I was browsing their website and noticed a variety of vegan flavors, so I was excited to try the vegan options. When I got there, they only had red velvet. I guess I missed the note on their website that says you need to order vegan or gluten free cupcakes two days in advance. It was nice that they had red velvet but it seems like it's the go-to choice for most places, which makes it hard not to judge against other cupcakes. It was very good, the cake was moist, and I enjoyed the frosting. But it didn't quite measure up to my favorite vegan red velvet cupcake from Sprinkles. The shop is so cute and there's a good amount of parking. I went on a day when there were two people working, and they were both super nice. I thought the male worker was a bit more helpful, but they were both kind. I'd love to see more than one vegan option on the consistent in-store menu, rather than needing to order ahead. read more

We got a Too Good To Go surprise bag. The 4 flavors: burnt almond, 24 carrot, lemon cake with lemon buttercream, and coffee toffee crunch. My Asian tastebuds found 3 of the 4 to be too sweet. Burnt almond: 4.5/5. Moist, not too sweet, great flavor, the crunchiness of the almond mixture coating the frosting was a great touch. Only complaint is that the frosting texture was a touch too oily/buttery and dense, it felt like I was eating a solid chunk of sweetened whipped butter. Taste was great tho. 24 Carrot: 4/5. Perfectly spiced, fluffy frosting complemented the cake perfectly, it was just too sweet for me. Lemon cake with lemon buttercream: 4/5. Lemon flavor was very subtle and mild, could've been stronger. Also: too sweet. Coffee toffee crunch: 4.5/5. Too sweet, but the frosting and crunch were sooo good! Incredible coffee flavor. I would come here again if I needed cupcakes for an event. Stopped by here to pick up a Too Good To Go order and I never realized this shop before. It was nice to discover and I can't wait to try my cupcakes I bought for a discount. I'm not normally a cupcake fan, however one day I was near Frost Cupcake Factory and decided to pop in and try something. I was greeted by Aaron who has a great personality. He was hospitable and helpful. My one cupcake turned into four, thanks to Aaron's brilliance. I don't remember the flavors of all of them but these are the ones I do remember 24 carrot is a delicious carrot cake base with a creamy cream cheese based frosting. It was sweet but not overly. The cake was moist and delicious. Then there was pumpkin spice which is a fall special. I didn't try this one as we all decided at my house to cut them in half for sharing. The feedback from family was that it was delicious. Then there was one that had a rich fudgey cake base and a delicious creamy coconut topping with some caramel drizzle. It reminded me of those zebra cookies I ate as a child. This was my favorite. It was very sweet so half was plenty for me. The last one was called caramel apple. Someone in my house swooped in on this one and said it was every bit appley and delicious. I have attached a picture of this one. Since the move from Campbell to their current location, I have noticed that the cupcake size had been downsized, what pricing has remained consistent . As with everything, it's understandable. It's still lovely to know that one of my favorites is available and did not close post pandemic . It's not just a cupcake shop. I was very dissatisfied with these cupcakes. The cake was dry and the frosting didn't really have any flavor. It was just whipped fluffy sugar with large sugar granules that crunched with each bite. The price is very high as well for such a meager attemp at a cupcake. I brought home a half dozen and a pint of chocolate ice cream for a little over $40 and tossed most of the cakes after I had a taste. The best of the bunch was the carrot cake and the worst was the strawberry. The service was fine, the interior was nothing special. Parking is easy. I will not be returning. read more

Got a selection of 6 cupcakes for my birthday which was a pleasant surprise! Some tasted good and moist and others were a bit dry and bland. Can't remember now which ones were good. There's a lot of frosting which I personally don't prefer. Would rather focus on a really good delicious cake portion. We've been coming here for years and the cupcake quality and service has gone downhill, while the prices have gone way up. I understand that businesses need to make price adjustments due to inflationary times and whatnot. Yesterday, we called the store in advance to see what cupcakes they had left, as they were closing soon. They shared what cupcakes remained, and we then asked them to hold the remaining cupcakes as we'd be there in a few minutes, right before they closed. They said they had 3 of one type of cupcake and 4 of another. They agreed to hold them for us. When we arrived, they had them boxed up for us already (which we thought was nice) and we paid and were on our way. When we arrived home to host some friends and family, we opened the boxes to find out the cupcakes were not the flavor profiles that were shared over the phone. The one flavor (of three) was correct, but the second flavor (of four) was different than promised. Shame on us, we should've looked inside the box, but we likely would've taken them anyways as we needed a dessert. When we were eating them later that evening with our group, we found the cupcakes to be fairly dry, but the incorrectly provided flavor (I think it's called frostfetti) was foul tasting. There was something wrong with those cupcakes, not sure what, but they were gross. I have a sweet tooth, I have a pretty good guage as to what desserts should taste like and that isn't it. Spending around $40 for a partially incorrect order, and for some nasty tasting cupcakes was just really annoying. read more

I have to admit, they had me at "Pupcakes." Any baker that is going to go out of their way to also make cupcakes for dogs is five stars in my book. My dogs love them! The cupcakes for us two-legged folks are delicious too. My favorite is the burnt almond. I love it because it's piled with a fluffy cloud of frosting that's not too sweet, and then topped with almonds. The cupcake itself is a soft yellow cake and not too sweet. The shop is gorgeous! Staff were so nice and professional. Unfortunately, my cupcake wasn't great I'm so disappointed. I ordered the Banana Cream Pie Cupcake. The cake was extremely dry. I feel like there was fresh banana in there, but it wasn't moist at all. It could've been overcooked. I suggest maybe trying a soaking syrup to add some flavor and moisture. The frosting was terrible. It was obviously artificial whipped cream frosting with very little flavor associated with it. I get that real whipped cream isn't shelf stable, but the artificial stuff doesn't cut it. They have lots and lots of different flavors everyday. The cupcakes were dry and lacked flavor, which made them unenjoyable to eat. It seems likely that they were frozen rather than freshly baked, which might explain the dryness. For the price being charged, I would expect fresh, moist cupcakes. Additionally, the frosting appears to be whipped cream rather than buttercream. While I understand the choice, it could really use more flavor to complement the cupcake base. I shared these with others, and everyone agreed that the cupcakes were dry. Rating - 4 Stars Winner of Food Network's Cupcake Wars (Season 8, 2013)! Cupcakes were moist and light with a generous frosting-cake ratio. Very presentable too as gourmet looking cupcakes. This comes at a cost of $4/cupcake though. Burnt Almond - My favorite cause it wasn't too sweet and the textural contrast from the perfectly toasted almonds and bits of toffee provided a nice crunch. Comparable to the Burnt Almond from Peter's Bakery, however, at 2x the price. Apple Crisp - My other favorite. Cream cheese frosting wasn't too rich and the apple granola crunch was delicious. Definitely the most moist and very Fall flavors. Lemon Meringue - Not too bad. It had a bright, tart flavor, but I found this to be a bit too sweet for my liking and too messy as well. Chocolate Wasted - The cake part was nice and chocolatey, but I personally wasn't a fan of the frosting part. It seemed like your basic whipped cream if that's what you enjoy. It was very light and airy with not much chocolate flavor. 16 different flavors are available each day and flavors change monthly so be sure to check their website beforehand. My only gripe is that unfortunately there's no description of any of their flavors. Overall, it's great that they rotate the different flavors when it comes to different cupcakes however, today I had an experience where I felt that the customer service was low standard engagement while historically were much better behaviors from other staff members working at this location. It was quite disappointing to see that how they treated me as a customer wasn't consistent from previous engagement or interaction. I said thank you multiple times and I did not hear back from the worker. He just continues to ignore me. He didn't even do any nonverbal behaviors or gestures to acknowledge that I was being polite and saying thank you for his service or being a respectful human being and acknowledging that I'm speaking to him. It was just him and I in that room, so I felt very disrespected that his poor unprofessional behavior compared to his colleagues who were more professional versus his behavior earlier today. He just checked me out without even giving me the opportunity to check in to collect my points. While I had observed and heard him offering the other lady who was before me having a better experience as he was asking her if she wanted her receipt or not. read more
