Always amazing experience! I love their yuca fries and platanos( crispy green plaintain) and also their Maduros (sweet plantain)! Also their chicken tacos and sammies are always amazing. Amazing food, over an hour away from me but it was so worth the drive. Got the cubano, lomo saltado and fish tacos! All were super good. The bread for the cubano was very fresh and tasty. The yuka side was also delicious, and the onions were a refreshing touch. read more

They used to be really good. Now it's average. People go there for location and all of that but it's not a great experience. The food is alright. Nothing to write home about. The portioning of the empanadas or the fish tacos is kind of hit and miss. Also the menu online is one of many. The prices seem to change day to day. I have paid 3.95 -5.95 for a single fish taco on several different dates. Parking is kind of bad and all over the place and you have to walk on those uneven small gravel filler rocks. It's uncomfortable and awkward to walk on. 3 stars is pretty generous for the Lumpkin Street location I'd you ask me. read more

This is a great place for food. There's no alcohol but the food is delicious and filing. There is indoor and outdoor seating with TVs all around where they played the soccer game. It is nicely decorated with small boats outside and the tables painted of different flags. When ordering the food everyone at the counter was friend and helpful when we had questions about the menu. read more

It was a late lunch, so I did not have to wait very long. It's an open restaurant, with picnic tables everywhere to sit at. I took a long look at the menu, and made my choice, they gave me a number to put at my table, and I sat down under the umbrella and felt a nice breeze. A nice couple and their child were just finishing up, but he wanted to play on the playground kiddie equipment, before they left. Mom allowed it and her little boy played a bit, before they walked home. The decor is festive here, and there are a few TV's around to watch sports! It's a great spot for good food! Great casual dining in the heart of Athens, GA. Good food with reasonable prices this is one of my favorite spots in Athens. Although parking can be a pain at the 5points location, there is usually plenty of parking at the east side location. Unfortunately, everyone else also seems to love eating here too so the wait time even to order food can become outrageous as well as it being difficult to find seating. read more

One of the employees gave everyone ice cream for free. The person who took our order was friendly and polite. Service was very quick. Traveling to North Georgia from Florida. We were looking for good food at a dog friendly place to have lunch, stretch our legs, etc. This place did NOT disappoint. Waiting for our party to gather, I was amazed at how many people were coming in and out...that speaks volumes and tells me people like their food and come back for it. Our party of 6 (plus our pup) liked everything we got. You order inside and they provide you a number to hold at your table until it is delivered. Friendly staff. Good Food. Nice atmosphere. A nostalgic favorite of mine; great location in the heart of 5 Points with friendly staff and good quality food. This location has a dive-y feel with the option to BYOB (for a small fee). It can get really busy with lines way out the door, but lines usually move fairly fast. On busy days you may have to wait for a table. I recommend the fish tacos, Milanesa Cubano, fries, and pink sauce. read more

Really great spot for food! They do accept credit card (some signs outside say cash only) The food was fresh and flavorful, my favorite part was the salsas! There was a salsa verde and an orange salsa which were both spicy and delicious! I didn't love sitting outside because of the flies and the tables were weirdly sticky but I'd likely return because the food was so good and the employees were so nice! read more

A friend who lives in town took me here for a somewhat late lunch on a Sunday afternoon. It's a funky, fun place located in the burbs of Athens but not too far out. It's easy to understand why it's popular, especially on a Sunday when many places are closed. No liquor is offered, but you can BYOB for a small $2.50 charge. The drill is you order at the counter, they give you a number to place on your table, and they bring the food to your table when it's ready. The menu is extensive with lots of Latin American dishes to choose from. I chose the Peruvian Beef Lomo Saltado. It was good, but it wasn't the best example of this dish I've had. I'm spoiled in this regard, though. I'm sure I'll be back in any event when I return to Athens again next year. read more

We preferred the fries over the yuca frita, which was cut really thick and wasn't crispy or hot. - Maduros ($4.95): Sweet, perfectly ripe, so good - El Sandwich Cubano with Steak - Beef Empanada ($2.75): Definitely recommend the beef over the chicken - Cubano Especial ($8.45): My brother-in-law gets this, so I can't vouch for it. But he says it's the only thing he's ever gotten. It'd a Cuban with cut-up hot dogs. Everything we've had here that has chicken in it wasn't the best. I would stay away from the chicken if you can. Working in Athens for the day and after looking through suggestions in my Vegan Atlanta group I came across Cali n Tito's was one of the suggestions. After looking at the menu I decided to give them a try. Located near UGA this is definitely a hangout for students and adults alike. I was there at 2pm in the afternoon and it was packed. Apparently there is a $2 BYOB which would be popular for people of all ages. The menu has a vegetarian section with a decent amount of choices and I opted for the El sandwich Cubano veggie. It has sautéed mushrooms, onions, red & green peppers, jalapeños, lettuce, tomatoes, cilantro, zucchini, cheese, Mayo (I opted out of cheese and Mayo), avocado, and salsa verde. The jalapeños gave it the extra kick that I loved. The sandwich was very flavorful and delicious. Next time I'm in the area I will definitely stop by to try their other vegetarian options. read more

The green sauce provided on the side added a great kick. My friend and I also ordered a side of maduros.
