I dropped my truck off for repair with Caliber in Costa Mesa. The GM, Tizoc Ortiz, personally gave me a ride back to the Ford dealership. Usually you don't get the boss doing the drop offs...impressive. So far everything about Tizoc and his team is impressive...and I just dropped off my F150 a few days ago. A really nice touch was an email from Tizoc with pictures and a "progress report" on my truck. Now I know why I had to wait a bit to get in to see these professionals! Dropped off our MBZ and got Randel to estimate a small damage. Even though it was small, a lot of insurance approval and labor with the parts is more than a week. Randal executed the one week plan! It would have been two weeks because of the ins. approval and parts delayed. Eli the auto body tech prepared and installed multiple parts in time to return the car rental that we unfortunately paid out of pocket for. We now know to click and choose the car rental ins. coverage. Update too your deductible according to your current finances. If I could give 0 stars I would. I have taken my car to caliber before through my insurance. No matter what insurance I've had cause I never had any issues. I got into an accident back in Feb. I believe it was around feb 28th. I did the whole process of calling my insurance etc. My car gets towed a week later to them. Not their fault but my insurance. It got there 7th of March. The insurance went back and forth and wanted a full breakdown of the extend of the damage. Of course again this delay was the insurance. After going back-and-forth, my insurance around the 20th of march my insurance, declare that they would go ahead and repair the vehicle instead of claiming at a total loss. That was finally fixed. It was time for caliber collision to do its job and fix the vehicle. A week later I'm getting a call from caliber saying that they had to transfer my vehicle to another repair shop because they no longer except foreign vehicles at that location. OK great told him that's fine I understand things happen. Caliber will send you an email where you can access a link to be able to tell you when the vehicle will be done. It was stated on the link that the vehicle will be done 22 May. I did think that was a little bit too far out and wasn't really happy about it but I couldn't do much about it. So I patiently waited for my vehicle to be done. A few days before my vehicle was supposed to be done I contacted caliber asked him what's the status of my vehicle. They then went on to proceed to tell me that they had lost parts and to re-order them. I clearly wasn't the happiest hearing that and ask them how much longer it would take. I was told it would take two more weeks. Two week pass by and nothing yet again. At this point I was beyond mad, and I kept trying to contact Bob, who was my service provider that was helping me. He kept avoiding my calls and I wasn't getting a response back. Had my husband called in and see what was going on and they just gave him the runaround. My husband was finally able to get through to him and again the same excuse parts got lost, new management and it's out of his control. Mind you this has been at least 3 months now. I finally go into the office. I'm telling him how frustrated I am and how I'm having to come out of pocket for rentals. My insurance only pays out so much for the rentals and they're not gonna help me out with that. He finally said that they would take off 500 and that it would be done in a week. This was like the middle of June and I expressed that they should be providing me a rental, or at least waiving the deductible for me. Finally, I get my vehicle back. I believe the first week of July. I get the vehicle back it's making a weird noise. Like, if the plastic at the bottom was broken and being dragged. More like a metal on metal rubbing together. And my car was jolting every time I was switching gears. I took it back and they try to say that it was like that before the accident and that I need to take it to a repair shop and see if that issue is happening because of the accident. So I was basically told to go take it somewhere and pay for a break down and bring it back to them. Which doesn't make sense to me because why would I have to bring my card to another repair shop and pay for the breakdown. My husband came in with me and of course wasn't the nicest person about it after four months. Bob's thing was, he said he ran the computer through to the vehicle and said nothing is coming up, so nothing he can do. I right away contacted my insurance. Let them know what's going on. I let them know that yes I did have a jolting problem prior to the accident but I did take it to the repair shop in actually got it fixed. Have the paperwork for it and all. Finally after going through my insurance. They contacted me and said that they fix the problems to come pick up my vehicle. Everything was finally running smooth no issues. But I definitely wouldn't recommend bringing your vehicle here. Keep in mind too. They sent an estimated repair break down to my insurance of 18,000. I'm now getting contacted by my insurance saying that they are charging over $20,000 of worth of repairs. Which I find odd because there's a reason why we do a full breakdown and send to the insurance. Never again going thru them. And make sure your insurance isn't paying them. Once they get there money it's like on there time and don't care if the person is without a car. read more

They are THE BEST......PERIOD. I have a red, SL500 and was in a head on collusion. The front bumper and lights got ruined. Wish I was experiencing the same as these positive reviews. I can't even get a call with an update unless I chase my advisor down. I'm staring at $6,000 in repairs so far and two days in and my car still has to be disassembled to even get started. Concerned with the delays in ordering parts now if it's been sitting around for 2 days. They have zero concern in keeping me informed and giving me time frames considering I had to rent a car and have no clue for how long. Regretting making a hasty decision to go with The referral from fletcher jones. Hasn't been a pleasant experience so far. Hoping it turns a corner soon.
