Have eaten crawfish all over the Metroplex, and in our travels around the country. None of them rise to the level of the Cajun Corner where crawfish is concerned! Their garlic butter sauce really sets them apart from all others! On our last visit, several days ago, the Crawfish were huge, and the taste spot on! We have tried several of their appetizers with no disappointments. Many times we have tried crawfish at other places , just to see, and disappointed, have come straight here afterwards for the real thing! My first meal was blackened chicken Alfredo. It was neither blackened, warm or served with something that was likely chicken. It was hard and flat and tough. I sent it back and ordering a replacement proved to be difficult. They were willing to replace the meal but getting a new one out took two people to get it straight. I finally settled for a crawfish gumbo and ate very little. It just wasnt right. Thank goodness or I would have been up through the night like my husband. We will not be back. I've been here a few times and have no complaints. I only come for the boiled seafood. Flavor is ok. I don't believe the crawfish are live when their cooked. Maybe frozen and then cooked. The prices are a little bit more than market. I've paid $9.99 a LB for crawfish which is a little expensive compared to razoos or similar places. I don't mind paying a little more to support a small business. They have byob but be sure to call and get the specifics when bringing your own drink. I love this place, don't get me wrong. I come here all the time. But this specific visit, I was very unhappy. I order 1 lb of LIVE crawfish for 9.99. Pretty pricey for live but I wanted it so I got it and was super excited because it was live. When getting my order the crawfish was normal size which was fine it's early in the season. When taking the crawfish apart I noticed the shell was extremely soggy and hard to peel. The meat inside seemed brown, mushy, and more on the dry side. It wasn't overcooked because if it was it'd be tough instead of firm. I asked the server if I could take it back and get something else because it didn't seem like this was live. She told me it was live even though it tastes nothing like it. I eat crawfish too many times a week to not know the difference between live and not live. I asked her if I could return the crawfish and order something else because it's not good. She went to ask someone and came back and said there's nothing she can do... so okay I guess I'll eat this crawfish that does not taste live for 9.99. i went to this restaurant 2 days in a row when visiting from Houston because my friends and I typically have no issues and love the food! But both days i visited i had an issue, i personally work in the restaurant industry & know how accommodations work with them. Friday afternoon i ordered the boudin link with the "spicy" sauce which was too hot to even eat so i politely asked for one spice-level less, in which i was told no because "it's my fault that i ordered it" and after the server argued with me for about 5 minutes, she brought me what i initially asked for & when i was paying out she said "i tried the sauce and they did make it spicier today" the following saturday (today) i ordered cajun corner pasta to go before we headed back to Houston & when i opened the box 1, i ordered shrimp and crawfish, they gave me sausage and crawfish & 2, there was a dead fly in it. when i called the restaurant to see if my payment could be canceled since again, my food was inedible, and i was no longer in town. the manager told me no because they get scammed in instances like this (who scams for $15? idk either) and proceeded to hang up in my face. We went into this establishment with High Hopes as me and my wife both love Cajun food, once we entered we were greeted with a smile and sat down into one of the only open booths, We ordered the gator bites as an appetizer and we were very disappointed as there was no seasoning or flavor at all to be had. I don't even know where to begin with this place but here it goes.. Service: The service is friendly but nothing spectacular. I came here and ordered to go and we were in and out of there in a timely manner so I can't really complain. Food: The seafood fried rice was ok but kind of on the salty side. The combo platter, which included fried oysters, fried shrimp, and fried fish, was ok. The fries that it came with was super stale and the garlic toast was obviously frozen or just old. The chicken wings are clearly made with fish sauce and are definitely salty. The prices are pretty reasonable for the food that you get and the portions are average. This place is a definite must! Everything on their menu is good from their yolis pasta, crawfish fried rice, catfish platters, and obviously to their crawfish! Be careful though if you don't really eat spicy things like me you will wanna stay on the milder side of the spectrum because their hot will have you sweating gallons of water (speaking from experience)! They are good to order through for parties since they offer different types of party platters! I usually get the crawfish fried rice trays when I am having get together's or pot lucks! True story. Best crawfish in town. Super spicy and super fast. The price isn't the greatest but definitely worth it. They supply you with many different dipping sauces for your particular taste. And the crawfish is pretty huge (depending on the season). They also have another location on westbound Pioneer pkwy, between Collins St., and Daniel. Hooray, Cajun Corner! My friend's mom owns this restaurant, but this won't be a biased review. She's Vietnamese, so that's why they also serve Vietnamese dishes here as well. Best of both worlds, right? ;D Their cajun pasta is THE. BEST. THING. EVER. It's impossible to be disappointed in this. I'm telling ya. Order the pasta with crawfish. It's everything you will ever need in life. Just kidding, but it comes close. If you can't handle spicy foods like me, this pasta is spicy even when you get the lowest level of spice but it's soooo worth the burn in your mouth hahaha. Make sure you have a tall glass of water next to you. You'll need it. Their other pasta is the cajun fettuccine and that's delicious as well. The noodles used are longer, unlike the short rotini pasta (which is swirly) used in the cajun pasta and this dish comes with cuts of sausages. For the cajun pasta plate, you will receive their yummy garlic bread, crisp on the outside and extremely soft, fluffy, buttery, garlicy, golden middle. Cajun fettuccine has a plain, crunchy white bread. Smother either one with the cajun mayo or alfredo sauce spread on your plate for extra flavor. Their crawfish is pretty good. Nothing compared to Boiling Crab, but I'm not complaining. Especially when it's closer in proximity. Since eating crawfish gets your hands messy, bring your own gloves if you can. They charge $0.50 cents per pair of gloves and they look pretty thin so it might rip easily if you're not a graceful person lol. Service is consistently great. So we went back because that familiar hankering for copious fried goodness swept over us again...and we wanted to try the crawfish. Now, I had never eaten boiled crawfish before (the process of dissasembling the carcass has always intimidated me a little) but I was with some seasoned crawfish eaters so I was in good hands. Talking about hands, be prepared to have very sticky hands when you are done so I guess there is a minor deduction for a lack of provided wet naps. But they were quite tasty and spicy enough that you felt it but not overwhelmingly so. My crawfish afficianado dining companions were also impressed and their opinions are probably a little more valuable than mine. The size variations were a little annoying, there was probably a 50/50 mix of big meaty ones and little dinky ones that didn't have much junk in the trunk (i.e. meat in their tails.) The only other thing to note is that we ordered them as an appetizer and there is no set portion, you just have to order by the pound and when we asked him how much he thought would be good for 3 people, he said 3 pounds which soudned like ALOT for just a starter. So we got 2 pounds which I thought was perfect (although being a crawfish noob, I was much slower than the others and possibly didn't get my fair share, ahem.) OH and it's BYOB and they were nice enough to bring us a bucket of ice for our beer. And they brought ranch with the fried pickles this time without us even asking. And they still brought the A game on the fried stuff, I had fried fish, shrimp and oysters. The oysters were surprisingly huge and just as good as everything else. read more

First time I have ever been to this restaurant. My dad wanted Cajun food for his bday so we ventured here. The catfish is honestly the BEST catfish I have ever had. The 3 stars is because our service really stunk. I am really easy going when it comes to service, but we were sitting for over 10 minutes before someone came and asked for our drinks/food. I had the salmon and it was tasty, but much smaller than I anticipated. Most everyone at the table had the combo baskets which consisted of fried shrimp, okra, catfish, and popcorn shrimp. We also got an appetizer of calamari and fried pickles. I'm not a fried food fan myself, but none of it was greasy and every single dish had its own kind of breading for it. I like the fact that they don't just have one kind of breading for their fried dishes. I had the sweet potato fries on the side and I believe they were baked and they were delicious! Okay, there are a couple of things that absolutely, positively drive me CRAZY! Blaring the TV and the radio at the same time counts as one of those things. Having an identity crisis of whether you're a service restaurant or an order-at-the-counter restaurant is another. We were greeted (if you call it that) and seated, given menus, had order taken, food delivered, but that's it. Don't expect refills, ketchup, or silverware for that matter. It'd be a lot less confusing if orders were taken at the register and you seat yourself. Other than that - which REALLY jades my perception - the food is okay. We had fried pickles, which were fresh, crisp, but a little bland. I had the fried shrimp po' boy, and they give a TON of shrimp. Again, kinda bland. The bread was really good, though. Fries were cold. My bf got the red beans and rice, and was telling neighboring tables how good it was. He also liked their crawfish - they were a good size, but a little mild for his liking. It's craaaawfiiiish season! I've been to this location several times as well as the one on Pioneer. I like each for different reasons. The crawfish etouffe here is just ok. I like mine with more of a kick, the one served here seems lacking in flavor. (Lacking MSG I assume...so that might factor your decision and opinion) This one has livelier decor, but is smaller than the other. Service has always been good...sometimes we get an awkward waiter, but still no complaints here! But WOW! Fresh crawfish is the best and that's what they've got now! So run! At $6.95/lb it can't be beat. The meat is so awesomely good and almost melts in your mouth! The seasoning is great too, in the burning hot kinda way. Love the new location. It's probably 3x as big as the previous location. More tables and booths available. Food quality is still okay, however, service could use some improvements. We were sat right away and ordered 4lbs of spicy crawfish, calamari app, and shrimp Cajun pasta. The crawfish was good and fresh. Our server did not write down our order and normally I wouldn't mind because servers tend to have good memory, but not this one. He forgot our calamari and instead of shrimp pasta I got crawfish. I've been going to this place for years now, and I decided that I should finally write a review. This restaurant has to be one of the top cajun restaurants in Arlington, and since it's family owned, it just makes it that much better! Service is always nice and fast, and the owner is a very sweet lady. The atmosphere is very New Orleans-esque, with all the pictures hanging on the wall and the jazzy music that they have playing. Now for the food. The crawfish is absolutely amazing! The way they season it makes it tasty and spicy! You have an option of mild, medium, or spicy, with flavors of original lousiana flavor, lemon pepper, or garlic butter. I've tried all three flavors, and I have to admit, I love them all! The fried rice is delicious and not too oily like one would expect, and the secret sauce that they provide for the crawfish/rice makes it all more better. If I can't get to boiling crab, this is the second best place for crawfish! This is a very small, casual, family owned restaurant. The decor is very New Orleansy and their food definitely can hang. I've had a lot of their dishes, from the shrimp poboys, to étouffée, crawfish, and fried catfish. Their shrimp poboys are delicious with a healthy amount of shrimps. The seafood étouffée, my favorite, is great! It is a little soupy as compared to other étouffées that I have but the flavor and ingredients are amazing. My only know is the amount of rice they give you. One large plate of étouffée amounts to 1 small bowl of rice...I always have to order extra rice, which I'm sure costed extra. Crawfish....AMAZING! They use a wet seasoning and spices were just right. Their crawfish, in season or out, is always good! They also run an everyday special of buy 5 lb and get 1 free. Being a crawfish lover, I always take advantage of this deal. They also have an amazing weekday special of buy 2 or more lbs for 5.99 a lb! The only dish I did not like was the fried catfish...To me, the batter is VERY grainy, kinda sand like. I had it once, and have yet to reorder. This is a very small restaurant with great food! I had high hopes with all the great reviews. We went because my husband loves crawfish. He said the crawfish was great- he had the spicy and said it was just perfect. I had a grilled shrimp pasta dish (Shrimp New Orleans I think....) with mushrooms, bell peppers and onions. It was not that good. Edible but I also skipped lunch and was starving so.... Service was slow especially considering it was a quiet Tuesday night with only 3 other tables of customers when we were there. My daughter's kids' meal never came. Although not as good as Boiling Crab, I'd still rather go here and not have a wait than wait for 3 hours at Boiling Crab. Seasoning and menu is almost identical to Joe's Cajun off Pioneer. First time here. Had previously visited Louisiana for the first time and of course experienced their awesome food. That's what brought us here. I had a small gumbo and the Seafood pasta. Gumbo was great. It did lack a little flavor for my taste, but it was still great. The Seafood pasta with shrimp and crawfish was unbelievable!! It had so much flavor. My side was potatoes and they were awesome. They had an onion flavor to them, really really good. My hubby had the shrimp and gator combo basket. He said it was all good. Great Cajun flavor. But the Cajun fries did not have any Cajun seasoning on it. He said the fries were good, but just tasted like regular fries. We will be visiting again. read more
