I came to this location because my family has used Caliber for previous repairs and I was told they were reputable. I went through the process with my insurance and brought my car over which was the easiest part of the whole process. I want to start with saying the front staff is friendly and polite and seem to have their end under control. Unfortunately, whoever their mechanics seem to slack at their job, big time. I dropped my car off August 25, and they kept it til September 12. I was updated frequently throughout the repairs which was very nice of them. However keeping my car for almost 3 weeks you would think it would be ready to go upon pickup. When I came to pick up my car and it was brought out, there were visible gaps between a few parts that were not flush with the rest of the car. I asked to have those adjusted and was told it would be a quick fix no longer than 15 minutes. I waited almost 50 minutes before my car was brought back out to me, multiple times I could hear the staff in the body shop laughing and joking around the entire time through the door. By the time my car was "ready" I truthfully just wanted to get going with my day and drove off with the one piece I pointed out being adjusted. Since I'm not a car person I had my father who works for Toyota, who manufactured my car, double check the work that was done. We found additional flaws in the repair. The hood replaced on my car is uneven with a large gap on the right side, and rubber sealing poking out in places. Now I will have to come back to Caliber yet again, and wait god knows how long to get a repair on a car I already dropped off for almost 3 weeks. Luckily all I had to pay was my deductible through my insurance but if I had to pay out of pocket this service would not be worth the value. At the moment I'm not particularly impressed with the repairs being done here. Shop around and find a place that can get it right the first time around. read more

I went there with one side of my bumper hanging off (my own fault, no collision) thinking the entire bumper might need to be replaced, and as a senior on a fixed income, I was a bit worried about cost. I was helped by Mike, he took a look at it, said maybe it could be "snapped" back into place, he went and got some tool(s), in just a few minutes he was back, said it was done! I wasn't even there for 10 minutes total, plus, they have a very nice waiting area too! I was even more surprised when he didn't charge me for fixing it! Mike, thank you, thank you! This has to have been one of the worst experiences that I have had with a body shop. I can only assume that it boils down to the person who was handling my repairs, as I have had work done here before and had an awesome experience with Shawn. My experience was so great, that I brought my car back when I needed repairs again. Let me start at the beginning, I was side swiped for the second time in 5 months, and needed body work on the driver's side. The person who hit me had barebones coverage through Geico, but with the estimate that I received, believed that the repairs would be within the $5000 maximum. First and foremost, once I brought the care to Caliber, the estimate went from around $2400 (Geico's estimate) to $3999 after the tear down. I agree to the repairs, and they start the work. I received very little in updates compared to my prior experience, but my expected return date was 3 weeks after the car dropped off. A week before my car was set to be completed, I received a call from Travis on a Friday, letting me know that my car should be ready by end of day, possibly the following Monday. The car ends up not being ready until that following Monday. I receive a call letting me know that the repairs exceeded the $5000 and was approximately $5700. I was quite surprised, as this was a great jump from the $3999 estimate, and meant that I would then have to go through my insurance for repairs. Why I wasn't informed of this the Friday before, I do not know, but it definitely would have helped to expedite things, as I had to reach out to my insurance to re-open my claim, so they would cover the repairs. By Wednesday, all was cleared and I was able to pick up my car. It's only a mile from my house, so I walk to go and get it. When I arrive, I receive the documents stating the repairs that were done, and signed for the car. Travis walked me to my car, and I inspected the car. There were numerous items that were damaged: the outside window trim was warped, the driver side window did not roll down completely, the arm rest leather was torn, the child window screen was missing, the rear door panel lamp was not functioning, the blackout tape was scratched, and there was a piece of fabric under the seat hanging, that I had never seen before. They had also placed the window from the door panel that was replaced in the trunk of my car. The only reason I noticed this was because I looked in the trunk trying the find the window shade. I pointed out these items to Travis, and he seemed confused. He went looking for the window shade, and when he came back I went over the concerns. His manager, I believe Michael, came out and reviewed everything, and assured me that the items would be repaired/replaced. They would call me when the replacement items were in, and I would be able to have the items addressed within the day and receive my car back the same day. I was slightly peeved, as they had my car for over 3 weeks, and didn't do any quality control whatsoever. Not to mention, they cleaned the inside of my car impeccably, except the rear arm rest. There was food and crumbs all inside the armrest and cup holder. Attention to detail goes a long way, especially when ultimately receiving over $7000 for repairs from my insurance. Unfortunately, the driver window was not recognized until after I had driven off with the car. I went to roll it down, and it would only go down halfway. I immediately returned to have it addressed, and again Travis seemed confused, almost as if saying, "What do you want me to do about it?" He took the car to the back to have them look at it, and they were able to fix that. I asked for something in writing to document what would be repaired/replaced when I returned my car, and he typed out a generic document with the listed items. I took a picture of it while sitting in the waiting area, so that I have documentation of when it was received, as well as a follow up email to Travis. I ended up bringing my car back about a week later for the rest of the repairs, and dropped it off. When it was brought back to me, unfortunately the arm rest fix was simply patchwork. You can still see the outline of the damage. After receiving my car back, Travis was apologetic about the experience and asked that if I received a survey, that I not fill it out. I am very unhappy with the overall experience, especially compared to my previous experience with Shawn. I hope to not need any collision services again, but if I do, I probably will go elsewhere. read more

Michael looked at my truck and buffed out all the scratches and made the damages less visible. He did this free of charge! I got into an accident on July 18th, submitted a claim with USAA that afternoon and decided to go with an approved USAA body shop. I narrowed it down between Caliber Collision and another local body shop after reading the reviews. My husband called both shops and felt comfortable with LORENA. He said she was extremely helpful, friendly and very easy to talk to. So we chose Caliber. At the beginning of the process, my husband took in my car for them to look at the damages. BRAD gave him an estimated timeline of two weeks. After we dropped off my car, Brad would send my husband text messages on Tuesdays and Fridays just to keep us updated on the progress of our car. We loved how easy and convenient it was! My car was ready before the two weeks estimate! We were supposed to pick it up after 5:00 PM, but had a previous engagement planned. So they were able to accommodate our schedule and picked it up four hours ahead of schedule. When we picked up my car, it was in BETTER condition than when we first bought it! Caliber detailed the inside and outside so it looked brand new! I definitely wasn't expecting that from an auto body shop. And we couldn't even tell where the damages were on my car! We came in for an estimate and we were quoted $290. We dropped off the car and they said it would probably be done by the end of the day. Not a huge deal, but they had it done by the end of the next day. Then when we went to pick up the car and all the work was done, they had increased the price by $30. A company should under promise and overdeliver. This company it seems over promises and under delivers. I would not recommend caliber collision in Brea. read more

This place is a must for your body work. People working there are super nice and they update you on time. A lot of places are short-staffed and I understand the frustrations. But they try best to serve their customers. Don't waste your time going to a small local body shop who can't guarantee it's work. I got a call when my car been repaired done on Friday at 3:30pm and they told me that I can come and pick my car up and when I asked them what time you guys close they said 5:30pm and we close on weekends so you have to pick it up on Monday if you can't today, but we actually told the insurance that the car done and ready for pickup and they said you probably gonna pay for your car rental because we told the insurance company that the car done and once we told them that they are not gonna continue paying for your rental!!! So I'm really don't know how they did that, they even didn't tell me a day before or something or at least on Friday morning so I can make it. Was first and last time to go to that sucks body shop. They had my car for a month and had to do make repairs to include replacing the whole frame, which should have obviously been a total loss. When i went to pick it up the guy told me that it doesn't benefit them to deem a car a total loss because they only get paid a fraction for doing the repairs. Seems like they purposely kept it under the threshold of a total loss to get the most money out of the insurance. Now my truck is worth half the price and couldn't trade it in if i wanted to. I've also brought my other vehicle here after it was in an accident in 2022, almost 2 years later I'm still missing a piece of interior that has been on back order. Ironically, when I bought the car, I had a similar dent pulled out on the opposite side of the bumper with less than stellar results. So this go-round I found Caliber Collision to do the job right. They were extremely helpful and provided great service. I gave them my insurance info and they had me in the same day with work started shortly after. They kept me up to speed on everything and even finished ahead of schedule. When the car came back it looked better than when I bought it. I took my truck in two months ago. Brad did the estimate and said he would call me as soon as the parts were in and they were ready to work on it. I called today and they couldn't find any of my information finally after I gave them the date and time of my appointment, they figured out that the insurance company didn't get back to them. They tried to blame the insurance company but I feel Brad should have checked up on my claim. I will gladly change this review if everything works out. My son was hit on the rear bumper waiting for a left turn signal when another car tried to sneak past him on the left and get in the other, inner left turn lane. Caliber Collision was the place we were told to take it by the guy's insurance company just to get a quote. Caliber acts like the insurance adjuster for the insurance. I am very picky with my cars and was kind of apprehensive about using Caliber. Brad came out and was very pleasant. He took his time looking over the damage and wrote a fair damage estimate. He added the damage could be more extensive underneath the bumper cover and that he would write that down as well, We originally planned to take it to a shop we've used forever but decided to try Caliber. Brad was very nice when we dropped the car off on a Tuesday and gave a completion time of the following Tuesday. I got regular text updates on the car's status and three days later, Brad called and said the car would be done early and that I could pick it up later that day. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the repair. Brad said more damage to parts underneath the bumper cover were discovered and all of it was fixed as well. He gave us the repair and parts invoice noting all that was done. The repair was awesome, done correctly and finished ahead of time. I am very happy and would use Caliber again. I would also recommend them. Based on my experience with Caliber Collision, I'd give them a 10 out of 10. read more
