My 10 year old Honda S2000 now looks brand new thanks to Nick and his team here. I was in a fender bender and I sought out caliber collision since they appear to be a recognized chain of auto body shops. The closer one in Irvine had mediocre reviews, so I stopped in here instead. The work was estimated less than my deductible so I thought I'd shop around a bit and do it on the cheap. As soon as I walk in, a service manager said he'd be able to beat my existing estimate. Nick takes a look and after crunching the numbers, it turns out they couldn't. Even after reducing some labor costs he was at a loss at to how my original estimate was so low (I didn't have it on me). Turns out the other shop I went to planned on going with a refurb bumper instead of an OEM one which was a cost difference of about $300. Their default is to do the work correctly and not on the budget. I am very happy with Nick's communication as he called me on two occasions telling me where I could reduce the cost a little bit if I wanted to cut corners since he knew I was paying out of pocket, and another time to tell me everything was on schedule and on budget. I never got the run around, the staff was responsive, Nick was always available when I called, and most importantly, the workmanship of the technicians was flawless. I will recommend these folks to friends and family. With the additional advice: If you are making an insurance claim, come here first and ask for Nick. If you are paying out of pocket, get an estimate elsewhere first. read more

I just took in my 2013 Red Toyota Corolla to replace the front bumper and repaint the bumper, hood, right and left front fenders. I had the pleasure of working with JESSE and he went above and BEYOND when taking care of mine and my car's needs. He walked me through the multiple options that Caliber Collison offered before moving forward. Just by looking at my car from the outside, he suspected other things that might be wrong with my car which was impressive. He was incredibly transparent and made sure I understood everything that COULD come up or drive up the cost BEFORE I left my car there with them. I have zero knowledge or experience with anything that has to do with cars so I'm always a little hesitate when I go somewhere new because auto repair shops have a bad rep for ripping people off, but I never felt that was the case with Jesse or Caliber Collision. (They just might be the last of their kind!) He gave me a call after I dropped off my car to let me know of other things they found once they inspected my entire car but gave me reasonable recommendations. He never tried to get an extra buck out of me. He was an honest, professional and trustworthy mechanic all the way through. Additionally, to the great service I received, the entire process had such a quick turnaround.  The entire process took no more than three working days. Jesse was super flexible in terms of drop off and pick up times. Last note: when I picked up my car, Jesse noticed the tiniest residue that was left from the complimentary car wash (I wouldn't have even noticed it in a million years!) I insisted that it wasn't a big deal and he didn't have to do anything about it. Without even finishing my sentence, he was jogging back to grab a towel to remove the tiny residue. That gesture right there just shows the thorough and comprehensive care they put into your vehicle. Their service on your car and customer service I received was unmatched.   I will recommend this place to all my friends and family. I have nothing but amazing things to say! Used their online source for an estimate and then set up an appointment to get an in person estimate. That all went fine and was told by the estimator he had 3 other estimates to do before getting to mine. That was 3 weeks and I've heard nothing. It was just a some damage to one door, maybe too small for them to bother. Anyway it's all done now by someone that responded on time and gave a competitive estimate. Beware this company works with the insurance company to your disadvantage. I took my car there for an estimate because Nationwide Insurance said they recommend this company and they will guarantee the work. My Mazda CX-9 Grand Touring in mint condition was rear ended and basically looked fine but to my surprise this company said it was totaled. I asked for the estimate and they said they would not give it to me, that the insurance company doesn't like that. Red flag, I said I am your customer and they refused. I contacted my Nationwide and they gave me the valuation of my car. It was grossly wrong and lowballed. Caliber said my car was a Sport, the lowest trim model. Wrong my car is the top trim model with every accessory. They listed my car condition as average instead of excellent. My car lived in a garage and was taken care of exceptionally. Long story short, they continued to be dishonest making life miserable. Find a reputable auto body repair and avoid this one at all cost. read more

I took my car in to be repaired after being hit from behind by another and needed a new rear bumper, tailgate repair and a new muffler. Gilbert was my Service Advisor and was friendly, quick and communicated well during each step of the process. Margaret also was friendly and kind. She was able to answer all of my questions and get me scheduled for service quickly. They repaired my car much quicker than expected and stayed late in order to avoid my having to wait another day to pick it up. The repairs were done very well and my car looks great. I wish I could leave zero stars. This place cannot be trusted. When I picked up my car after several delays they assured me the insurance company had paid everything that was owed and that I didn't need to pay anything. Now they're trying to rip me off for $500 which just so happens to be the exact amount of my deductible that was waived because the accident was officially determined not to be my fault. They're just a pack of liars and scam artists. The Better Business Bureau has pages upon pages of complaints about how horrible they are. Do not take your car here. Avoid them like the plague. I selected this shop based on reviews on google and yelp, I was hit by a driver so his insurance recommended Caliber, the reviews looks good and this shop looked to be the best Caliber location in the area where I live. When I walked in for the initial estimate I met Dave and he was my contact person from start to finish, he is a solid guy, they went above and beyond and my car looks far better than it did prior to the accident. I am not over selling it at all and yeah, some aspects of customer service were lacking but that was only when I picked my vehicle up and there was this rude woman working the front counter, it seemed like she didn't want to even be there so being me I give her the smile and turn up the personality to show her how it's done....it didn't work on her but hey, she probably wakes up rude so that's on her. If I ever have any think come up again in the future they will get my first call, I am not going to speak down on the other Caliber's in the area since I've never been to any of them but I think I got lucky when I selected this location. If you want the work done right to have your expectations exceeded then give these guys a call, at least give them a look if you are in the Costa Mesa area, I think that if you do and you have them do work on your car, you will be pleased. My teen backed our Prius into another car, which broke our rear turn signal light. Our insurance appraiser recommended Caliber, among others (since Caliber was the first on the list, I started there, and it was soon evident that I wouldn't need to look any further). Once I pulled in, I was immediately approached and assisted by staff. The place was clean and attractive, and staff was attentive, polite, and knowledgeable. They had to order the parts, which arrived within a day or two. They didn't try to sell me on unnecessary work (in fact, they had suspected that the appraiser's estimate was way too high, and they were right). They drove me home (I waited no more than 5 minutes) and later picked me up, even though the work took just a few hours. They washed my car (even the inside, which had been disgusting - and they cleaned it better than the car wash!!) Hopefully I won't need bodywork again, but if I do, I'm going here. Came in to get my 2012 Lexus IS 250 repaired at this location due to the yelps reviews, and it's was literally around the corner from my moms house. Spoke to (Margaret) the receptionist who was extremely nice and helpful. Then spoke to my go to contact (Jay H.) who was also extremely nice and knowledgeable. Brought my car in on Monday and picked it up Thursday morning, although it was ready to b picked up by Wednesday evening (Dam that's awesome). Also noting how prompted (Jay H.) is when informing u of the progress ur car is doing. That means a lot coming from someone who cherishes their vehicle. When I received my vehicle I was greeted in the same manner I came in (originally) and wanted to thank them both for their due diligence. I immediately wanted to thank both of them by talking to their higher ups and commending them on their exceptional customer service skills. I was referred to Their General Manager (Matt). I recently visited this Caliber Collision center after my car was recently Vandalized to get it painted and taken care of, and I was highly impressed by the staff and location. You will never find a cleaner Body shop with a nicer Staff. I so Impressed I had to leave a review. The front desk receptionist women (Sorry can't remember her name but it starts with a "M") was just a pleasure to work with, she was nice and fast at what she does. The manager Kevin Z was very personable, and professional. You would have never guess he was the manager because he was a true professional AND Actually doing everything, from taking out the trash and washing cars, to explaining each detail of the process as I turned my car in- Wow! And the last gentlemen named "JR" that drove me to the rental location was helpful and patient with me as I tried to find the best rental car location with the right for I needed during the holidays for my family (Side Note: because I didn't like Hertz's selection of cars) . Had my BMW worked on. Not sure if they used a sub-contractor for my car but there were some issues. As soon and i turned the car on my TPMS when off. They never reconnected my sensor, BUT reimbursed me to pay BMW to fix it. The arm that opens the hatch back literally fell off. Another Caliber location fixed this for me. Currently my car is at yet ANOTHER Caliber location due to my transmission bracket being cracked in 5 different places. Not sure why it was never replaced. Visibly you can see it is broken and i ain't no mechanic! Their customer support has been really good. Staff has been nice, but their work seemed rushed and lack attention to detail. Update: Customer service called me and repeatedly apologized for their work and are doing their best to remedy the situation. read more

I brought my Honda CR-V into this location for repairs after my "honest" neighbors attempted a hit and run. Family members recommended me to service my vehicle at Caliber. My service advisor Jose Gurrola was extremely helpful and provided a positive experience for me. He personally called me multiple times to provide follow-ups on the status my vehicle. The rental car pick up and drop off were also conveniently coordinated so I didn't have to wait long. They were friendly and did a great job on my car. Because they were recommended to me by the insurance company, I didn't have a ton of choice in the matter. Still, I would go here again if I had any damage to my car. They fixed my smashed sunroof and damaged roof (a result of some sort of "hit and run" over New Year's eve) and the car looks like new now. From drop off to completion, the job took about two weeks. They offered a rental car, but I didn't need it. Took our Lexus in to get repaired after being broad sided while driving through an intersection in mid October. Dave quoted that the work would be completed by Thanksgiving. Missed the mark there. Horrible communication through the process. They returned the SUV back to me without even working seat belts. Had to bring it back in for a lengthy list of repairs they missed. After they repaired/replaced these items they caused more damage to the interior than when I originally brought the vehicle in. Had to schedule yet another appointment for repairs. Dave became very condescending to my wife after I filled out the customer satisfaction survey as honestly as I could. Will never come here again. Ever. read more

Took my 2003 Camry there for fix in 2005. They missed place one of my screw in for the battery crown and just use a whatever size replacement to hold the battery cable and battery together. I drover to Sherman Oak visit my custom and afterward found out car won't start because the battery cable is lose... Besides that the gap between fender and front door became huge after fixing, took back to readjust but not much help. For a national company they did a pretty crappy job. Had my door repaired. Blk 99 firebird, Horrible job. Look at pics. They left the info stickers on the door, painted over them then took them off leaving 3 big blue squares. Whet back to get it done again. Now I have 3 black INDENTED squares on my car door. I asked Michael what happened and he said, "it's because the information stickers were there." The greatness of a business depends on their first line of defense and Alicia @ Front Desk is the best example...It is nice when you get to a place and a knowledgeable, nice and professional person is there to assist... After being helped and properly directed by Alicia; Scott took over my case...Explained in plain English and not too much bluff what was going to happen and what were the case scenarios in the event of further damage was found... Unfortunately Scott did not continue working on my case since he was attending some type of training; but Bob took over and needless to say he excelled the expectancy... Bob besides being completely thorough with the updates was also understanding of my situation and knew "my" constant nagging with phone calls was not due to me being a pain in the rear end, but due to the repair payment was not made by an insurance company or by me but by a third party which indirectly caused damage to my car (long story). I have my car back and I am happy with it... Despite one "still in the air" I would definitely "in the event of" would bring my car back here... Don't give 5 yet...Maybe alter...But hey nothing is perfect! =) read more

All the employees I encountered were extremely friendly and professional. My contact, John, kept me up to date on my cars progress and couldn't have been more helpful. I dropped my car off last Tuesday and picked it up this morning (it was actually done yesterday). The repairs look great and they even washed the inside and outside of my car and returned my rental car for me! My car literally looks brand new. Calibur helped make an undesireable situation quick and easy and I am very grateful to them.
