Menu is diverse but carries the traditional of appetizers, vermicelli, pho and rice dishes. Each table has the traditional hoisin sauce, siracha, and chilli paste. Fork is available on request. Water is free. Order the cali pho which is the pho combination but has seafood in it. So that's a plus But here's the major difference with this place. The spoon you are using...is what you normally get if you order something that feeds at least 4 people. The bowl is huge. Onions, cilantro, jalepenos and bean sprouts are all on the side. It's not on the bowl so that's a good thing. Can request extra lime but don't know if it's charge. Broth is not too oily. Majority of the negative reviews come from the service which I agree. You have to constantly raise your hand if you need something. Party order two lemonades and I was almost done with my bowl and place wasn't even busy around 8pm Overall, recommend on giving this place a try. read more

Everything in the bowl of noodle soup comes from pre-prepared ingredients sourced from a large food supplier. The soup tasted artificial, flat, and utterly devoid of fat and aromatic oils. This is a strong indication that the soup was made from a pre-mixed package. Because when you eat authentic pho, you get a real beef broth made from meat, bones, and aromatics like roasted garlic, ginger, onions, and spices. This means there will be fat and oils--the good stuff--present in the soup.  To be clear, sourcing from a food supplier isn't a bad thing. For many businesses, this is the most economical way of staying in business. But this also means the restaurant would likely serve lower-quality food and wouldn't stand out from other restaurants in the same genre. read more

Originally this was my favorite go to pho place. but the service there has been getting worse and worse. The broth was my favorite, but this weekend I found a literal bug/parasite in my soup! They do not greet you when you come. I have come here a couple of times. Every time I order they always forget one thing I ordered and I never get it or remind them. So it's their loss. My friend told me about this place and wanted to try it out. Strange choice of vegetables for vegan pho . It said eight different kinds of vegetables on the details on Uber Eats and all it had was green onions, onions, broccoli, and cauliflower which really doesn't taste good inside of pho. t's just more of an Americanized pho, but the vegetables were pretty soggy and bland. I would recommend changing the veggies. There was bean sprouts and slices of jalapeño so I don't know if they were acting like those were part of the vegetables, but that's not really what I feel like you would assume for a vegan pho of veggies, those are toppings. There was no herbs, just cilantro, which I feel like as a big part of Vietnamese pho. I understand not everyone does the same thing but just making this comment in case people wanted a lot of herbs and lime because this one doesn't have many. What really disappointed me as they put one slice of lime for the entire soup and you can't even taste it. One baby slice :( the lime is my favorite part so this was sad. It was so much better before Covid.. I feel just a little bad leaving this review because of the husband ( he didn't seem rude but who knows ) but the lady...RUDE. First time customer here. Came in close to midnight for a warm bowl of noodles which turned out to be a complete nightmare. To start off, there's a guy controlling the parking lot and charging $3 for parking which isn't a lot so that wasn't a big deal. My partner and I got to choose our own seats and the waiter came to take our orders about 10 minutes later. We got the brisket pho and chicken pho. Let me just say that the chicken was super over cooked and tough. No matter how good or bad the food was, this is what ruined the entire experience for me.. The waiter comes to place both bowls down and the bowl which was placed in front of me completely spilled all over me. The bowl cracked in half and the piping hot soup spilled all over me. It happened so fast that I couldn't even jump up in time to avoid it. The waiters reacted so slowly and on top of it all, I HAD TO REQUEST for napkins to dry myself up. There's no surprise that the soup is hot, but all the waiter did was say sorry. There wasn't even any curiosity on if I was fine or anything. I obviously had to change tables since the current one, chairs and surrounding floors had soup everywhere. The employees also didn't even clean up the mess during the entire time I was there. I took a look at it soon as I secured my fur baby and the whole fried chicken stood out to me immediately. (I've had it and liked it at other Vietnamese spots, so kinda excited they had it here.) I asked what it came with, "Fries." I thought that was a first... and weird, usually comes with rice, but okay. I'll take it as they serve it. My party each got a bowl of pho: #1 and #2. We also asked to start with the egg rolls. Water for 2 of us, Coke for the third. The sides for pho as well as utensils came out very quickly. So that was a great sign. It wasn't long before the rest of our food came out, too! Okay, awesome, super fast! CHA GIO: Came with 8 pieces, yes, but they're small. (Like... Filipino lumpia small.) I've never seen them this size, but really didn't care as long as it packed good flavor. First off: they were undercooked. Although the inside was alright, the skin was still soft, almost tough. There was barely any crisp in it. Second thing, there were no veggies with it. These normally come with lettuce, mint, pickled carrots and radish. I had to ask for them and when I did, they only gave lettuce. Ugh... it wasn't terrible overall, but has plenty of room for improvement. PHÓ #1 (plain) and #2 (rare steak): the broth had good depth. It was delicious. My party liked it. But they were really frugal with the meat with bowl #2. They only gave 3 small and thin slices IN A GIANT BOWL! Really, it was mostly broth. They should have just used a smaller bowl. Also lots of missing sides: no mint, no basil. WHOLE FRIED CHICKEN: Looked great. Fried to a great crisp. But when I got to the inside, it was evident the whole thing was cooked unevenly. Some parts were tough, others were slightly bloody. The fries appeared like they were from a frozen bag. The ketchup, salt and pickled daikon/carrots did very little. FOOD: 2. It wasn't the worst ever, but needs tons of work. VALUE: 1. Absolutely not worth it. SERVICE: 1. For many reasons. First: they forgot our drinks. Second: they didn't check on us to make sure we were good to go, hence the missing drinks. We also needed napkins. We had to get that on our own. Third: they didn't honor the Yelp perk even after they said they would. "We don't do that anymore, that was along time ago." Blah. Fourth: although we were getting ready to leave, our server was quick to get the bill and just stood there for the cash tip I was barely preparing to set on the table. Talk about awkward. Para cuando regresó la mesera trajo el steak y para quien le guste comer pho sabe que él steak al estar crudo se tiene que poner rapido en la sopa porque sino no se cocina y echa a perder toda la sopa. Pues bueno, eso pasó con la sopa de mi esposo. Y ni siquiera se disculparon. Cuando nos ibamos y mi esposo ya habia pagado la mesera sale al parking a decirnos que no nos habia cobrado los extra noodles que pedimos. Lo pagamos obviamente. I couldn't finish all my food and so I wanted to take the left overs home and they charged me $1 for the takeout container. The containers cost them $0.10 or less. I've been a long term customer of this place because it's close to my job, but I will not be going back here. I'm done with all these food establishment exploiting customers. Charging $1 for a takeout container is what's called being 'penny wise, pound foolish'. I used to eat here at least 2 times a week. Not anymore. The owner must be desperate, not smart, or possibly both. With there being so many Vietnamese restaurants in the area, I would consider this a really foolish policy. In addition to the owner being cheap and exploiting customers by charging for a takeout container, the tip amounts they recommend on the check are supposed to be based on the pre tax total, but this place is calculating their tip suggestions on the total amount of the check. I highly recommend Pho Lala. It's on Vermont, not too far from this place. I actually prefer Pho Lala over this place, but frequented this place because it was close to where I work. From now on I will take the extra 7 minutes to go to Pho Lala. read more
