Fast in and out. Cupcakes were good. Hence the name it has lots of frosting. We got four flavors and my favorite was the Oreo. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was clean inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Would visit again when wanting something sweet.

Yummy cupcake. We got the burnt almond and banana cream. The lady who helped me was very kind to include the happy birthday topper

Such happy cupcakes! A little on the pricier side but beautiful decorated with unique flavors. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

We ordered cupcakes for my kids' birthday party. The whole process was completed via email, quick and straight forward. The cupcakes came out as expected. The frosting to cake ratio was a bit more than I remembered but didn't stop anyone from consuming it all. Overall it's a good go to if you need some decent cupcakes last minute.

Wow, best cupcakes ever! The owner and staff were also great in accommodating my request. Thank you, Frost Cupcake Factory!

This place has the best cupcakes! They are not only delicious, but so creatively made and decorated. My favorite is the hot chocolate cupcake, it literally gives me the feeling of enjoying a warm cup of cocoa just from looking at it! I've never actually been inside the store, but we have someone who brings them to work every week and they always always brighten all of our days.

Easy to get to. Parking is easy. Great selection of flavors! Reasonably priced! Definitely a great spot to get cupcakes.

Never disappoints. The guava cupcake is my favorite. I'm sure they do lots of catering because they are so good but they always have a decent selection for anyone who drops in. They are definitely above average and high quality. You would definitely impress guests, colleagues or anyone with a tray of these gourmet cupcakes.

Was in the area for work and needed a cupcake for a photo shoot later. With 30 mins before closing I got two cupcakes! I am not a cupcake person but they look delicious. They are a good size for $5 a piece. I got the sundae and guava one! Sundae purely for the presentation and guava because it was a popular seasonal. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I loved the interior of the store.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They had so many flavors like oreo, red velvet and churro!

Saw place from a close by parking lot and decided we had to stop in to look at the cupcakes. It was nice to see different flavors that I don't normally see at cupcake places. My friend and I were intrigued by the rose velvet but I ended up getting guava delight and she got the raspberry lemon cooler. We both enjoyed the cupcakes they were super moist and flavorful and cheaper than some of the cupcake chains. I also got a chocolate chip cookie that I really liked.

Caramel apple cupcake. A hit at my house

I'm not normally a cupcake fan, however one day I was near Frost Cupcake Factory and decided to pop in and try something. I was greeted by Aaron who has a great personality. He was hospitable and helpful. My one cupcake turned into four, thanks to Aaron's brilliance. I don't remember the flavors of all of them but these are the ones I do remember 24 carrot is a delicious carrot cake base with a creamy cream cheese based frosting. It was sweet but not overly. The cake was moist and delicious. Then there was pumpkin spice which is a fall special. I didn't try this one as we all decided at my house to cut them in half for sharing. The feedback from family was that it was delicious. Then there was one that had a rich fudgey cake base and a delicious creamy coconut topping with some caramel drizzle. It reminded me of those zebra cookies I ate as a child. This was my favorite. It was very sweet so half was plenty for me. The last one was called caramel apple. Someone in my house swooped in on this one and said it was every bit appley and delicious. I have attached a picture of this one. All in all the flavors were a huge hit at my house and I will definately return. A huge thank you to Aaron for making my visit there a success.

They're best known for their famous Burnt Almond Cake, though they also offer a variety of other pastries. Personally, I come here just for the cake. They sell it by the slice or cupcakes, and they also have whole cakes ready to go. If you're looking for a custom cake, though, be sure to place your order in advance. Whenever I'm in the area, I always stop by to pick up a few cakes to bring home for my family, but I can probably eat a whole cake to myself lol. Their prices are still surprisingly reasonable, which makes it even more worth the trip.

As a first-time customer, I had no idea they donate your paid order if you miss the pickup date. I was told I received a reminder email and that the policy was disclosed, but neither happened. I spoke directly with the owner, Cassey, explained the situation, and asked why no one contacted me before giving away something I had already paid for. At some point, she basically just stopped responding to me on the phone. All of this over a $30 order that probably could've been resolved with the tiniest bit of customer service. Instead, I'm now annoyed enough to be writing a catty Yelp review and hoping for Peter Bakery's demise lol -- Edit: just to reiterate here, cause I hate being called a liar. I came the following day and I was told the cake was already donated. My call today was to escalate the item I paid for but was given away. Lastly, no information about donations in the email, nor was a reminder email sent. Rather than checking their systems to verify, they continue to double down. $30 bucks lost on my end, but I hope my review sheds light on their shady customer service. (Btw, still no call back from that co-owner)

You line up, pick your pastries and order your food if you are eating in and then pay at the counter. Then, they will deliver the food to your table. For breakfast I got the Eggwing toast ham which comes with honey butter toast, egg, ham, lettuce and tomato. That was so good!! I devoured it. I also got Latte with beautiful art. Again, I love it! It was a perfect combo. My friend got the chicken and croffle. She loved it. She said the chicken is most and perfectly seasoned. I took home, almond croissant, salt breads (garlic, chocolate and truffles), toast box, and ham & cheese croissant. Everything was delicious! That said, they're constantly restocking, and the staff has a well-oiled system down. Even when it's busy, things move surprisingly efficiently. PASTRIES/BAKED GOODS: 9/10 I love their pastries and baked goods! I honestly haven't had anything that was a miss for me, whether it's savory or sweet. Everything I've tried has been delicious. FOOD/MEALS: 8/10 As for their meals, I thought they were good, but not quite as memorable as the pastries. I ordered the avocado toast, and while it was hearty and generously loaded, I felt like there was just a little too much going on. Both the salad and the toast were dressed a bit too heavily for my taste. COFFEE: 8/10 I also really enjoy their coffee. My go-to is the Latte Einspänner, and it pairs perfectly with their pastries. You can really taste the quality of the espresso, and I appreciate that it's not overly sweet. SERVICE: 9/10 The staff is quick, efficient, and constantly on the move. As I mentioned, they run like a well-oiled machine, even during the morning rush. AMBIANCE: 8/10 Seats fill up fast! If you're planning to dine in and you spot an open table, have someone in your group grab it while the other orders; tag-team it, lol. I also love the overall aesthetic. The wooden tables, sky blue and yellow color palette, and bright space make it feel warm and inviting. And of course, the giant glass displays packed with beautiful pastries are hard to resist; they're practically part of the décor!

Each item was about $4-5 each. Service was fast and friendly Pastel de nata (4.5/5): I really enjoyed it, the crust was perfectly flaky and the egg filling was creamy! My only complaint is that there was a bit too much egg filling, compared to the crust, so the ratio was a bit off. I would come back for these! Wow! What an absolutely disappointment. As a Portuguese…read moreperson, I grew up on Pastel de Nata or what we call from our island Cajada de Nata. I was SOOOO sad and disappointed just by the appearance of them when arriving, they were all burnt! You can't tell me they are supposed to look like this because nowhere on their website or instagram to they advertise them with black tops. I purchase Pastel de Nata quite frequently from my local bakery in San Leandro and since we were finally in San Jose, I was SO excited at the opportunity to try new ones from this "popular bakery" and I'm confused on how these sell? I ordered 13 pastel de Nata (6 traditional & the remaining a mix of all the flavors they offer) I'd hope when packing my boxes they'd attempt to throw some in there that weren't burnt from the top but the pictures speak for themselves. The burnt top ruins the taste of the pastry itself. The filling to crust ratio isn't it. Needs more custard or a slightly thinner crust. Attaching photos for reference. We also arrived at 11am (1.5 hours after they opened) and there was literally only 1 malasada left, I'm so happy it happened to be dulce de leche which I wanted and purchased it. My husband, son, and I LOVED it! That's the reason for the 1 star (although I can't give less) I'd recommend they make more Malasadas and less Pastel de Nata to keep up with the demand, a couple families walked in after me and walked right out when they realized there weren't any in stock and they genuinely taste better then the Pastel de Nata, you can tell that's where the high ratings come from and why they are popular. Overall - would recommend 1000% skipping the pastel de Nata unfortunately it does not taste anything like the ones I've had before. Not a true reflection of what it should taste/look like. We made the drive super excited to finally come and try and ignore the reviews saying it wasn't the best just to confirm they were correct.

Wait time: Roughly 10-15 minutes from order to food being ready around 9:30ish time on a weekday. We walked into a cozy, compact space with shelves filled with freshly baked breads, pastries, and prepared foods, all arranged in a way that makes you want to browse slowly even though the shop is small. The atmosphere has that simple, welcoming feel reminiscent of the small bakeries you find throughout Japan, focusing more on quality and variety than on a large café setup. Seating is limited, so it is better suited for grabbing something to go rather than spending a long time inside. The biggest draw here is the combination of Japanese baked goods and savory items. The bakery selection offers a great mix of sweet and savory options, with classics like melon pan standing out for its crisp sugary topping and soft interior that stays light without being dry. The curry bread and croquette bread are also popular choices, both feeling comforting and freshly made rather than overly sweet or greasy. The bakery items are reasonably priced, which makes it easy to pick up multiple things without feeling like you are spending too much, and the variety means there is always something new to try. The onigiri selection is what really makes Clover stand out compared to a typical bakery. The rice is well balanced and the fillings give each onigiri a different personality. The spicy tuna has a nice kick that comes through without overpowering the rice, while the unagi adds a sweeter, more savory flavor that works especially well with the slightly salty rice. The onigiri are a practical, satisfying choice for anyone looking for something more substantial than a pastry. Beyond the baked goods and onigiri, Clover also has drinks, sandwiches, and desserts including cakes and other pastries. The strawberry cake is a nice lighter dessert option, and the overall menu gives plenty of reasons to visit whether you are looking for breakfast, a snack, or something to bring home. The offerings feel thoughtfully selected, with enough variety to cover different cravings without making the menu feel scattered. Service is friendly and efficient, and the small size of the shop adds to the charm. Since it has become a popular local spot, some items can sell out during busy hours, so arriving earlier gives you the best selection. Parking can also be a little challenging during peak times, but the quick grab-and-go style makes the visit easy to manage. Clover Bakery & Cafe is a great stop for anyone who enjoys Japanese bakeries. The combination of fresh breads, affordable prices, and unique savory options like onigiri makes it feel different from a standard bakery. It is the type of place where it is worth picking up a few items and trying a mix of everything, leaving you with the sense that you have found a little neighborhood gem that delivers on both quality and variety.

Of course husband last minute says day of birthday celebration that we need a cake. Found Izumi…read moreCakes on Yelp and was bummed at first because the soonest online reservation for a cake would be two days later. Husband called them around 11am and they said they were in the middle of making their strawberry cakes so they could add our order in for a same day pickup at 4pm. Pickup went well and the cake was so cute and it tasted great! Like the Chinese bakery strawberry cream cake with a moist sponge cake; not too sweet, just right. Might sound basic but it was done very well. Would 100% recommend. I don't know prices for cakes nowadays but I didn't feel bad paying about $60 for a cute and tasty cake (6", strawberry cream cake). I wouldn't bank on same day pickups, I might've just been very lucky they were in the middle of making their cakes but it wouldn't hurt to try calling early in the day if you're in a pinch for a solid cake. I'm very thankful for their service!

This spot is takeout-only, so don't plan on stopping by for long. Finding parking isn't difficult…read morebut might take a minute on busy days, as it shares a parking lot with the rest of a popular plaza. The store itself is easy to find as well, with a clear label outside. Walking in, it looks half-closed--their cakes are all stored in a large refrigerator, with nothing in the case on the counter. There is a sign proclaiming "takeout only" in slight disarray, and the seating is pushed to the side. That said, the service is friendly and the employees are quick to help you and show you what they have in stock for takeout. I ordered the 4" Berry Berry Light Cake for a birthday, and they were able to write a birthday message on the cake board, which I really appreciated. The cake also tasted very light and the sweetness was subtle, which I really enjoyed. The berry flavor in the sponge was a little too subtle, though. My main concern is that the cake does not fully resemble the picture they advertised online. It is missing the freeze-dried berries on top, and the berry glaze did not reach as far down the cake as was shown in the photo. Because the berry glaze is the main source of the berry flavor, this was a little disappointing. Also, the cake was not finished when I came to pick up the cake (and I was ~5 minutes late). I'm uncertain if this is for freshness or if there is another reason. Overall, I like the spot for the fresh and light cake. It's pleasantly unique compared to your standard sheet cake, and everything is rather cute. However, it may be a better idea to buy the cakes in-person to be 100% sure of what it will look like, though daily stock is definitely more limited than if you place an order online. I hope they reopen their indoor seating soon.
