It was weird though because I went to the restroom to wash my hands, and when I came back, they gave another group the table they gave me. I picked a different table, but I thought that was odd. After a quick glance at their menu I saw that they had Happy Hour is Monday to Friday from 4 to 6:30pm. It was a bit pass 6pm so I put in a Dozen Oysters (HH $15 | regular $33) while I looked at the rest of the menu. Ugh regret. These were SO BAD!! First off, the majority was not shucked, it was still attacked to the shell. I turned to the table next to me since I saw they had ordered oysters and I asked if theirs were shucked, and they said some were and some weren't. Oh goodness, so inconsistent. Then they also warned me that they got charged regular pricing instead of happy hour pricing. Also they didn't give me any utensils... so I had to go grab a plastic fork myself cause no staff was in sight and I had to scrap these oysters off their shells. First one not good. Second one, I drowned it in marinara sauce, still not good. Third one... SO BAD I SPLIT IT OUT... Fourth one, ALSO BAD. Okay I don't want to get sit... I'm over this... I just set it aside and covered it with one napkin to indicate I'm over it. Honestly they can see there were many untouched if they wanted to ask me how I liked them. Maybe I should have left but I made the mistake of ordering more food. I ordered a Raspberry Iced Tea ($3.75). Can't really mess that up but I want to point out that no refills were offered my whole time there. I did their Build Your Own with 1lb Shrimp ($17.75), 1lb Crawfish ($11 when added on to an order), with the Make it Awesome ($5.75) which is 1 corn, 2 potatoes, 3 sausages all in their Garlic Butter Mild. Okay... garlic... butter... can't go wrong right?? Well I'm wrong wrong wrong. I don't know HOW they managed to serve me the blandest cajun meal of my life. I am beyond baffled. I see the garlic. The color looks like butter. Definitely not mild, more like zero spice and zero seasonings. Even the limes they gave were dried out and bitter. My theory on the bland garlic was that it was prepped and frozen for so long it lost its' flavor. The seafood itself didn't taste fresh either. Bleh. It really needed a better sauce to mask the musky taste. Oh and the sausage was BURNT. Sigh. I think service tried to be nice. They did come and ask if I needed anything else. But honestly I didn't even want the food in front of me, let alone anything else. At the end they provided complimentary dessert to every guest. It was like a deep fried oreo with a scoop of ice cream on the day I went. The dessert was good. Just nothing else. Oh wait for it... when I got the check, I was also overcharged for the oysters, ringing up at $33 instead of the $1.50/oyster HH price being $15. The waitress was surprised and she even expressed how that happened to another customer (I know) previously and she had asked "him", who I assume is a manager or boss, to fix it in the system. Sigh... Apparently he didn't. The portions were fair, the pricing is fair... WHEN THEY RING YOU UP CORRECTLY. it just tastes bad. Low production quality. Maybe they are able to keep these prices by buying low quality product. Regardless I DEFINITELY won't be coming back. This meal, or rather the stuff that was edible, is not worth the calories. I rarely give 1 star reviews but I almost considered it... but no one was mean and I didn't get sick (because I spit up the bad oysters and stopped eating them). This is such a generous 2 stars review for the mess I had to deal with.

Food is Amazing my gf and I had 2 pounds of shrimp all 3 flavors together is the best recommended by the owner had the order of egg rolls they are different than your normal egg rolls they are delicious they have that cajun seasoning around them as well. The consistency flavor and thickness of the sauce was the best thing you can use it for your rice and your fries it taste really good medium has a little bit of kick just right not too hot. It's just too bad they don't have trout as a whole fish choice. I bet they'd make a masterpiece out of that beauty. They give you a lot of different salsas to choose from, which is nice, but the flavor should already be in the food--not something you have to create yourself with salsa. The marlin tostada tasted more like tinga than marlin. The mixta was watery and didn't have any noticeable lime or freshness to it. Overall, the seafood just didn't have the flavor I was expecting. Service: Service was extremely slow. It took forever for someone to come over and take our food order, and then we waited even longer for the food to actually arrive. Ambience: The atmosphere also felt off. The music was mostly pop and rock, which didn't really match the banda/norteño atmosphere you'd expect from a place like this. When you walk in, it also feels like everyone turns around and stares at you, which made it a little uncomfortable. The biggest issue was that in the middle of our meal, we were asked to move tables because a larger family was coming in. That was really inappropriate. Once customers are seated and already eating, they shouldn't be inconvenienced to accommodate another party. Between the bland food, slow service, uncomfortable atmosphere, and being moved during our meal, the overall experience just wasn't good. Unfortunately, I wouldn't come back based on this visit.

Interest captured by the vivid scents wafting from the kitchen and the mostly positive Yelp reviews, I boomeranged back 24 hrs later to place my maiden order. I went with Shanghai Egg Rolls and the Yang Chow Fried Rice, but I'd asked them to substitute more chicken and Chinese sausage for the shrimp, as your favorite Yelp correspondent has never enjoyed shrimp in any form other than cocktails. The staff is exceedingly nice!!! Owner/proprietor JOSEPH and his wife skate around as balls of determined energy, but with welcoming smiles affixed to their faces. The prices are pretty reasonable- My tab for a generous multi-protein entree and appetizer was $19.34 including taxes. But can we please have a conversation about the flavors? Couwami partisans! Tell me-- Did your faithful correspondent order the wrong items?! My Shanghai Egg Rolls were undercooked, limp and flaccid. The flavors were solid but the texture was so off-putting and uncharacteristic for a typical egg rolls, that I could barely get them down. The Yang Chow Fried Rice was also undercooked- I'm used to fried rice that has a toasted, beigy-yellow finish with chicken or pork cooked to at least medium to medium well doneness. My entree was, as the picture attest, a faint ivory hue and I actually hadta toss it in my skillet for five minutes to toast up the rice and finish cooking the tendrils of chicken, which were served medium rare, a micro-degree above pink but with the unpleasant mouth feel of sushi. Not exactly the way you'd expect your proteins to be prepared! I'm a huge believer in redemption. And judging by the hundreds of 4.2 level reviews on Yelp, I suppose its possible I just caught the cook on a bad night or ordered the WDT (Wrong Damn Thing)...twice! I'd normally accord two stars but will bump this up to three based on the utter civility and decency that Joseph and his staff extended to me.

In terms of the food, they serve huge portions but I find the rice to taste pretty stale at times and they use heavy oil in all their dishes. I probably won't be supporting this business if there aren't any improvements. Customer service and food quality is going downhill. *After reading reviews it looks like the restaurant changed ownership and the new owners have no clue how to run a business. Customers beware!

My only complaint is that the shrimp still had the tails on. At $30 a plate, especially for a food truck where people are usually grabbing lunch on the go, I wish they were already removed--no one has time for that. The noodles are extra, but definitely worth it. They also offer a great variety of sauces. I don't eat out often, so when I do, it's more of a treat for me.
