AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE! My truck was stolen from them during business hours with ease. January 31st I got a call saying that my truck was expected to be finished later that day. Some time around 3 or 4 I got a cryptic voicemail saying to give them a call back about my truck. I called back, left a VM and didn't hear back from anyone. Being that it was very close to my work I swung by and was brought into the back and told my truck was stolen. The responding sheriffs had told me according to the video a gentleman was able to drive right into their shop area where the cars are being worked on, dumped a stolen van and jumped right into my truck and drove away without an issue. The incident happened between the hours of noon and 4pm that day leading me to believe that this criminal had some inside information that my truck would be ready that day and the keys would be left inside. Either that or this shop is really that GROSSLY NEGLIGENT to leave keys in unattended vehicles. I'm told by my insurance they the shop won't even be covering the insurance I had paid on my rental during the two weeks I had to wait to consider my car a loss stating that waiving my deductible was sufficient enough (laughable.) I never would have imagined something like this could happen at such a large chain with such good reviews. Now I'm left without my beloved truck(paid off), not able to find the same color or trim as mine as it was a rare one, and will be left paying thousands more to replace it all because I thought I could trust Caliber. read more

Five weeks in and still no car. What's worst is I'm being explained that the paint isn't meant to be uniform. That it's normal for the parts to have paint variations. Like I don't have eyes or never owned a car. The issues with this place started on day one and they have not stopped from there. Left a message that they alleged they never got. Then was told I'd get a call about my paperwork that I also never got. Multiple delays that I was not informed of. I went there on the advise of my insurance; had I known I'd take over 5 weeks to get a repair do a repair, I would have found my own place via word of mouth. From day one I told them the car was not drivable due to an issue with the steering but they decided to find out what the issue was on the day I was supposed to pick up my car. I'd love to name the all stars that have complicated my life but I won't. You're welcome, you know who you are! What's best is my car rental benefit is maxed due to them. I've been having to pay for Lyft. Do yourself a favor and not go here. Unless you like headaches, this is the place for you if you like to be joshed around. If you like not having a car go here! I'll be asking for a second opinion as I do not believe that I can trust their work. Which guess what that means for me? More days without a car! Yay! read more

On the couple of occasions when I needed body work done on my vehicles, I have always had a good experience with Caliber Collision Centers. Unfortunately, my latest experience was a bit less than what I expected. In mid-July, an idiot Tow Truck Driver, side swipped the driver side door of my Cooper causing almost $3K in damages to my Go-Kart (AKA: Cooper). Initially, I was told the repairs would take about 20 hours to complete. While I appreciate the speed in which Caliber tries to get someone back into their car, I told the inspector, I much rather have the job done well if it takes a little longer. Twenty-One days later my vehicle was ready to be picked up. The body work looks great and the Chile Red paint is matched well. The replacement door is properly aligned with no uneven gaps however, not all is perfect. Initially, the Driver-Side window did not roll up as it should using the One-Tap feature on the switch. I was told a Mobile Technician would contact me and come to my home or, office to fix the problem. I never received a call to schedule this repair. NOTE: in the interum, i discovered through a Mini website, the window needs to "Re-Learn" where the glass stops at the bottom & top of the door. By rolling the window up several times, the Auto-Up feature is restored, who knew this is a thing? Additionaly, on the way home from Caliber i discovered the side-view morror switch was broken. I am not able to move either side mirrors to adjust. I e-Mailed the Caliber inspector in charge of my repairs but, never received an acknowledgement or reply back. After a week of no response, I ordered a $40 replacement switch which I will install myself just to get it done. One other bothersome thing is I found a lighbulb and socket in the trunk on my car. I walked around the Cooper to inspect the lights on the outside but, all appear to be working. The OBC (on board computor) indicates there is a light out but, does not indicate where. I am still trying to figure out where this bulb goes. Perhaps it's a courtesy light meant to be under the dash. I'll have to take the car into Mini to find it. Finally, this Caliber facility does NOT take ca$h, only checks or credit card for payment. To be fair, it is appearently difficult to get parts from BMW/Mini which is one of the main reasons I was told it took so long to get my Go-Kart back. I understand getting proper parts for a 7-year old can be difficult, I would have appreciated being kept informed about the progress. When my car first arrived at Caliber I received a Text message telling me I will receive updates to the repair of my Cooper as they occur. I never received any follow-up message by Text after the first one. I sincerely hope you never have an accident because it's truly a pain and inconvienience! Even though my experience with Caliber wasn't the best I would still reccommend them if you need to get your car repaired, just maybe not this location in Carson. Happy Motoring!! read more

By law, as an insured customer I have the right to choose what shop I'd like to have my car repaired at. I chose this shop because I have been here in multiple occasions for repairs. For some reason this time around the shop was trying to deter me from bringing my car in just because my insurance isn't contracted with them. They came up with all types of excuses saying that my insurance would take too long, I'd have to pay more for a rental and that they wouldn't be paying for any extra time... etc. I said it's fine , so I scheduled my appointment. When the time came for me to come in , my appointment was nowhere to be found and everyone was "out to lunch". The front desk lady was being very unwelcoming and making me feel studious for even being there. She told me in a matter of fact tone that progressive doesn't work with their shop, almost as if to say "why are you even here ". I told her I know and that I just need to be helped because I had an appointment scheduled. they were being very unwilling and clearly didn't want my business. When I finally just put the guy on the phone with my insurance rep, the excuse he gave was that they were booked up. Total bull shit. I took my business elsewhere. read more

I had my car repaired at Caliber Collision after an accident. The body was good but after a couple of months, my new headlight went out. I contacted Caliber Collision and was told to take the car in. The guy in charge told me the problem was beyond his staff's capabilities and he said he would contact me once he got a hold of his electrical specialist. I never got a call back and I ended up taking the car to my mechanic. The issue was the wiring that the body shop used. My mechanic took care of the issue the same day I took in my car. I was initially happy with the service at Caliber Collision but the lack of follow up is why I'm giving them 2 stars. read more

If I could give 10 stars I would! Heartbroken, I had my 3 week old 2013 Corvette 427 convertable towed in to Win after it was run over by a tractor trailer. Gus calmed me down and assured me that all would be well. He took great care to keep me in the loop step by step during the process of getting the car back to me. He had to work with my insurance company several times but got everything approved. He, and the rest of the team, watched each step of the huge repair pricess treating my car like it was their own. Bottom line, the car looks and runs exactly the way it did before it was hit. I am a car nut and I looked over the car with a magnifying glass and found no fault. Horrible, this crooks should be out of business. The reason why I went to these people is because Toyota has Caliber Collision as their body shop guys. Took my Prius got rear-ended I told him to replace it with OEM Parts but I think they did not. Bumper was falling off out of alignment. Took the car twice. The last time I took the Prius in I told him about the bumper they told me they were going to get the Corvette expert (since the rear bumper of the Corvette is full polyurethane and large) to fix it. Anyways all they did was adding a bunch of sealant to seal it in place.. don't take it there. read more

We scheduled an appointment to deliver our vehicle to Caliber today, 1/15/18 at 2pm. When we arrived they stated we did not have an appointment for today at 2pm, that it was for 1pm tomorrow. We scheduled a follow-up appointment to deliver the vehicle tomorrow 1/16/18 at 3:15pm with Caliber. I contacted Caliber to get clarity on what had occurred that would of prevented the delivery today. I shared that I was surprised on how rigid there drop off times were. The individual never indicated confirmation of our appointment the next day. Paul who handles insurance claims was attempting to avoid service and stated that since we already had a problem with scheduling that we should no bring the vehicle. I shared that I was surprise in the customer service and would share this experience with State Farm and Yelp. Paul stated that he was going to cancel the repair work claim. I told Paul, we would like the claim still and that I needed to confirm the appointment and I would call him back this afternoon. Within 10 minutes of that phone call we received a call from our insurance provider that they cancelled the claim and stated that I was verbally abusive. Since when is it verbally abusive to have a calm conversation, ask questions and also share with the service provider that you share with others your experience. I have worked in customer service for over 20 years and to have a company be so naive and blatantly turn business away is appalling. If there actions continue in this manner, I suspect that others will choose to take their business else where. read more
