There's a new burger spot in town! It's pretty good, but with a little tweaks here and there, they can be a lot better. I had the Classic Stack Burger combo for $11.99. It came with a Angus Classic Cheese Burger, house fries, and a beverage. It's a pretty good deal. I asked the gentlemen at the counter if they could temp my burger at medium or a nice pink, but I received a well done burger. I little more training with the line cook would be beneficial. On a good note, the classic burger was very tasty. The burger came with pickles, although they forgot to place pickles in my burger, tomatoes, red onions, cheese, lettuce, and cali sauce on a brioche bun. As a whole, the burger was tasty, and I appreciated the charring on the exterior of burger, which resulted in added flavor. The fries were good, but a little inconsistent. There were more flimsy ones and crispy ones in the mix. The seasoning was good and they tasty good. Service was friendly and food came out in a good manner. Just found this place by accident last night. They are new and cool. The place is clean and simple to navigate the menu. Both the Philly and Cali stack burger were both delectable. It is hard to beat a brioche bun and crispy French fries like what they serve here. Service was welcoming and fast, for a new place that is impressive as it takes weeks/months for other places to work out the kinks. They are still in a soft opening and training new staff as it is difficult to find people willing to work in this area. Hope this place thrives as this area was lacking a real burger joint. Just finished our first meal at Cali Stack burgers in Lakeside. It's on Woodside Ave and easy to find. I found out they are just coming up on the anniversary of their first year of being open. We both had the Calli Stack burger, which was very good. The combo with the burger fries and soda is $14. A nice sized patty which was cooked perfectly, giant pieces of bacon and the bun was soft and delicious. The fries are crispy outside and soft inside. The restaurant is very roomy and there were plenty of seats available while we were here. It's very nice and clean. The staff is very good. Really friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend this place. read more

This is right near my kids' place in Lakeside. I always run to the Dollar Store next door; always see the $10.99 special on the window of Cali and decided to finally try it. (My son passed his drivers test and we wanted a quick celebratory meal and his friends said Cali was really good). It was excellent! 1st time here and we will definitely be coming back. My wife got the Cali Stack combo and she loved it. I got the 4x4 and it was ALOT! Almost too much of a good thing since it was just meat cheese and sauce. I got a couple orders of pickles on the side to cut through the heaviness. The service was pleasant and efficient, it was a very good value as well. My only gripe is they give you these juicy, schloppy burgers and they have these super thin dollartree type napkins! I decided to give this place a try as it was a couple of minutes from my house. I ordered a bbq burger, fries, and a drink. I thought the bbq burger was really good and the ingredients were fresh. The packing of the food items were neat and clean. We also had a mushroom Swiss burger and onion rings and that burger was really good too. Where do I start!! We came down to Lakeside to buy a stove. The cellar stood up, so we decided to have lunch, and we ended up here. Needless to say, everything happened for a reason. My husband and I had an amazing lunch here. Customer service was amazing. I had their Buffalo chicken sandwich. The chicken tasted fresh. The sauce was delicious, and I finished my meal before my husband, and that never happens. My husband had the mushroom burger, and he enjoyed it very much. Good quality ingredients assembled into a great menu selection. I haven't tried everything on the menu but I have tried many of the items and I haven't been let down.
