Was introduced to this little spot by my cousin, and our group really enjoyed our meal! We got there early ~5:30pm on a Friday and we were the only customers there at the time. We ordered Cajun fries, wings, scallop, crawfish, shrimp, mussels, and clams, with all the add-ons (sausage, corn, potatoes) and a mix of the three seasonings. They had the best Cajun fries I've ever had, the crawfish were huge, and the mussels and corn were absolutely my favorite. The owner and waiter were very kind and friendly, we really appreciated their suggestions and care! They also provided gloves, bibs, fresh lemon. This is by far the worst boiling crab we've ever had. If I could give this restaurant 0 stars I would. The only flavor we tasted in their sauce was WATER. If you like watered down seafood then this is your place. I was so excited to try this restaurant based off of the great reviews but do NOT trust them. First we started with the cajun fried which are thin and under seasoned. Because I was starving I continued to munch of them with hella ketchup just to get some flavor. Then came the rice which was extremely dry. And last the seafood boil.. we ordered 2 pounds of shrimp with potatoes added.. mild and medium with all of the sauces mixed.... As I stated before... if you like WATERED DOWN seafood and ZERO FLAVOR this is your #1 choice. I have never had seafood this bad. It actually made my stomach hurt and I loveeeeee seafood. I'm not even a picky eater, but I had one bite of the potato, a shrimp, and I even tried to get the thickest part of the sauce and it was disgusting and I literally could not take a bite of anything else. Mind you, this was my first meal of the day.. and my bf had just gotten off of work so we were starving and we completely lost our appetite eating this. I tried to politely tell the staff that our sauce was too watered down and they had the manager come out which started to argue with me saying "You expect what other restaurants give you. There's nothing I can do for you." I've worked in the food industry and I know a very unprofessional manager when I see one. He didn't offer any help other than to bring out more butter as if that would actually fix how disgusting everything tasted. We're very understanding people so normally I'd let something like this slide but the way he handled it was extremely unprofessional and rude so I think it's important for everyone to know. Because they didn't take off anything on the bill except a 10% discount, we paid and left. Literally left every single thing there. It wasn't even worth bringing back. The worst. Amazing service and delicious, fresh food! This poppa and son restaurant deserves all the stars! Nam (owner) assured we had everything we needed, he came to our table and introduced himself. He is very sweet and kind. His son, Michael was awesome, took care of us really well. He came often to check on us and was very friendly! The food was so fresh and tasty! We got a pound of shrimp with sausage, potatoes and corn... we also got the garlic bread and Cajun fries. We dipped everything in that delicious sauce! We usually go to boiling crab and this place is very similar though had its own flavors we we LOVED! Not too spicy for a medium which was great too! We were seated immediately and got our food on less than 20 minutes! We will definitely be back! This place deserves all the love and support:) read more

I am always open to trying new places. It was my cousins birthday and we yelped some cajun places that isn't too far from us and came upon this restaurant. We saw that it was more of a Vietnamese flavor and it sounded different from the usual Boiling Crab or others. It's fairly a small restaurant. Since it was a Saturday night, there was only one person waiting on tables. But he was very accommodating and attentive to us. There were probably 3 other tables. We were a group of 10. We all ordered the shrimp at different levels of spiciness. We also got the lemon pepper fries, cajun fries, mussles, crawfish and scallops. The scallops were so good! The fries were really good too. I recommend the lemon pepper ones. I personally got the shrimp with 3 spices mild. I don't think it had much flavor. Maybe it needed more spice? But the medium spice tasted better. The place itself is clean. Service was good. I docked a star because it did take a good while for food to come out and when it did, we didn't get it all at the same time. Since its a small place, I'm guessing the kitchen isn't too big either. But if you're in the area, I would definitely give it a try! read more

We found this hidden jewel of a place. The inside is clean and nice. The owner is so sweet. Our waitress was very polite and patient as we were trying to figure out what we want. The price are very reasonable. Our food came out with very little wait. We ordered shrimp, crawfish, mussels corn potatoes and sausage. We had four pounds. One bowl with all three seasonings, and the other bowl was garlic and butter. The shrimp are humongous. The flavors are delicious the corn OMG I could've ate like four of them so good I definitely recommend this place reasonable prices good food it's a hidden jewel.
