Pho 2000 is officially my new go to pho spot. I've tried so many places that look cute and get hyped reviews, but the food never really delivers. This one is different. As someone who's Vietnamese, I can confidently say this place hits. I was honestly skeptical at first since it's in Koreatown and I worried it might lean more Korean than Vietnamese, but nope. The broth is rich, flavorful, and tastes exactly like the pho I grew up eating at home. You can tell by the meatball alone. It's high quality and way better than what most places serve. Plus, it's the perfect solo dining spot. Chill, no one bothering you, just you and your bowl of pho. They also provide a generous amount of garnishes right when you sit down, so you can load up on bean sprouts, onions, and herbs exactly how you like it, which is really nice. If you know, you know. Any pho spot with a number in the name is usually elite. The flashy, trendy places don't even come close to tasting this good. And bonus points for affordability. It's $15 a bowl instead of the $20 plus you see everywhere else. The Korean auntie was super fast, adorable, and helpful, and the food came out really quickly. My Korean pho go-to place. It's been a year since I last visited this place. I ordered the egg rolls and the pho combination. It's not bad, but it's not as tasty now that I've discovered pho in the SGV. Pretty quick service! You sit down, you automatically get ice water, you order your food, and you start eating. The service is so horrible. The lady with glasses is so rude. We can't even ask her for a cup of water with out her getting mad and rolling her eyes. She also got mad because we asked for no onions. Whatever you do, do not go to Pho 2000 around Western Ave. Today (May 14, 2026), around 11:00 AM, a friend and I were eating a bowl of pho there when we were absolutely horrified. We found a cockroach in the pho we were eating. It was the nymph of a large, flying cockroach (specifically, an American cockroach)--and the fact that a nymph was found *inside* the pho implies that the infestation in the kitchen has already spread completely out of control, doesn't it? Isn't that absolutely spine-chilling? The thought of large cockroaches teeming throughout the kitchen... What was even more appalling, however, was the server's attitude. We had actually found a strand of hair in our pho earlier, but we decided to let that slide and overlook it. Then, shortly after, the cockroach appeared. When we first informed the server that we had found a cockroach, they offered a perfunctory, half-hearted apology--acting as if it were no big deal--and tried to walk away. We stopped them and asked to speak to the owner, but they told us the owner wasn't there because they had gone to the hospital. So we asked them to at least give the owner a call, but they claimed they couldn't do that either. Restaurants that operate like this need to be shut down immediately. Their foods are over priced and their tables, chairs are so beaten up! My server who is a Korean old lady was very rude. She didn't give us cups of water until I asked for ( our orders came out first) and when I asked a to-go-box for my son's small sized leftover, She gave me her " Huh~?!" face and shook her head like " why do you take the small amount of the leftover ". Pictures can't do justice but my audit is very sound. I've been going to several Pho houses within a few mile radius to see if there is anything that stands out. And like you guess Pho is for the most part Pho. Having said that, Pho 2000 stands out. You will not get better egg-rolls. There are meaty and very crispy, and they come with hearts of romaine leaves that you can roll them and dunk in a dipping sauce to die for. I go there just for their egg rolls. But their #2 on the menu is extremely good. It's rare beef, tripe, and a few other things along with a nice amount of herbs and other toss in veggies makes this my favorite place. We live walking distance to this shop and I have to say it's one of the easiest places to order and eat. The food comes out quickly, there is always parking, and the service is friendly enough. I would say the food isn't 4 or 5 stars, but because it is so easy to order and get your food, I give it an extra star. This place is can be full or empty but, have customers coming in and out all the time. The price is standard and they have a standard portion size. All pho is served with a plate of onions and another plate with mint, bean sprouts, mint, and lime. Little Tai "Pho Tai"- 9/10 Broth is ripping hot you which is great for a cold day. Very clean taste and noddle portion is great. The beef I think needs to be sliced a bit thinner or maybe use a more tender cut. read more

First off, they take card (Visa and MC), so ignore that old photo in the Yelp album. I got the combination #1 & #2 with a side of egg rolls and ordered to-go. When I got home and opened the bag of food, I was surprised to find a couple of bags of steamed onions alongside the regular pho vegetable sides. I've never seen that -- even in the SGV. It was just okay. Its probably hard to make pho really really good but at the same time it is hard to mess up pho too. We had the beef pho with ox tail as well as the chicken pho. The beef pho was decent but the ox tail wasn't as tender as it could be. All in all still a decent bowl of pho. The chicken pho was actually better imo and there was tons of chicken breast meat in there. It is definitely worth mentioning how tender and juicy the chicken breast meat was. There was only ONE SLICE OF LIME and TWO SLICES IF JALAPEÑOS shared between FIVE PEOPLE. I also forgot to mention that the onions were really hard and really hard to chew on (I didn't eat the lime or any of that because I was to disturbed and disgusted) so yeah when I put the onion inside my soup started to bubble??? Idk if they passed science class but I'm pretty sure that doesn't pass the FDA. but besides all that let's talk about the service.... It's Korean-owned, and the interior design is very much of a typical Asian restaurant - green table cloths & wooden chairs (how you know the place will be bussinnn) I ordered the pho tai and it was great! For $16 you really don't get much value here. Skimpy on the protein, and yet the noodles were nice and didn't fall apart in the watered-down broth. The vegetables were not so fresh either and it really made this place seem like they were cutting corners wherever possible. An order of the Spring Rolls was another level of disappointment. They were simple with their filling with mostly greens and very light on the other usual accompaniments. The shrimps were of meager stature also. Well! It's been a little over a year since I went back and it was a highly anticipated return. I wanted to have the right weather so it would hit just a little harder. On the plus side they now take card! On the down side man is the service trash. Significantly worse than before. This should be a five star place because their food is that good. I got the oxtail again and the super bowl I believe it's called (it's got all the pho options on the menu thrown in there) and they were great. The menu says that you can have more broth or noodles if you dine in so of course I wanted to dine in, I've waited a year for this broth! Every table was occupied. We were there for maybe 30 or 40 minutes from begining to end. They didn't stop by our table once. Not to check that the food was ok, not to refill water or ask if we needed anything, not to drop off our check, nothing. I've worked in a restaurant, when you're slammed youre slammed but how do you not check on a table for half an hour? Especially when there's only like 6 tables? When I got up to ask for the check and pay for the bill I asked if it was possible to have a little more broth, she was aware no one had gone to check our table, she seemed almost offended that I asked and sternly answered no. Ok sure. All that being said, unless it's dead inside in and you're comfortable asking your server for things (because they probably still won't pay attention to you) I suggest you just get your food to go and enjoy it at home! I want to give it 2 stars because it was such a bad experience - side note the table across from us had to return their food because they found hair in it- but the pho is just so good. I was feeling a bit under the weather so when I came in 40 mins before the said closing time, they were cleaning up. I understand they need one hour to prepare to close but it's a bit misleading. I suggest put the actual closed time and schedule your workers an hour extra to close the store. I spent more money trying to get a ride to and back home with nothing due to the inconvenience this has caused me. To top it off, they offer me a menu. For what? To order? That upset me even more. I've been coming to this place for a few years now, especially when it's cold or I am sick. Their oxtail pho is my personal go to comfort food in the winter, paired with either the spring rolls or egg rolls. Love this place. Yes I did give it a 3 star. Just cause the noodle portion has gotten way smaller. It's better to just dine in. You get extra noodles for free. Meat oxtail portion has gotten smaller. It use to come in its one container. Which says it's was bigger. But the food quality and price is good. But the mint and bean sprouts was a bit old to me. They need to keep a look out for the brown. The sprouts was turning browns also. They don't give small containers for the sauce anymore it's all packets and you need like 20 hoisin sauce packet for that one container they use to give.
