Quaint spot. Stopped in for breakfast on a week day. Good service, clean restaurant. Liked all the windows.

We stopped in today after a morning of strolling around Peddler's Village, and I'm so glad we did! Peddler's Village has been known for some fairly unimpressive restaurants and we were hoping to get something that wasn't your run of the mill lunch. After reading some quick reviews, we decided to take a few minute walk past the shops to Caleb's. We loved the decor of the restaurant. It felt a bit more modern than other local restaurants without being pretentious and was perfect for a nice lunch. We started with the potato soup (free, thanks to our yelp check-in) It was delicious! It was buttery and creamy and all good things a cream soup should be. We ordered the Noble Pig and the Monte Cristo. YUM!!!! These sandwiches are seriously delicious. The Noble Pig had a pulled pork on it that was stellar. It was seasoned perfectly (garlicky, herby and delicious) and tasted similar to carnitas, and paired with bacon marmalade and spiced ham. We also shared the Monte Cristo, which was on an amazing french toast brioche bun. We loved every bite!! The fries were a bit average, but were nice and hot so they were a perfect lunch side. Our server, Fabrizio, was attentive and friendly. We had a great experience and will be back soon! read more

The restaurant is known for its signature burger. When I ordered, I was told that they were out of hamburgers. I ordered a turkey sandwich instead and was disappointed. Chocolate dessert was just fair. Dessert with berries was better. Service was just fair. read more

"I was very hungover, and honestly still a little drunk, when I went to breakfast here. They do not skimp on they're breakfast servings, three egg omelet, two pieces of toast, and lots o'potatoes! Completely cured my hungover and it was nice and quiet too which was dope cause I had a killer headache. Would def eat there again! A cute baby was there too, which was delightful. Too hot to cook tonight, and tired of the usual suspects. We've always wanted to go when visiting Peddler's Village, but it never worked out. We called, Caleb answered and we had reservations for 2 in no time! Caleb confirmed it was a BYO and we were all set. The menu has a wide variety, it's unusual to find one where every item was one I wanted to try. We had the beet salad, lobster rolls, sustainable salmon, and the crab cakes. Each was memorable. Can't wait to return for dinner, or brunch to try everything else on the menu. I see that Monday is locals 3 courses prix-fixe $24, Tuesday's is burger night time to build your own. Our favorite breakfast/lunch place closed. We found Caleb's American Kitchen thanks to our favorite server Cheryl. Now we can't imagine going anywhere else. Everything is fresh farm to table delicious food. There are always amazing specials. We've tried almost everything and its always wonderful and delicious! ( and healthy)!! read more

Was in town with my mother. This place came recommended. Excellent service. I love that it is BYOB. We shared the HALLOUMI & HUMMUS salad. It was good but tiny. The menu highlights a couple of ingredients that were basically garnish. Not good value for the money. The entrees, on the other hand, were larger portions than I expected. My mother thoroughly enjoyed the SUSTAINABLE ATLANTIC SALMON. I ordered the BEEF FILET MEDALLIONS. The beef was perfectly cooked, the decadent potato croquettes werr delicious and they veggies were cooked perfectly - bot too raw, not overcooked. We were unfortunately too full for dessert. Our waiter was excellent, funny and gave great service. The place was crowded and noisy. read more

Came here with two of my friends for breakfast and all I can say was that my "All American" (2 Blueberry Pancakes, Eggs and crest Beacon) was fresh and fabulous! The pancakes were light not a heavy batter with fresh blueberries inside - plus the best part was that it was served with real maple syrup, not the thick supermarket brand syrup. The Beacon was also delicious! not the Oscar Myer brand. The decor was clean and fresh with grey / white color walls with plenty of seating inside. Plus the prices $$ for breakfast were just right. However, my friend did tell me that their dinner prices were just a little too high $$$ and that she would rather eat somewhere else in town for that money. The staff could not be any nicer and the service was quick. ***Note: there was plenty of parking out front, and we did not have a problem finding a spot. But, I did hear that on Sunday's after church lets out the place is a madhouse and there could be a long wait. All and all, I will be coming back here for breakfast... YUM! YUM! read more

We are in love with Caleb's! Wow, wow and wow! The food is always amazing and the staff are lovely as is the atmosphere. It is also a lovely touch that Caleb comes out and checks in and says hello to all, making you feel like a part of the family. It is our go-to place and we send all of our friends too!! read more

I've been here for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food is always good and they have a bunch of vegetarian options. The pumpkin pancakes with maple butter are awesome! This is my "go to" breakfast spot. I always ask to be seated in Amanda's section, she is always sweet, friendly and quick (even first thing in the morning). PS. You will never see the bottom of your coffee cup at Caleb's unless you ask them to stop bringing it :) read more

Staff was wonderful. Worst breakfast I ever had. I ordered one of their morning specials. It was supposed to be an egg skillet with sausage, cheese, roasted tomato purée. The eggs were raw in the middle (not under cooked). The tomato purée was Heinz ketchup. (Trust me, I know the difference). It really was the worse thing I have ever been served. read more

Food is always excellent, service is good and atmosphere is lovely. I go here often for breakfast since they serve it until noon daily and later on weekends. Owner is great-he accommodated us last minute on a last minute parents night out. Food is always delicious and appealing. read more

Usually love calebs, had eggs benedict. the spinach was too spinachy, too bitter, a little salt and fat take away bitterness fyi. Too much ham, i prefer Canadian bacon. I was surprised by the potatoes, greasy, not a fan, wish theyd offered me fruit. read more

This is a fabulous spot for breakfast and lunch! With plenty of options on the menu from crabcakes Benedict, to creme brulee French toast, I have not been disappointed with anything I have eaten! Disappointing Valentine's dinner at Caleb's. We eat here regularly and so expected to enjoy the same quality of food and service we normally enjoy at Caleb's. The service and hospitality, as usual, was exceptional. The food, however, was not up to normal standards. Both of my lobster tails were undercooked - still quite translucent and rubbery with cold crabmeat stuffing on top and served with cold risotto and vegetables. Our dessert was missing several of the elements that were supposed to be included. We did not feel comfortable bringing any of this to the attention of our server because the couple at the table next to us was so close that they repeatedly interjected themselves into our private conversation. Just moved to the neighborhood. Wife and I went to Caleb's for lunch. I had the frittata-a but dry but not bad, she had a salad which was far too overdressed. Iced tea was old and stale. Mostly disappointed. Ambiance - close seating and loud. Food - barramundi was a bit dry and over done but the veggies etc helped a bunch. Really liked crisp lobster rolls appetizer. My partner had the miso glazed salmon and reported, correctly, that her salmon is better. The tuna poke was a first time so hard to rate. I drank almost the whole liter of water bc my food was too dry. Owner/chef walked around giving out free shots of raspberry white chocolate - but not us. Prices too high. However good food is priceless so if it were superb, then twice the cost would have been acceptable. We will not go back. We are not going back. read more

We've been here three times. Once for dinner with friends, twice for breakfast. Dinner was excruciatingly loud, the meal was ok, but not very inspired. Breakfast has been a hit for my wife once, a miss the second time. Both of my breakfast experiences have been the same - room temp meal accompanied by potatoes that have been sitting on the flat top way too long. The wait staff spend more time in the kitchen talking to each other than they spend doing their jobs. I'm sorry to be so direct - but our waiter never checked on us after serving our meals... not an offer of more coffee nor an inquiry into how our meal was... after finishing our meal - and 10 minutes of looking at our dishes - we had to get up and ask for our check... and still nobody asked how our meal was. $25 for breakfast for two is fine but one should expect basic service. It will be a long time before we give it another chance. That being said - your experience may vary - hopefully it will be a better experience than ours. read more

Caleb's is almost there. Food was very good but not great. Just needs some additional small touches. Adding a wasabi sauce to the tuna dish for example. Simple salt and pepper seasoning. The food is a great value for the quality and quantity. I will be back. read more
