    Beef Yaki Noodle

The place is located off foothill and Cerritos in Azusa across from Azusa Pacific. It is small inside but does have at least 4 tables. I saw the reviews on Yelp but I wanted to try it myself and my family, I ordered the family meal - 3 meats : beef short ribs, teriyaki beef and sweet and sour chicken; 1 app : chicken wings ; 2 sides : rice and macaroni salad. I wasn't sure how many it would feed so I ordered chicken fried rice, beef yakitori and a chicken teriyaki/ katsu plate. Everything was so good and freshly made. My family - grandkids are fussy but they really enjoyed everything. You know hard it is to feed kids especially vegetables but these dishes were a hit with them all! Excellent for a family of 5 adults and 3 children- we still have enough for tmws lunch!

I wanted to try a new food spot and decided to take a chance on them. I ordered a teriyaki chicken plate with white rice and macaroni salad as sides. Everything was delicious, I will definitely come back here again recommended it to others. 10/10 (forgot to take a picture because I TORE that plate up) Update : bought some again was craving it so bad, here's a picture of the chicken teriyaki plate with macaroni and white rice!

I had a good experience at Louis's Hawaiian BBQ (Azusa). I ordered the Chicken Katsu with Curry Sauce ($12.99). It's HUGE portions, well-prepared, and satisfying! I left full & happy. I arrived at Louis's Hawaiian BBQ (Azusa) on Tuesday (around 10:54AM). Parking is bad. The private lot is busy and cramped. Luckily, I found an open spot. Customers can order at the self-service kiosk or counter. Staff is professional and hardworking. Staff also happily answered my questions. According to Staff, the Lunch Special offers less food than the ordinary menu. My meal took 11 minutes and 44 seconds. Good pace. I appreciated the Chicken Katsu with Curry Sauce ($12.99). The Chicken Katsu is very crisp and crunchy while not being too dry. The rice and macaroni salad are clean and tasty. And the portions are very BIG! This affordable meal can easily feed two people. There's also genuine effort in this food. If I had to nitpick, the curry sauce is a little too salty, but it's comforting. Regarding ambiance, Louis's Hawaiian BBQ (Azusa) is clean and cramped. There's four shiny tables and one counter. There's also no restroom; rather, there's a bottle of hand sanitizer near the kiosk. I appreciated the clean windows and well-swept floors. There's still visible passion in this small business. Overall, I enjoyed my experience at Louis's Hawaiian BBQ (Azusa). It's refreshing discovering a Hawaiian BBQ location with integrity. If you're searching for affordable, large portions, this is an easy recommendation. 4.6 out of 5

    Chicken & Beef Bowl

Flavors were so good in comparison to other Hawaiian bbq spots, but there were certain things that dropped the ratings for me. I started eating my chicken and beef bowl and realized how much the bowl is full of rice. There's not a lot of meat and for the price it is, wasn't exactly worth it. The aloha plate caused a family member to have diarrhea, which I saw in a previous review as well. One and done for us here.

    Kiosk ordering.

Louis's Hawaiian BBQ is a nice little mom and pop joint. I found them searching on Yelp while I was checking out areas to each during lunch time. The location is neighboring to the well known Louie's Liquor in Azusa. Louis's Hawaiian operates with kiosk ordering right when you enter. The staff is kind, but there is a bit of a language barrier. Nonetheless, I felt welcomed the entire visit. After I ordered, the food was delivered quickly. They had mini bowl options for around $10-11. My order was the chicken katsu curry mini bowl which came with rice and mac salad. My first thought were WOW. The mini bowl seemed like a regular size in comparison to the portions served. The bowl came with a side container of curry which paired well. When you pay $10, but the food looks like you can easily have paid more, then its a great place in my book. I highly recommended Louis's in Azusa if you want a Hawaiian food for an affordable price point. They are a solid 4/5 for me and I hope more customers by to eat.

If you're looking for really good and decently priced Hawaiian food in the Azusa area, this place is it!! It's conveniently located right across from Azusa Pacific University. The place is clean w plenty of seating. My 3rd time here tonight and i see now that this place does not get the traffic it deserves. The cashier does not speak English well, so it takes a long minute to place my order. However, she is always super nice and friendly. I've had the chicken & beef combo and chicken katsu, and tonight I tried the short ribs plate which was deliciously marinated. I love the little tiny cup of peanuts they give as a side. The prices here are much lower compared to other Hawaiian bbq spots I've been to. Let's support local businesses and show this restaurant some love!!! Food is delicious, portions are big, so I'm definitely coming back here when I'm craving Hawaiian food, and you should too, if you're ever in this area!!

Ordered for take out and it def exceed our expectations! We got the mixed bbq plate, mini curry chicken plate and chicken musubi. The mixed bbq plate comes with beef, chicken, and kabli. Each plate comes with rice , Mac salad and veggies. The meats were all very tender and had a good bbq flavor. The Mac salad had bits of tuna mixed in and was flavorful. They packed all the sauces on the side which was great for me since I am not a sauce person. Overall we would def order again from this place because everything we had was great!

    Receipt for Dine In

Was driving by and decided to try. First off they have a kiosk for ordering. The kiosk was simple to use and made payment easy. I made my order for dine in and of course my order was prepared for take out. Not a big deal. I ordered a couple of appetizers for my first time. Spam Musubi and fried chicken wings. The Order came with a few sauces, hot sauce, sweet and sour and a homemade sauce which was also sweet. The fried wings were hot out of the fryer and a great crisp and a good balance of saltiness and crunch. The Musubi was also very good and tasted fresh. The food took a little longer than expected since I was the only one eating at the time but it wasn't too bad of a wait. I will definitely go back and try a plate lunch. Prices are reasonable, and although the food I ordered didn't blow me away it was fresh, made to order and was very good. Give them a try!

Came here after the renaissance fair in Irwindale, hungry and ready to chow down. We were able to place our order through a kiosk and received two free canned drinks due to meeting a certain amount paid. That was nice! Sat down and waited for our food which did not take too long, maybe 15 mins. Everything was hot and portions were plenty. The kalua pork doesn't taste like the ones we're used to but it was still good. It was more of a Chinese version which reminded me of my mom's cooking. The lady there was super sweet and never rushed us. Most people who came in after us, placed togo orders, but we dined in because it was hot outside and they had the A/C running. The place was clean overall and had casual interior. Great spot to stop by if you're in the area. All our food cost about $53.

    Aloha BBQ Mix

It seems like every time I visit, the meal is just slightly different. Today, all of the protein was cut into bite sized pieces. They might be velveting the chicken and beef to improve the texture. I'm not complaining. Better nice and soft than full of tendon and cartilage. Whatever recipe or place they're sourcing their Mac salad from is delicious. I usually dislike Mac salad but it's always great here. Not a big fan of the fried rice profile. Reminded me of Saturday Chinese school. They used dark soy sauce for the uniform color. Edible. Nostalgic. Lacking in any other feature of fried rice like carrots, peas, bites of egg. Think this might be my last time for the Aloha Mix. I'm chasing the distinct memory of my very first plate but it seems further and further away. Kinda wonder if they switched owners or chefs. I'll be back for the fried chicken.

I will gladly and without hesitation put Canyon City Barbeque up there as some of the best Barbeque I have ever had in my life. When I say I dream of their Barbeque, I mean it. Just writing this review my mouth is salivating as I think back on the food. We ordered the Canyon City Sampler, and it is without a doubt the way to go if it's your first time. It was enough meat for 3 hungry adults with leftovers. The sampler let us to try every cut of meat they had, and every cut is barbecued to the highest level of quality for the cut. The brisket and ribs were our personal favorites. I was also blown away by how perfect the chicken was. Every side is pure deliciousness. Don't sleep on the cornbread. I wish we would've ordered even more. The texture is perfect. Crisp crunch on the outside and perfect moisture on the inside. The way cornbread should be. The Mac and cheese and coleslaw were absolutely delicious as well. We all wish we would've bought some of their Barbeque sauce to take home. They have 2 main sauces, one for pork and one for beef. I would happily drown myself in either. Our server was very polite, attentive, and made amazing recommendations (though I'm now convinced I could close my eyes, point at the menu, and be a happy camper lol) I seldom have reason to be in the area, but I now will be looking forward to making a trip back to specifically to grab some Canyon City Barbeque.

That was understandable, and I had assumed it was free because of some older menu photos on Yelp. Since I enjoyed the food, I decided to come back and order in person to avoid miscommunication. One thing I will mention is that they didn't include BBQ sauce on the side when I ordered via Uber Eats. If you're ordering a brisket sandwich, the sauce that's already on it isn't really enough. Today, I specifically asked to buy two pieces of cornbread because that was what I was really looking forward to. By the time I got home, I ate my sandwich and found a piece of hair in it. Not ideal, but mistakes happen. Then I went to get my cornbread and realized it wasn't in the bag at all. I had specifically asked for it, and I don't know whether I was charged for it because I didn't ask for a receipt since I paid by card. The workers were very friendly, and the food itself has been good except for the hair in my sandwich and today's Mac and cheese was very salt Overall my experience was pretty disappointing because again I did not get the corn bread I specifically came for and the hair in my food and the Mac and cheese was so salty I didn't even eat it. Majority of other steakhouses are not bringing in the younger crowd, and this will adversely affect them when their customers start to move on to a different life. The first thing that comes out is complimentary bread. The bread is just bread. Taste like a thick wonder bread. There's a brown slice and a white slice. The bread is very dense and it is just bread. The butter is airy and whipped, which compensated for the plain bread. I understand that the slice is traditional in the past, but gosh, it is so plain. Throw some honey in the butter or serve corn bread or some other bread. I would rather not have the bread unless if I ordered BBQ to make a sandwich. Next came the salads. The salad is your typical garden salad but with grape tomatoes and croutons. Per the waitress, the dressings were made in house, with blue cheese as their popular choice. Beans came out next. Man, think of pinto beans with Oregano juice. Gosh, it was different but utterly meh. If they have been serving this recipe for so long, I guess people like it. I ordered the "angus" ribeye, where my girlfriend ordered the cow girl steak aka T-bone. Not sure why they would gender a steak as most men would not order a cowgirl steak. The ribeye was not tough and cooked well over their famous fire grill. The T-bone was a bit tough. Majority of the poor reviews complained of the steak being plain. Well, steaks are meant to be indulged without any sauces and as it with seasoning when it's cooked. Some people enjoy this, but not all. Objectively, I can see why no sauces are offered. I understand why they have regulars and the way they do things is meant to be what I mentioned, so it should be respected. This is why I gave it a 4/5. I do think they should offer sauces on the side. Whether it's made in house or from an A1 bottle. Bottom line, some people like sauce. This is something you should experience, and something that you should be the judge of. It's an experience and it's a long standing restaurant in the city. Lastly, for godsakes, it was very warm in there. The heat was almost unbearable.

We ordered to go and Eric the guy who answered the phone did a phenomenal job. We had lot of questions about the different combos and which deals would be better. Eric was EXTREMELY patient, which you don't see often nowadays. Servers are always spread so thin they don't have the patience to deal with us over the phone. Eric did not give that vibe that at all. He gave the BEST customer service we've gotten in a while. So a sincere thank you Eric! On top of that, we are about a 10-15 min drive away from this location. We usually accept it's going to be mediocre or decent by the time we get home. Plot twist, the food was actually well cooked and perfectly seasoned when we got home! This is one happy fatty.

Ate a little bit off the happy hour menu. Ordered a lunch special, just so we could try extra items that we don't normally order. All of the food was very tasty, served fresh and warm. We enjoyed barbecue nachos, barbecue chicken, potato salad and the Nashville chicken with fries The ambience here is southern type hospitality feel. There is plenty of seating inside and they have some outside, if you're inclined. We got here early enough, so there were no crowds, sat right at the bar. All in all, it was a pleasant experience! I would come back again for happy hour.
