My GLK350 was repaired for a bumper collision. The finished job looks good; but it took 8 business days--and I didn't count day after Thanksgiving or Saturdays--when I was told by Bob it would take 5 days. More grievous than that, however, is I had a dent removed on the rear passenger door. I was told that it would be a paintless repair but that I "would be pleased with the result." As it turns out, when I picked up my car I saw that the dent was removed all right but in its place is now a black mark that was not there before. Cory suggested we have it buffed somewhere. I strongly disagree because that black mark was caused by the dent removal. I believe that Caliber should take responsibility for this black mark and take care of removing it. read more

I strongly advise against taking your vehicle to Caliber Collision. My brother's experience here has been a complete nightmare of injustice and unprofessionalism, specifically dealing with Service Advisor Luis. Instead of following proper protocol, Luis went ahead and performed extensive repairs on the vehicle before ever getting final approval from the insurance company. When the insurance inevitably pushed back on the bill, rather than taking responsibility for his shop's massive procedural error, he attempted to hold the car hostage and pressure my brother into paying the cost difference out of pocket for work that was never explicitly authorized. To make matters worse, he even threatened to penalize my brother directly by charging daily storage fees while the car sat trapped on their lot due to their own administrative mess. Trying to pass the bill onto the customer to cover up unauthorized work feels like pure extortion. Avoid this location at all costs if you value honest, transparent service. read more

Your estimating system is way out of whack, especially your initial estimate that was double any reasonable price. Plus considering there was no collision, only a surface paint issue, it did not make sense to insist on removing all the parts before even providing an estimate, and that burned up a full week. You should have done the estimate without disassembly and added a disclaimer for any hidden damage discovered during the repair. I cannot think of anything good to say. It appears you like to soak Mercedes owners for as much profit as possible compared with other shops. read more

Extremely Disappointed with Customer Service I brought my car in on Monday, 4/28, and as of today, 5/2, I have still not received any meaningful update regarding the status of my case. My experience with both the service representative Eric and the General Manager has been absolutely unacceptable. Eric was extremely rude during our conversation and hung up on me when I expressed that I no longer wanted to work with him due to his unprofessional attitude. Shockingly, I received a call from the GM Justin, shortly after, and the same behavior followed--rude tone, dismissive attitude, and ultimately, he also hung up on me. He then informed me that I was no longer welcome at their shop and that they would not be taking the vehicle for repair. This is by far the worst customer service experience I have had--especially from a dealership like Fletcher Jones Mercedes-Benz, which claims to represent a high standard of service. I expected far more professionalism and courtesy. I am incredibly disappointed and will be sharing this experience widely to warn others. read more

They did okay body work but I am still extremely upset about what happened here almost a year ago. While my car was in the shop, every single personal belonging inside my vehicle was stolen. My center console, yoga mat, grocery bags, and even my switch blade which I have still not been able to replace was taken. My car looked good when I picked it up, it was only once I started driving home did I realize all of my belongings in my car were missing. It felt like I got cleaned out, i was legit concerned that maybe they left my car unlocked on the street and someone had gone through it. I called and explained and they played dumb "we have no idea how this could have happened..." blah blah blah. They were actually extremely rude about it until I kept insisting that my $150 knife was taken from my car. They acted like I was crazy for having it and crazy for asking about it. CAR REPAIR IS TO SAY THE LEAST, AN INCONVENIENCE! Bob Ohanian was an angel! My car was a victim of the Tuesday winds that started the LA fires. I was in a parking lot at Fashion Island and my car got caught in the middle of of a "pinball game" a Waste Management big green trash bin was playing in a parking lot with several cars, mine included! The entire right side was bashed in with green paint and damage. It was going to be a hassle with insurance and the property management co responsible for the damage. Shout out to Rhodes Development for owining it! Bob took the vehicle the very next day to estimate repair. He and started repair with faith and creative resolution and get my MBZ AMG SL63 done in a week. And this repair required a specialty tech who could work w/AMG aluminum material. The knowledge, expertise and the way Bob navigated the whole process was professional, compassionate, and thorough. He communicated progress and completions was on time as promised! About two weeks after the repair there were some issues with a claim that was not being covered. I called to see what was going on and if they could resubmit the claim. Ivonne and the manager Justin were extremely rude (putting it nicely), unfriendly, and not helpful at all . He ended the conversation saying he didn't care who pays the portion uncovered but someone was paying for it. Fletcher Jones has been notified to not send anymore business there . A very dishonest collision repair center that is in cahoots with the insurance carrier to take as many shortcuts on your car as possible. They wanted to only partially paint my car which is a 7 year old mercedes. Imagine brand new paint next to 7 year old paint! They later admitted (after the car was done being repaired) there was "no way" to match the existing paint but they certainly did not disclose this to me before they began working on my car. I would have never repaired my car and sold it as is and kept the insurance repair money because now I am stuck with a car with mismatched paint. Theyre in cahoots with the insurance company to save them as much as possible at detriment to your car and your car's value. After I retrieved the car, they went on an on about their paint guarantee. And their goal was my satisfication. Then the regional manager Enrique offered to paint my whole car so there is a match. But then he completely disappeared and stopped answering emails and texts. I think he was just trying to get my car back into his lot so he can hold it hostage to get payment without painting my car because he then refused to confirm his offer in writing . Also Daniel their service manager is one of the most dishonest people I have ever worked with. He offered to deliver my car then pretended he never told me that. Shocking . Then he drove my car without my permission. I think they have a pattern of reneging on promises and it is really disgusting. They've also been involved in some pretty shady business practices and been sued by the California Attorney General for ripping off customers before so BEWARE! read more

Recently my car was hit, leaving some scratches on the front bumper. I immediately brought it to this Caliber Collision in Costa Mesa, the center certified by Mercedes Benz. As I walked in, the front door receptionist, Nancy, greeted me with a warm smile, and assisted me immediately. Luis Montalva walked me around my vehicle and carefully checked it in detail. He took some pictures and videos and truly took the time to understand my needs. After, they communicated with my car insurance adjuster for the costs. They also arranged a rental car with Enterprise for me. The work done on my vehicle was impeccable and my car looks like new now. They even cleaned the exterior and interior of my vehicle. Luckily for all of us she came into contact with Johny Neri at Caliber who was calming, helpful and super responsive. He provided great customer care and a very competitive price to repair the whole bumper and front end. The job was done beautifully and within days had the car back. Randal Vigil, another service advisor met us when we picked up the vehicle and briefly toured us through the very organized and neatly laid out production facility and made sure we were pleased with the work. I recently got in an accident around Thanksgiving and needed my car repaired ASAP 'cause it just broke my heart everyday seeing how ugly it was. The front bumper passenger side got damaged and so I did my research to decide where I should have my vehicle repaired. I have GEICO for auto ins and they have different body shops they're contracted with to make it easier, but Caliber wasn't listed with them. After some research I found out this particular Caliber location is a Mercedes Certified Collision center. Meaning all parts are OEM, and the the techs are more knowledgeable with the car. Initially I went to a GEICO Auto Express shop that was contracted w/ GEICO just to get a quote and then came to Caliber to see if they could do it given the quote I just got. I got it repaired during a busy time near Christmas, but my vehicle was ready in 3 days! Initially they quoted me 5 because they thought there might be further internal damage, but thank god there wasn't! Rudy kept me updated throughout the whole process w/ calls and so did the GEICO claims adjustor. All I paid was my deductible when I went to pickup my car. One visit to this shop is all you'll need to feel that your MBZ is in safe hands. Their lot and shop is just FULL w/ MBZ bc Fletcher Jones sponsors it. They also set up for enterprise to pick me up to get a rental car when I dropped off my car for repair. The whole process was smooth and their body shop is really clean/new. When I got my car back, they basically did a full detail on it! I was really happy with the outcome, the inside was vacuumed spotless and the car basically seemed brand new again. read more

I was referred here by Fletcher Jones in hopes of having the same experience as others on here however mine was a bit different. The drop off was smooth, they even gave me a ride back to FJ to pick up my rental. The advisor Trevor that helped me throughout the entire process was very friendly and communicated well about everything. They do charge a premium for their work so there's a lot of back and forth between appraisals and such... however wasn't a problem for me since the accident I had encountered was the other person's fault. The pick up is where the issues lied for me. The first time they tried to give me back my car it was covered in SERIOUS scratches mostly on the hood, from whoever wiped it down. They apologized, sent the car in the back and brought it back out a second time, still with scratches. An hour and a 3rd attempt later they bring out the car scratch-free, I get in the car and found they left their equipment in the back seat. I also noticed they did a bare minimum on cleaning the interior, if even cleaned at all. Sadly I would not return based on my experience, I do not trust them with my car and am shocked with the service that was received for the amount that was paid. read more
