The French fries were cold,half burnt and Uneditable. I also ordered 5 piece chicken tenders and fries. Those were very old and fries stale. I don't know it until I got home with the food. This was around 5:45 so you would think the food would be fresh. This is the 3rd we have tried them. We will not go there again even though it is close to home. It is really sad because it was pretty good about 4 years ago. Lesson learned. read more

So this place is like Chicken Express with an Asian twist, mostly being the fried rice. The place is set up like a gas station convenience store drink selection with a fast food joint but smaller. Nice staff and seating. The combination fried rice was delicious, with huge chunks of chicken and chunks of fried shrimp. The chicken was slightly salty, but the rice balanced it out in a bite. The chicken tenders looked just like Chicken Express tenders. Same breading texture. But it didn't have the same crunch or fresh off the fryer taste and tenderness as Chicken Express. Service was really fast. Less than 5 mins to get my whole order ready. This place satisfied a craving combination I didn't know existed, until now. Can't wait to try their other fried rice options and fried chicken. read more

I went here for lunch, they have a really big menu but this is basically one of those places that locals go to they sell sodas and beers from store part. I got fish nuggets and soda with fries and rice. Took about 15 minutes to get but it was a ton of food for 6 dollars and they have free refills. I thought the fish tasted really good, fries were good and rice was okay. I'd definitely go again and try some other things. read more

I was working in the area and looking for a quick place to eat close by and Luci's turned out to the closest. Never even heard of it before even though I've driven past it so no real expectations one way or the other. Ordered the 8 piece hot wings with two sides. Took about 8-10 minutes but the food was piping hot. Spice level on the wings wasn't very high but they were freshly cooked and chicken was very juicy. They are a bit on the small size but for the price ($7) I wasn't expecting them to be huge. Side of rice was really good, mashed potatoes and gravy was okay, definitely came from a box. Not haute cuisine but really wasn't expecting that for the price either. For what they charge, the food is pretty good. Restaurant was very clean on a Sunday afternoon, employees attentive and friendly. A step up above the fast food joints in the area. read more

Wow..never ate here before but by far extremely good!! I ordered Aloha Shrimp fried rice and it was beyond full!! The rice, veges, and shrimp were hot and fresh the pinapple came through lightly (though i like a lot of pinaepple) and the taste was good. We arrived to a line of people and i thought for sure our wait would be long and food probably cold or luke warm. To my pleasant surprise we were in and out in about 10min with piping hot food. Definitely will return again..and the price not bad for my family of 5! read more

I used to get food from here often. Last time i did i ordered 5 pc catfish and 2 large sides. The lady in the car next to me was yelling that she had been there waiting over 30 minutes for her chicken. They deliver the food to the car. The girl put the bags in the passenger side door. I pull off. Get to Mansfield (18 miles from luci's) open my bags and it is chicken, not catfish? It was the yelling lady's food. I call Luci's, ask for the manager. An oriental lady says she is manager. I tell what happened. She stated the lady was angry and can i bring her food back because they are having to re- cook her order. 1st off i am 18 miles away... So no I am not driving back. 2nd are you really going to give this food to someone else when i bring it back? Ok she says, i will write your name on your receipt and keep it for next time you come in we will replace your order. I go today and they called me a liar! Saying that never happened? ( the lady I'm talking to, i recognize her voice. It's her! Oh no she says, not me. She calls the male manager and i told my story. He calls me a liar! They will never get another red cent from me! And i hope anyone who goes there that your food had not already been sent home with someone else, brought back and given to you. read more

The food here is very good. I've had the chicken tender and the catfish plate. Both were very good. Now I'm trying the shrimp fried rice. The only problem I'm have with it, is the shrimp is breaded. I guess I should've expected that from a place that cooks mostly fried foods. read more

I had Luci's chicken fried rice and chicken for the first time last week. It was to die for!! The rice was flavorful and moist, the chicken was great. I couldn't wait to have it again. Saturday evening I wanted to try the shrimp fried rice and tenders....so disappointed, it was horrific. The rice was dry with no flavor and the shrimp was something fried and cut up. It definitely didn't look like OR taste like shrimp. It had no onions and very few vegetables. Never had shrimp fried rice ANYWHERE that looked like this. I also like how this place has it's own drink section that rivals a 7-11. Their canned cokes were three for like $1.60. Took about ten minutes to get my order though I noticed they have a drive through so I might try that next time. read more

Went to the one on Bowen just off Pioneer. Order speaker not working - employee finally came out and started taking orders from everyone behind me - ignoring me. Got to window - ordered combo with shrimp/rice and eggroll. Got home - no eggroll. Rice was OK - but not great. Shrimp in the rice was fried like they'd chopped up some leftovers. Definitely a step down from the Chicken Express that used to be at that location. read more

Haven't been to the Desoto location but the New York Avenue location in Arlington serves the best fried catfish fillets in the city, bar NONE! The spicy rice dishes are all excellent as well and if you are hankering for fried chicken fingers this is the place to get them. The other fried dishes on the menu are fairly pedestrian but the fried catfish and chicken fingers are among the best you will ever eat! Keep in mind this is not a sit down joint...it's more like a convenience store with a fast food counter in one side of the store, but' it is the BOMB as far as fried catfish goes! read more

My family and I went here last weekend after Church and it was a HORRIBLE experience. We sat in the car while my husband went in to order. It took them 35 minutes to get our food ready. It was not a difficult order. We ordered 24 pieces of mixed chicken and two sides with one drink. They completely ignored our order and kept filling other orders. I finally went in to ask why it was taking ao long and was told 'white meat takes longer than dark meat to cook." No fried chicken takes 35 minutes to cook. They gave our order to someone else!! I was so angry. All they offered was an I'm sorry, and another soda. The foodis good here, but the service sucked! read more

Never again! Every time we've been there the food has been just OK, but last night hit an all time low. First, we couldn't get the BBQ we wanted as Bodacious BBQ caved into AT&T Stadium and sold out their parking lot for parking for the Taylor Swift concert. Boo! Plan B, try Luci's again as it's close to home. Husband ordered tenders, fries, green beans, cole slaw, hush puppies and gravy. When he got home and we unpacked the food - no fries, no gravy, cole slaw was watery, green beans were cooked to mush and no seasoning, no hush puppies and the tenders were dried out and tough to chew. We've kept trying as we keep reading good reviews, but it has never lived up to the hype. After last night, never again. I'll stick with Jose's Fried Chicken on New York. Have never been disappointed there. read more
