We checked in and were seated right away, and the setup was absolutely beautiful! They brought out our tea first, which we enjoyed while waiting for the pastry tower to arrive. Once it came out, they told us to eat from top to bottom, so that's exactly what we did! Each bite was delicious, everything tasted freshly baked and made, and I especially loved that the pastries weren't overly sweet. Although we enjoyed eating the tower from top to bottom, next time we would probably go from bottom to top since we like to save our sweets for last! Of course, we couldn't leave without getting more pastries to bring home. They have plenty of classic pastries, like croissants, along with more unique specialties, like their croissant cube. Everything looked and tasted so fresh, with that perfect flaky, crackly texture. The pastries are a little pricey for bakery items, but in my opinion, they're definitely worth it for the quality and freshness. Overall, we had such a lovely time celebrating my grandma's birthday here and would definitely come back for more pastries!

It was a 3-layer vanilla cake filled with lemon mousse, covered in buttercream and white chocolate bark pieces, and topped with 10 blueberries. This flavor can be found on their website catalog. I don't know if this is typical for this bakery, but the cake was heavy, claggy on the bottom, and way too sweet. The lemon mousse tasted incredibly strange, as if it were artificial or maybe had some kind of herb or weird flavoring added. The less said about the cream, the better. The white chocolate was quite good though. I saw they had a wide variety of cake offerings, but I don't think I'd want cake from here again. I might get the choux pastry again.

There was a large group of older Asian ladies, including one who brought their lap dog, enjoying good conversations in their native language with their baked goods and tea or coffee. Another gentleman was taking a video call to help decide the best cake to buy. Will add this bake shop for a place to have a coffee meeting and to favorite in Too Good To Go.

Chocolate Chip Pecan This flavor is definitely one of them ones. The minion size is soft, warm, and loaded with gooey chocolate when you break the cookie apart. The chocolate leans on the sweeter side, which I personally enjoy, though I can see it being a bit much for some people. I was honestly a little nervous about the pecans because I thought they'd overpower the cookie. Nope. They added just enough nuttiness and reminded me of a soft nougat, balancing out the sweetness without stealing the spotlight. The monster size is equally impressive. It's about the size of those Costco food court cookies... except better. It has a slight crisp on the outside, stays soft in the center, and every bite is packed with melty chocolate and pecan again. White Chocolate Pecan The white chocolate pecan is similar to the chocolate chip version, but with white chocolate instead. It has the same soft texture and balanced sweetness, and if you enjoy white chocolate, it's a solid option. Salted Chocolate Chip The salted chocolate chip was the only flavor that didn't quite hit for me. It's flatter, almost like a smash burger patty, and while I know it doesn't use dark chocolate, I picked up a slight bitterness. The salt also came on a little stronger than I prefer. My fiancée actually liked this one more than I did, so this may just come down to personal taste again. The prices are fair, the owner is a cool dude, and after several orders they've earned my trust. I still have a few flavors left to try, but if they're anywhere near the chocolate chip pecan, I'm not too worried. I'll definitely be placing another order soon.

My finacee and I have been doing a lot of cake shopping and have been to a lot of the south bay wedding cake shops and none even came close the the wonderful service and delicious cake we had here. The lady that helped us really helped us work through our ideas and designs, We had seen Cero and his cakes featured on TV, and he also sat down and helped with some design suggestions. We choose 3 different flavors for the three layers of our cake. The burnt almond, chocolate raspberry, and red velvet were all moist and full flavor. And they are going to trade a free 1st anniversary cake for a photo of our wedding cake. My brothers wife and her family had recommended we try them, her mother used them for her 25th, 40th and 50th wedding anniversaries, and she had gotten her wedding cake and all her kids birthday cakes from them and we can understand why. They love what they do and it shows. We had thought they were a bit pricey but not after shopping around and getting some other quotes. It did take a little phone tag to set up our tasting appointment but they were really quick at returning emails. They made the wedding cake the best part of our wedding planning. read more

We went here for a wedding cake tasting.. prior to going, I asked about cake prices.. apparently, I didn't ask enough questions because there were so many extra fees, e.g., $150 for our simple design of hat boxes, $150 to cover the cake with white chocolate fondant, and $90 set up and delivery charge (to San Francisco).. anyhow, all in all, our specialty cake request would have been over $1200 for our 150 person, 3-tier cake. Visited Cake Expression recently and had an okay experience. The cakes were nicely presented and the selection was good, but the flavor didn't quite stand out as much as I expected. It was decent overall, just not particularly memorable. The service was fine and the shop was clean and welcoming. They had a lot of choices too - we sampled about 8 slices of cake. When we went in to pick up the cake it was beautiful. The design far exceeded our expectations. I initially made an order through email but decided to cancel almost 3 weeks before the event since I did not need the Cakepops anymore. I asked for my deposit back - and after several emails, calls and voicemail, a week later I was told that it is not refundable. I was never told that it was not refundable, there is no contract made. Fernanda thinks that it says so at the bottom of her emails but nope, all it says is 'Please note that orders are not booked on our calendars until a deposit is paid and we confirm the receipt of that deposit. Quotes for your order do not constitute a contract for services.' NO mention that deposit is not refundable. She should have directed me to the disclaimer that she has on her website that mentions it but how else would I have seen that unless I am told to go into the website? Since I expressed my frustrations, she has told me that she will refund my deposit but has still failed to do so almost a week later. Even sent out a reminder PayPal refund email but no luck. Refunding the deposit takes less than 5 minutes - please don't give me an excuse to say that you were too busy. I think it is unfair to hold money from a customer without fully explaining the terms and conditions and if you've said that you will refund it then you should do it ASAP not drag it on...

I went back to review the invoice she sent and I realized there was a portion that said fondant but it also said buttercream so I just ignored it because I had no problems with the previous cakes I had received. But do come here if you want the best - their Persian sweets are easily the most beautiful and delicious I've ever seen, but their real talent is dealing with me. I am notoriously indecisive and change my mind constantly, yet they remain incredibly accommodating. If they were ever annoyed with my million questions, they deserve an award for not showing it. They handle every order with a level of meticulous care that is unheard of. From small sweets to large cakes, they make sure they truly understand your vision and work with you until the moment you pick up that cake and shove it in your mouth. It was nice that they had red velvet but it seems like it's the go-to choice for most places, which makes it hard not to judge against other cupcakes. It was very good, the cake was moist, and I enjoyed the frosting. But it didn't quite measure up to my favorite vegan red velvet cupcake from Sprinkles. The shop is so cute and there's a good amount of parking. I went on a day when there were two people working, and they were both super nice. I thought the male worker was a bit more helpful, but they were both kind. I'd love to see more than one vegan option on the consistent in-store menu, rather than needing to order ahead.
