I've been car browsing because I need a new car. Some of these places are side lots, and I expect them to not have the same expectations as the larger dealers. ( Toyota, Nissan, Honda, Jeep etc. ) I had a bad experience with one of the larger dealers and decided to go smaller. I inquired on a car that was listed for 15,999 . I sent the stock # to an employee and he said it was available. After checking the website again, the price somehow went up to 19,999. It was a 2015 with about 80k miles. Now I know for a fact that my credit isn't perfect, but I did not expect the curveball the sale rep threw at me. He ran the credit app and told me I would need to put at least 50% down. And I thought to myself, what do I look like putting 50% down at a car lot , where more than half of the cars in their inventory have been in accidents...? Almost every cars carfax has one or multiple reported accidents. And If I was putting down 50% of 19,999 , that's 10k pretty much. I could go anywhere with 10k . From the time I stepped foot on their lot until I drove off in my Mercedes-Benz GL450 I was treated like a friend not a customer. Yasmin asked if I knew what I wanted and once I said I wanted the Mercedes-Benz truck but I wasn't sure if my credit would be an issue she showed me the ones they had on the lot and said that the Cal Auto Net team would work hard to have me drive out in what I wanted. So many issues! 1) my key didnt come with a controler and I paid over 100 to the dealers guy to provide me with one. I had to buy it as my cars alarm would set off everytime I tried to open the door with the manual key provided. In total i paid $140 and the dealer paid $100. 2) when i bought the car the tps sensor was on and was told only to add more air to the tires. It turns out none of my wheels had a sensor on them!! They first recommended a mechanic that didn't even offer this service, then when I contacted again they sent me to their nearby mechanic and I had to pay again around $140 to add the sensors and the dealer paid the rest.However, the dealer said he would rebate me at least $100 that I paid and I still haven't seen that money. I even texted if they can send it to me through venmo but no response 3) I had to replace both front & back brakes 4) the first day it rained with this new car, one of my windshield wipers broke! I still have to replace it. 5) one of my cigarette lighters does not work 5) It was so annoying when my paper license plates expired and I contacted them , they said my plates finally arrived and as I urgently needed them I told them if I could go pick them up , he said yeah that he would call.or text later, well nothing!!! I called again the next day because he left me hanging and after I expressed my disappointed of being lied and left hanging I finally got my plates. Keep in mind that I bought their warranty and that is probably why they helped pay for some of the stuff I mentioned. read more

Came in on 5/2/2017 to take a look at a Avalon 2005 I had seen online upon entering i was greeted by Benny he let me know it was on the other lot across the street. When going to the second lot we where greeted by Kasandra she greeted me and my friend with a friendly smile and ended up helping me find a newer model car that fit my monthly payments. I ended up leaving with a Nissan Maxima 2013. I went to look at a car listed online and test drive it and made an appointment. When I arrived it was completely blocked off by other cars so it would be very difficult to get out. They said to check it out without driving, then to go talk about pricing and then I would get to test drive it. It seems odd to talk about negotiating a price before a test drive. Once I sat in the drivers seat I noticed the smell of smoke which I know is very difficult to get out even with detailing the car and cigarette burn marks. They said they would have it detailed again, but I thought if they had already had it detailed and the smell was still there, I didn't see how another detailing would be different. I also noticed a flat tire. Not just low air pressure but it was visibly sinking low and would be un-drivable in its current condition. They were saying they would get new tires. I think they should have the cars in good enough shape so people can test drive them at least before committing to a car or talking pricing. And have it cleaned beforehand so customers don't have to gamble on whether the smell will go away. Of course none of these issues were mentioned online so I had to waste my time and go see it. Overall it didn't seem like they were serious about selling cars. read more

This dealership is horrible at negotiating, especially with cars that aren't even the right value they should sell it for. I drove 2 hours away looking to trade in my car for a Mini Cooper S, looked fantastic on the photos.when I got there, 2 dents by sunroof, 10x10 side swipe scratch off some paint on the right passenger door, cars interior was dirty as if nobody cared to clean, windows weren't tinted as showed in selling picture, and bottom left rear corner paint chipped. HORRENDOUS SERVICE! my fiance´ and I went to go test drive a 2008 Porsche Cayenne S. We called ahead, let them know what vehicle we were interested in seeing + test driving. Before asking our name or any other details they wanted to know cash or finance (a big red flag). However, we drove 50 mins in LA traffic to see the vehicle and test drive it. Upon arrival, the staff was very standoffish and rude. They wanted to agree on a sales price before going through the 'trouble' of allowing us to test drive. We are cash buyers, this will be a 3rd vehicle. We were treated by the staff as if we couldn't afford the car and we were a waste of their time...despite pulling up to the dealership in a 2018 luxury sedan. DO NOT do business with a company like this who cannot handle the simple basics of civility, kindness and human decency. Oddly enough, later that day we purchased a 2009 Range Rover Sport Supercharged....cash. Their loss, our gain. This establishment and their treatment of customers made our skin crawl! read more

Craigslist had a price, called to confirm then said no that it is only good for 24 hours from posting and for cash, finally agreed to a price, stated no accidents or problem with car since 100 miles away, get there and car has check engine light with error code for transmission, car would not go into gear, sleazy finance person said they would sell me a extended warranty to take to get fixed instead of them trying to fix it? Why would I risk buying a car that I couldn't drive off the lot to try to get it fixed through a 3rd party warranty? Asked what if they wouldn't fix, said car sold as is. Salesman Louie was already aware of problem but they just cleared out the code to try to get it off the lot. Called ahead about a Prius said they were really good at negotiating prices. Drive 3 HOURS!!! For them to tell us they won't budge! We have an approved loan from our credit union. Top of the blank check it says "CAN NOT EXCEED THIS AMOUNT" the man tells us that the absolute lowest he can go it $800 above that!!! Tries pushing it on us to buy when we say no he points us to another hybrid which wasn't even comparable to the Prius. We asked if there were any other dealerships that may have a Prius or hybrids in general and tells us no, there wasn't anything close. "We are the only dealership allowed to store them" and points us in the direction of their sister dealership so we go the opposite way to another dealership he swore not to go says it's all "trash" the service was so professional and friendly and they had a Prius I ended up purchasing! Bought my Prius (named her Turby) from "West Side Auto Sales". Would 10/10 recommend them over that place. The sales man kept it 100% real with us! Went in to buy a 2012 BMW and when we wnt to start it the car didn't even start they had to jump start it and they said that the car was sitting for to long and once they jump started it they told me that they would replace the battery and I could pick it up the next day after 12 pm.. but they said I would need to leave a minimum down payment of $1,000 which I did leave on my debit cards and that I had to take the balance the next day after 12 which I did I took a travels cashiers check for $15,632.42 which I did since I was buying the car cash... so 2 hours of me picking up the car and giving them the cashiers check the battery light, check engine light came out.. the car had no AC compressor so I went back to the dealership and they told me that since I paid cash the car was as is.. so I left the car on the lot with the keys and read and signed the exercises my legal option within the 48 hours and walked away. Cancel the traveler check and was not able to get my money for the debit deposit of $1.000. This dealership sell nothing lemon cars, have horrible customer service, they are rude and they are crooks.. Don't ever buy nothing from Cal Auto Net.. read more

Complete scam. I wish I could give this sketchy dealership 0 stars. Communicated with me for several days about a car, made me think they would cut me a deal. The car was listed on their website and Craigslist at $13.7k, but the day I went in to see it for the first time, they had changed the website price to $14.9k and then told me the lowest they could go is $13.7k, even though KBB recommended $12.8k. There was also a pretty large scratch and a small dent not mentioned or pictured on the website or Craigslist. Mathew the manager is the worst. I had a great experience with Cal Auto Net this week. I was in the market for a 2009 Infiniti M35 and scoured all the internet car websites to find the best deal within 200 miles of where I live in Thousand Oaks. They had one that was exactly the color and interior that I was looking for AND it was also the BEST priced within those 200 miles. Connor at the dealership was great to work with. It takes me about 2 hours to get to their location (with LA traffic) and I had my daughter that weekend, so I didn't want to spend my weekend working on my car deal. Connor said he would hold the car for me, even though they had just reduced the price and the car would have probably sold that weekend without me. I was able to get out there the following Monday and when I arrived, they had already pulled the car out of their lot so I could take it for a test drive. The car was in excellent condition and I made the purchase. The next day I brought the car to the Infiniti dealership to have it inspected and sure enough, the service manager confirmed that the car was in great shape, and that the CARFAX that was provided was accurate and that the car had been serviced in the past by Infiniti of Tustin, everything was confirmed by their computer database. Do not buy a car from these people!!! Very quick story. I purchase a Jaguar XF 2009 at this location on January 2018. Everything seem good at first, car was good the guy seemed really cool, and I put a down payment of $3,500 to take the car off the lot plus the binder which was another $210. All seems well until I get a call a few days later from the same guy telling me that because he didn't know I had a repossession on my credit they want the car back or I can redo the contract and pay an extra $500 down. Now to my knowledge and my understanding of credit checks and everybody that I know that ever got a credit check in the history of life, a repossession or anything derogatory on your credit would show up on the credit report right? But get this originally they were asking for 4,000 down. We settled for 3500 however, yet strangely all of the sudden they didn't know I had a repo and they wanted another $500 down. To add insult to injury he told me it was my fault for not telling them I had a repo! So, trying to remain civil, I was like "I'll return the car in a few days because I'm in Colorado". I'm a truck driver currently and I have the money to get another one there's no it's really no big deal to me. He then told me he'll talk to his manager and call me back. Never heard from him since. Keep in mind I was in Denver Colorado at the time so I had to come from Denver Colorado to Los Angeles to return the car and this son of a bitch Cory i believe, told me that the day prior to me arriving they got the call saying that everything was approved and we can keep the original contract. THEN HE TRIED TO LIE AGAIN saying he told me he was gonna work with the bank to get me approved and i came for no reason due to my negligence! No phone call! No courtesy anything at all! God knows I was a hair trigger away from knocking his fat teeth out. So I left the dealership and I got to call the next day from the finance company telling me that nothing was actually settled yet and they have to double check and confirm everything with me first because I did not have a file! These people consistantly lied to me! I'm a strong believer in karma and I'm very well aware of shitty business practices. I'm positive these guys will get what they deserve in the future but for now anybody considering buying a car at this location do not be stupid go somewhere else! Double check the reviews on the dealership do not waste your time or your money!!!
