My insurance referred me to Caliber Collision in Burbank. They did the repair to my driver side window/door. Sometime later the door/window began to rattle, sounded as if something was loose, so I returned to have it fixed. I was told it had nothing to do with the repairs, not their responsibility so would not fix despite the warranty and the fact that my door was fine prior to the accident and THEIR POOR REPAIR job. They got paid by the insurance company and washed their hands of any responsibility. Caliber Collision doesn't need your work and treats customers poorly bc they have thrive off of insurance jobs for a profit. Find another repair shop that stands behind their work and will honor warranty as stated. Avoid large chain repair shops. Mom n pops shop are best. I took my car here to replace a stolen catalytic converter. It took a month to get it back because the part was in back order. Well when I eventually got it back the car wouldn't run properly & the check engine was still on. It wouldn't go past 20 mph. I made a U turn & took the car right back & told them what was wrong with it & they said they couldn't do anything about it. They said I needed to take it to a mechanic to see why the "check engine light" is still on & ask they why it's not running properly. This place is joke & the staff are horrible. This Caliber Collision location provided me with the best auto repair experience I could imagine. From my first phone call, they were kind, patient, and understanding. When I took my vehicle in for the estimate, Claudia took her time to explain everything to me - what needed to be done, how it would be done, a reasonable timeframe, etc. The shop arranged for a complimentary ride back to my apartment, and in the days that followed Claudia was in constant communication regarding the progress of my repairs. Additionally, and what can't really be quantified, is just how nice everybody at this shop was. It made the potentially stressful experience more pleasant overall. He read our reviews and because of those reviews and some internal investigating he fired Mario (I'm sure several folks on Yelp will applaud his decision. Mario needed to go. He was running this location into the ground.) Alex basically came in and cleaned house. Well done, sir. I believe under his management this location will do a complete turnaround. Our passenger door was hit by something while parked and it was more than a few scratches. This location was one my insurance company provided and it had such good reviews I chose it. It turned out to be a great experience just like so many others so I wanted to add another 5-stars. It was easy to get an appointment. The staff was very friendly as soon as we got there, and Mario and Karla was very helpful. Mario did a very thorough review of the car and what needed to be repaired. We left it on a Tuesday and they said it would be ready by Friday. I got a call from Mario on Thursday around noon saying the car was ready if I wanted to pick it up. That was a great surprise! When I picked up the car it was all beautiful again. I have a specialized pearl paint and they matched it perfectly - you could not tell anything had ever happened! I was sent an email with instructions on how to upload pictures of my car and was reminded when to drop it off. Being in a car accident is stressful, but through the process Craig was very profesional and kept me informed on the status of my car. My rear left passenger door, tire, and panel were hit by a car and had to be replaced. Craig gave me realistic expectations on how long it would take to fix it and what my car needed. As it got closer to my car being finished he updated me daily and even fixed non-related paint chips last minute at my request. Something he did not have to do. Do not get Eddie to help you! First Issue (Mon, Sept 22): I arrived at 3:45PM to get an estimate and waited a few minutes. Eddie came out and we went outside for him to inspect my vehicle. I told him there was a rattling sound and he said he would check that. He also offered to fix some cracks in the paint on the bumper for an extra charge. The cracks were not related to the accident so I wasn't sure if I wanted to spend extra money. I told Eddie I probably wouldn't want to pay extra, but if he could tell me how much it is I might be interested. He said he would let me know, but never did and I didn't inquire. They might have gotten extra $ out of me, but Eddie never told me how much it'd be. At around 4:15 I followed Eddie back in the office when he noticed a woman sitting in the waiting area. He asked me if I would mind if he just helped her really quickly. Honestly, I worked all day as a high school teacher and commuted 120 miles for work so I did mind, but I told him 'okay,' hoping it would be quick like he said. Exactly 30 MINUTES later (I know because I started texting my boyfriend when I sat down and decided to wait 10 more minutes at the 20 minute point), I asked the woman at the front desk if she would mind if I went to the post office and then came back because they would be closing. She told me they could just email me the estimate so I didn't have to wait after all. I never saw Eddie in those 30 minutes and so I just left. Second & Third Issues (Tues Sept 30): Eddie called me in the afternoon stating my car might be ready today. He said he'd call back at 5PM to let me know if I needed to pick it up. I was so tired from working that I asked if I could maybe pick it up the next day, but he said it might not work out with my insurance company paying for the rental car one extra day if the car is ready. So, I waited and just after 5PM Eddie called and said it should be all done in 20 minutes. I drove over and they said it would just be a few minutes. After a few minutes another woman arrived to pick up her car. She also sat down to wait and after about 5 more minutes her car came out. I watched as she got her vehicle, went out to inspect her vehicle, came back in and started talking with the guy who drove her vehicle in. Then Eddie came out from the back to chitchat with her and the other guy about how wonderful her car looks now. I was sitting there as if I did not exist. I waved to Eddie and asked if my car was coming soon. Eddie looked surprised and gasped and said, oh yes, it's coming right out right now. Then he went in the back to seemingly get on that. A few minutes later my vehicle came out and the person who was driving it up said that Eddie was going to be reviewing what they did with my vehicle. Well, Eddie was still inside and I was already annoyed with his treatment of me so I just left. Shortly after, Eddie called to tell me they still need to finish work on my vehicle. Why did he tell me it was all done just a half an hour or so earlier? I had dropped off my rental car already so I was totally screwed! He said they could come to my home though and that they would make sure to take care of it this week. Wed Oct 1: I noticed a huge nick in my windshield and have no idea where that came from. I also noticed I'm still missing a hub cap! I called and Eddie said they still need to get me another hub cap and that it had been ordered. He said it would all be taken care of by Friday. Fri Oct 3: Nobody called or emailed to give me an update... Sun Oct 5: My radio and clock light would not turn on all day. When I picked up my vehicle the guy who drove my car up told me that they replaced the fuse because they had gone out when they disconnected the battery to perform repairs. I called Caliber, but they were closed. Mon Oct 6: The radio worked again during my morning commute, but the light that displays the time was dim, then bright, then dim again. It never did that before. I called and asked when they could finish working on my vehicle since nobody actually took care of this last week as Eddie stated would be done and of course, about the radio. Eddie said they are short-staffed this week but if I wanted to come in they could take care of it right away. I told Eddie I would be there after work but I decided not to go because my radio was working. I also decided I will use the warranty at another location if need be, because I really don't want to go back. Tues Oct 7: I told Eddie that I told my insurance company about this issue and I asked for his manager's name. NOW Eddie says that they can come to finish repairing my car today. I cannot believe this company put this job on the back-burner because they already got paid from my insurance company and returned my vehicle to me! Oh, and it still makes a rattling sound when I drive, go figure. read more

This place used to be great, but I guess Mario is ruining the reputation with his false promises and lousy work ethic. I live right down the street and will never give them my business again.
