I also appreciated the fact that Kyra did not try to upsell us. We asked her how much cake we needed for the # of guests we have. Both she and the baker said that the order we entered would be a LOT of cake and would result in massive leftovers. We would not have space in our fridge for that much leftover cake. I appreciated the fact that Kyra was honest and gave us a good recommendation as opposed to trying to sell us more than what we needed. That type of professional honesty results in repeat customers. And 5 stars on Yelp! Both of the cakes we were delicious.

I said, "You messed up my order, I think you need to eat the cost." She checked with the manager who agreed with me. In the end we got the only two cakes there so it worked out. But, NOT happy that after repeated confirmations they got the date wrong, nor that they asked me to pay the difference.

Renata delivered the cake early on wedding day. She was communicative throughout the entire process. We were happy with the service, communication, and delivery! Since we opted for a wedding on the beach (at the Jacky Durrell Pavilion in Fairfield), we wanted an ocean-themed cake. After searching the internet, we found a gorgeous design and asked if Renata could make something similar. What she delivered was breathtaking. One of guests didn't even think it was a real cake! This is definitely more a place I might go if I have to wait longer for the train in between trains ever since I started transferring in Stratford over Bridgeport. Today's order consisted of a Large Hot Cinnamon Mocha and the two donuts you see in the photo attached. Honestly, nothing was bad about my order. The coffee I got was definitely better than that latte I had Ubered from New Canaan last week. As for the donuts, they were good, but they weren't amazing. I do appreciate that my French Cruller had a chocolate frosting on top, but as you can see from the missing icing some of it stuck to the bag. That's why if someone were to bag my donuts I'd prefer a chocolate glaze over any kind of frosting. I like getting the complete item. Speaking of the chocolate glaze, I liked the donut. Again, not a groundbreaking donut by any means, but I would get it again. The price is good too. Ever since the station cafe started doing a $10 card minimum, I stopped going to it because I can't justify paying $10 for a coffee when I need to use cash for other things. Here, I only needed to pay $7.25 for the entire order, and it honestly made more sense for me to order enough to that amount here. The coffee is cheaper too even if you take the $10 minimum argument out entirely. Where coffee was $3.76 at the station, this one was $3.21 before tax. Yeah, if and when the Waterbury branch has difficulties staying on time, I won't mind coming here again to try more things.
