A girl hit my truck and had State Farm insurance and they suggested that I go to Caliber Collision which I did. the repair was done and it took 3 weeks, that was fine because I have another car to drive so I didn't need a free rental. When I picked up my truck everything looked fine and the salesman made a point that if there is a problem with the repair or the paint for any reason that there is a warrant, well 5 1/2 months later I found the paint chipping on the rear fender and I brought it back and another salesman said that they would take off the fender flair repaint it and then reattach it, this was on a Thursday at 5:00pm and I should stop by on Monday, well Friday at around 9:30 AM he called to tell me that the higher-ups in Texas said no that they wouldn't cover the repair, so I stop back that afternoon and ask the salesman to take a picture and send it to the higher-ups, i also told him to look at my truck there isn't a mark on it anywhere nit even a scratch except the fender flair that they replaced, well he said he would resubmit it and gave me a little touch up paint and would call me on Monday, well today is Thursday and I didn't get a call back on Monday so I called and he said no go, they wouldn't repaint it. Needless to say I'm not happy and just want people to know that the job they did at first was nice and the original salesman was very good at keeping me informed of the progress, I didn't see my original salesman instead I got another salesman So the paint looks like it has chipped a little bit more, not much, BUT.So Just wanted others out there to be aware that the warranty is Bogus. Upon arrival, I was greeted very politely and when I requested an estimate she asked me if this was an insurance claim or out of pocket. When I said out of pocket, her demeanor immediately changed and was no longer very willing to assist me. She stated," we are very busy and you would need to set up an appointment for another day." Took my two-month old (aka brand new) SUV with rear bumper damage to Caliber after my insurance company, Geico, highly recommended it. While I had the option of taking it to my dealer, Geico encouraged me to use Caliber because it would likely be done faster and just as well. As it turns out, my SUV was ready for pick up in about 3-4 days after dropping it off..however, when I inspected the paint I noticed a difference between the original paint and the new paint. I brought it to my adjuster's attention and he talked to Caliber to take the car back in. I didn't mind waiting longer as long as the paint matched or was unnoticeable. It was somewhat concerning that the paint difference was noticeable yet they had it parked out front ready for me to drive off in. A few more days later, I received a call that my SUV was ready for pick up. Good news--the paint job was way better on the rear bumper. It matched the original paint very well. Overall, the main issue was addressed and my car was restored...but there was another pain point because that my car was dirty when I got in. There was white dust inside as well as white footprints/dirt all over the floor mats that were pretty clean when I turned over the car. I just think they need to pay more attention to detail. Caliber's representatives are extremely customer service oriented, but the words don't matter if I have to come back twice and the car isn't clean or at least in the same condition that I turned it over in. It's amazing how much difference 3 years makes in how a business is run. I brought my previous car to this location for body work in 2018 and their staff was very friendly and super accommodating. They drove me home and picked me up while my car was being repaired. Not only that, but the service and repairs were first-rate. Fast forward to 2022 and I again needed some pretty extensive body work after being rear-ended. The girl answering the phone first told me that they didn't work with my insurance and that they're not an approved insurance agency. They could still work with them but it would have been 5 weeks before I could bring my car for an estimate. How is someone supposed to go without their ride for 5 weeks while trying to get an estimate? It was such a hassle just to try and give them my business. In the end I thanked the girl for her time and made a couple of additional calls. It turned out that I was able to talk with the owner of another body shop in the area. He took the time to chat with me and I was able to drop my car off for repair later that same afternoon. He even came by my house after work hours that evening to pick up my car fob after I accidentally gave him the wrong spar. Definitely much easier to deal with and much more accommodating when it came to acting like they wanted my business. All in all, I don't think I'll be returning to Caliber for body work any time soon. read more

After waiting a few weeks from my accident, going through insurance, calling to set up an appointment - I arrive at my scheduled time (730am) and get told within 10 minutes of being there they aren't servicing Jeeps due to the parts shortage. The people I spoke with were polite, although they didn't really ask any questions to prevent this from happening to another Jeep owner. I wouldn't have wasted weeks waiting or gotten up early to go to my appointment before work had someone told me ahead of time. Really frustrated at my waste of time and the lack of communication - especially since I had to fill out an additional form from the company prior to my appointment. You'd think it would've been flagged or the person booking me at Caliber Collision would've been aware in their change of policy. Extremely disappointed as I went through them when I was previously rear-ended on the highway and they did phenomenal work back in 2015/2016. Caliber, thank you thank you thank you! I ran into an off-duty police officer on a Saturday afternoon...ruh-roh. A scrunched up hood and damaged front end....ruh-roh again. After the commotion was over and I had stopped crying, I called up my trusty Geico rep to file a claim. I tried to tell the nice lady that I'd like to take my car to Service King (this isn't my first rodeo, boys and girls), but she recommends Caliber and tells me it's a Geico Auto-Xpress care center. At this point, I really didn't care - just fix my baby! She set up an appointment for me on Monday morning at 9am. BF drives my car up there with me, and they're already waiting for me. The front desk woman (Amanda?) was SO nice and made me feel super welcome there. I noticed they have a mini fridge with sodas and waters, and some snacks (yay animal crackers!) for customers. Nice touch! They have a Geico inspector on site which makes it unbelievably easy. He inspected the car and they got me a rental as Enterprise is also on site, all within 30 minutes. If that was any indication of their service I knew my car would be fixed pronto! That afternoon, my Geico dude called me with an estimate...$3500 fender bender. And do what?? You've already taken my car apart? Heck yes! And I'm not kidding you, Wednesday morning I got the call that my car was being reassembled. Yay! I picked it up on Thursday morning, and everything looked so shiny and new! Maybe because it is Nikki, duh. Everyone was so warm, welcoming and quick *again*! Came in today to get an estimate on auto repairs. The workers were very dry, nonchalant and rude. Told me they dont do estimates on the weekends. Advised me to come back during the work week while I am supposed to be working. Workers were more interested in having side conversations than assisting customers. Didnt care about my situation or getting me taken care of at all. So much for customer service!! Knowing that most people work Monday - Friday, why wouldn't you have staff that can assist on Saturdays. There's really no point of them being open today. It looks like a ghost town inside. I've been coming to get my car(s) fixed at this location for years. The receptionist was amazing, and so was the manager. This location (crystal lake, Illinois) has changed ownership. I was told it would take 5 weeks to fix my car, but it took 8 weeks. I understand there are delays with parts coming from overseas, but I was never informed as to why there were delays. I had to call almost daily to get updates. The front right tire was one of the things that needed replacing, and three times I've had to put air in that tire. In addition, my navigation system was completely screwed up. The woman here told me the mechanic may have used it to get to the car dealership that was doing my alignment. While I have mixed feelings about Caliber, most of the negatives are caused by delays that were (I think) beyond their control, and the positives are due to the end result showing overall great customer service. Repairs: 5 stars Detail company: 1 star Communication: 4 stars during the repair; 1 star afterward Doing the Right Thing: 5 stars (twice) I had my car towed to Caliber since State Farm listed them as a recommended collision repair shop. In the beginning, they were great at communicating what was going on with my car, though I never received any kind of information regarding what was actually being done, which I found odd. I suppose since State Farm was paying for everything, it didn't really matter. My accident was January 26 and I got my car back two months later to the day, March 26. There were a LOT of back orders, apparently. I did receive text updates nearly every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, as promised, which was nice. After I picked up my car, paid my deductible and found that my car had been repaired to the tune of nearly $10,000, I noticed two things: my windshield wipers were off kilter and everything I had left in my car was still there EXCEPT for some Peticolas beer tokens (this was attributed to untrustworthy detailers...still not sure I buy that). I took the car back and the wipers were adjusted immediately. That's when I addressed the beer tokens and was told about the suspicions regarding the detail company staff. Again, not sure I buy that, but, in the grand scheme, not a real big deal. There was also an issue with the rental car company charging me instead of Caliber for my "extended stay" in their vehicle due to national back orders of parts, etc. - Hertz would NOT be my company of choice in the future, but that's another review entirely. The manager, Adam, told me he would "make it right" and was then promptly promoted. Congrats, Adam. Thankfully, the newly appointed GM, Donny (Donnie?), also agreed to make it right while he learned the ins and outs of being in charge, which should include calling me back when I leave a message, but, hey, we all have things on which we can improve at work, right? After another two months of calling, leaving messages, being told it was being handled, calling back, calling back, calling back (you get the idea), I finally had the rental car situation handled. Yay. I'm done! Right? Wrong. Fast forward to July 3rd. AC stopped working due to a hose from the radiator being replaced incorrectly during the Caliber repair. Here is where the customer service stars come into play. Donny, who was unfortunate enough to give me his cell number, haha!, actually drove to the dealership, looked at me car and took full responsibility for the repairs, which were nearly $500. Caliber really does stand by their work, which means a LOT. Will I bring my car back to Caliber? Maybe, depending on the repair. Would I recommend them? Probably, for small repairs. To Caliber Collision, Geico and whoever else it may concern, l am very much dissatisfied and disappointed with Caliber Collision, located at 3201 Manor Way in Dallas, Tx 75235, for repairs on the lift gate and total rear side of my 2020 Palisade. First offense is when they notified me that my car would be ready on January 6, 2023. They retrieved my vehicle on December 12, 2022. I said ok, that's fast. But they called me on December 30 saying that the repairs on my vehicle were complete so I should come pick it up. Then he said the only thing is I would have to bring the car back the following week to place the emblem and letters on the back that wouldn't be there until the following week. At that time, I informed the representative that phoned me that my car was not completed if it was still waiting on parts. He then threatened me saying when they call the insurance company to tell them my car was complete, that the insurance company would not pay for the additional days for my rental. At that time I told him, I would call the insurance company myself to verify that. The representative was trying to bully me into picking up the vehicle early. When I called my insurance company, they informed me that was untrue and I shouldn't pick up the vehicle if it was missing parts regardless of how minute it seemed. 2. After picking up my car and using the lift gate, around the weekend of the January 13-15, the vehicle lift gate malfunctioned and failed to close automatically. I brought the car in on the following Monday. They adjusted something and it worked okay. 3. The very next morning, January 17th, I was driving my car, the dash started flashing red, indicating the engine was overheating. I pulled over to wait for it to cool. After calling Caliber and speaking to the advisor, he told me to bring it back. I proceeded cautiously, watching the gage, full of fear, I drove it back to caliber collision. Cody took my car back and informed me, they didn't secure the cap on the coolant and it leaked out, causing the engine to overheat. He informed me that the put more coolant in and secured the cap. At this point, I'm questioning the integrity and workmanship of Caliber Collision. I left after he told me all was well. 4. While driving my vehicle that same day, I noticed a loud rattling in the rear of the vehicle, which was quite annoying. I called Cody back and he told me to bring it back for a couple of days so they could go over everything to make sure it was right and provide me a rental. I agreed, but I'm like, isn't that what quality assurance is all about? When I brought the vehicle back on that Monday January 23rd, I wasn't even acknowledged by my service advisor. I was told to take a seat and he would be up when finished whatever he was doing. An agent from enterprise rental came at that time and asked me to ride with her back to enterprise where a deposit on my credit card would be collected. Well, I said, I wasn't informed that I needed to place a deposit and was unprepared to do so. I then asked to speak with management. After speaking with the manager and expressing my concerns he said he would take a look. After about 20 minutes, he returned and said it was a loose license plate. These events have taken up a considerable amount of time and inconvenienced my life. I have no confidence in Caliber Collision anymore. I do not trust them to do quality work and something they do or don't do (such as replacing a cap) could possibly put my life at risk or permanently ruin/disable the motor in my vehicle. Well guess what? On the following Thursday January 26th, while driving, the vehicle threw itself in neutral, and all system went dead in the middle of the street at a busy intersection. I could not turn the hazard lights on, I couldn't put the vehicle in park, so I had to keep my foot on the brake to keep from rolling back, because I was on an incline. I had to call 911 for fear of being hit and/or injured. After the police came to secure me from being hit, I called my insurance roadside assistance to tow me to a Hyundai dealership. That is where my vehicle is now. This writing doesn't begin to describe the fear, panic, mental anguish I experienced on this day. I am stranded today, January 30th, without my vehicle because Caliber Collision was entrusted to repair my vehicle, but instead caused a multitude of other mechanical problems. read more

Zero Stars! I used to bring my car here whenever my cars had damage for nearly a decade. This year I had my repair and a few days after getting my car back I had to bring it in to get a recleaning as the interior was extremely dirty from the staff. Also that day I found out my insurance company sent the final payment to me instead of Caliber Collision, which had been their practice for years. It would take a couple of days for the funds to arrive. When I was waiting on my car to be cleaned the GM Adam Newman refused to give me my car back despite that it had already been released to me already. He verified the insurance company paid me incorrectly and still tried to demand money, even though he knew the payment was being sent to me and not available. I had to threaten calling my insurance company to get my car back. As long as Adam Newman runs this location do not use this location. Zero Stars! read more

we had collision work done by H&V collision and when Caliber took over they said no warranty work done by H&V will be covered. H&V warranties there work for the life of the vehicle and I was told that Caliber will do the same. They are not doing anything to fix this. I'm always happy to write a review when I've changed my mind about a place of business. My last experience at this Caliber location was over 2 years ago - it didn't go well - and they would not have been my first choice for body work in the future. Fast forward two years to an accident on a practically brand new vehicle - me standing in the street trying to figure out where I wanted the car towed - and out of my mouth came "Caliber on Cedar Springs." This all happened on a Saturday afternoon where they didn't have a chance to say no to taking me as a customer. I stopped by that Monday afternoon, chatted with the center manager Adam, and explained that this wasn't the first rodeo we've had and I already did not feel comfortable being there. He then gave me Eddie, who professionally managed the claim from beginning to end, keeping me informed every step of the way. When the car was ready, they found a way to take my payment via wire since the insurance company was paying me instead of them. This cut down the delivery time by a few days of waiting for a Cashier's check, so I was quite grateful. And finally - the icing on the cake was that they agreed to deliver the car because of my busy schedule. I couldn't have been happier when I saw it out of the corner of my eye, looking showroom new, and ready for the road. Had my jeep repaired after being hit on driver side rear door. I was called and told my jeep was ready. I picked it up and noticed that the margins on the replacement door were way off. I took my jeep back the next day and was told by the advisor that it just needed adjusting. I left it there for a couple more days. Today I was called and was told my jeep was ready. I went to pick it up and not much was changed. Margins and lines were off. I complained and was told it was the door and that they were manufactured all over the place. I can understand that I suppose but what I can't understand is why a "reputable" business would try to pawn off an inferior repair rather than calling and saying we need to find you a door that fits your vehicle. The work was completed in a timely manner and I'm not complaining with how it turned out. I am rating this place 1 star because while they were working on my car they dented and scratched the hood. They did fix it after I brought it to their attention but they sure didn't mention it when I went to pick my car up. If I hadn't noticed it they wouldn't have said anything. Also when they say take your belongings out of the car, do so! Even if it's something you don't think is that important or someone would take. My shammy was taken out of my car, not like it's expensive to replace but it's the principle. Worst customer service and workmanship I have ever had to deal with. Woman in the office was very unhelpful and it took 4 weeks to fix deer damage to front right off my truck. They said the light was on back order. However I was able to find one online that day. I ordered it took it to them. I still had to wait two more weeks to get my truck back. To give credit where credit is due, they did a really good job on the repairs. They also majorly stepped up after I expressed my frustrations to them. For these reasons I gave 3 stars. The rest of my experience was a bit unprofessional. I dropped my vehicle off on 8/7. Estimated finish date was 8/23. I finally got it 8/30. They are a preferred vendor with State Farm, so I chose this place as I didn't want unexpected items not on the initial estimate coming directly out of my wallet. First visit to the office, I stood in the lobby at the reception desk for 10 minutes past my appointment time before the receptionist acknowledged my presence. She was on the phone trying to change a password to some account and she put up her hand when I walked in. Not a great first impression. They had me fill out a contact sheet with all of my information. I received a call a few days later letting me know they had "accidentally thrown away" my contact sheet and needed all of my information again. This happened a second time as well. Initially, my case manager Brandon did a great job emailing me daily updates on the status of my vehicle. However Brandon left in the middle of my repair, his wife apparently had a baby. He didn't give me a heads up in any of our communications the week and a half prior that he would be leaving, and no one else contacted me in his absence. 3 days and 2 of my requests for an update went without a response, so I called Thursday 8/22 to ask an update and was told that was why he hadn't responded to me. They were sorry that no one had contacted me. Chris reached out that day and told me that it wouldn't be ready the next day like initially scheduled, but Monday 8/26 it would definitely be completed and we made plans for me to come Monday morning to pick up. Chris assured me that if anything changed he would call me with an update. I called the morning of Monday 8/26 letting them know I was on my way to pick up like we had discussed and the response was "Oh. No one told you? Your car isn't ready yet. Give us until Friday". At this point I told him I was getting mad and expected more from them. After that conversation, they stepped up and kept me in the loop. They even identified an issue with the repair before I came to pick up, and rushed to have it finished so I would get my car on schedule before the holiday weekend. I noticed when I picked it up that they installed the incorrect color grills on my car, but before I left they had already ordered the correct parts and scheduled a time for me to stop by the next week to have them quickly install. I really appreciated their efforts to make things right. Honestly, I initially had a harsher review in mind. I have had better overall experiences for sure. I reconsidered my review after seeing them take significantly more ownership of their work as the process went on. I would give them another chance. read more

I see my clicker for the garage sitting on top of my car and the convertible top looks funny. Why? I initially was going to just take it there to be inspected and then take it to the Ford dealer since I'm very particular with my baby and figure Ford should know how to do it. But they told me my repair work at Caliber would be guaranteed for life so I decided to risk it. Got there on Friday afternoon and the Geico rep located right inside the door inspected my car immediately. He was so nice and it consoled me that he kept saying how sorry he was that this happened. Then he took the keys and that was all I had to do. I went to talk to Enterprise, also conveniently located on site, and decided against a rental since I didn't have the coverage and didn't want to spring for the car since I didn't know how long my baby was going to stay. The Enterprise guy was totally cool too and when he saw my car he said "Is that YOUR car? We should go beat whoever did this up!" I pretty much loved him. After that I asked the front desk chick if she could call a cab for me. She said absolutely not, she would get someone to just drop me off at home. She searched for someone available while offering me snacks and drinks kept in the lobby area for customers. However, it was lunchtime and everyone was gone. So what did she do? She drove me home herself in her own car! How freakin cool is that? Today the car was finished and they offered to come pick me up at work to get it. The lady called me back a few minutes later and said that they would just drive it out to me with all the paperwork if I wanted to just pay for my deductible on the phone. Really? Hells yeah! So I waited out front until I saw my completely perfect baby roll up. The top looks brand new and I didn't realize how faded the old top was until I got this nice new shiny black one. They also tinted the window, buffed the dent out of the bumper where the dickwad stepped on it, and cleaned it inside and out. I signed the papers and they handed me the keys. It was honestly that simple! If you ever have anything happen to YOUR lovely baby, consider taking it to Caliber Collision. They are going to bend over backwards to get your car fixed and provide you with the most excellent customer service imaginable. No one wants to be here, especially for repairs on a little fender bender! But in the end Caliber came through and I am very pleased with the results and service. Brought my car here after my very very recently purchased Nissan Rogue got scraped. It wasn't bad, but it was pretty heart breaking after only having had my awesome, feature-loaded bae for such a short time! The Geico claims adjuster is on-site, as is the rental car place, so it was nice only needing to go to one place for everything. I was so excited to get the call that it was ready only 2 days (well...really about a day and a half) after dropping it off, but when I stopped to take a look at the new paint job on my front bumper there were still some scratches. My heart kind of sank a little. :( I pointed it out to someone in the shop, and they tried to buff it out but it was still there. They were super faint scratches but I still have a lot of payments left on this car! :( Adam, the manager, came out and took a look and went as far as to shine an infrared light on the spot to see the scratches. Like most women, I HATE getting my car worked on because so many shops will be dismissive of your concerns. (Sorry, but it's true.) Adam was awesome and addressed my concerns immediately, and let me know that he saw them too under the infrared light even though I thought for sure the whole shop thought I was nuts and pointing out invisible scratches. They took care of it and now my front bumper looks as good as new! read more

Caliber collision is a pretty convenient place. Getting my car repaired here was as painless as I could reasonably hope for. Was scheduled an appointment here with my insurance company to get an estimate on repairs and was told I could choose any where to get my car fixed. I decided to get the work done at Caliber Collision because it was close to home, they appeared well coordinated with my insurance company and enterprise is located in one of the rooms making my car rental which was coordinated with my insurance company seamless. The three of them being under the same roof made the repair process easier to bear when it took 1 extra day to fix my car all of the paperwork was coordinated so that the extra day of car rental was taken care of behind the scenes. Car came back looking great with Randy being a very kind and devoted service manager for my repairs. Knowing the level of professionalism, quality of care, and convenience of having a one-stop shopping experience I would say Caliber is the place to go. read more

I visited for a session with my GEICO adjuster and the service was swift and painless taking less than an hour total. This location in addition to completing auto body work, also serves as the Dallas hub for several different auto insurance company adjusters - a clever idea leveraging synergy of both functions in one location. The front desk staff were polite, asked if I needed a refreshment and had comfortable seating available while I waited. So happens I was here back in July too courtesy of the 'Great Dallas Hail Storm'. That visit was more chock-a-block with a large volume of people seeking service. However, even then they did very well to open an expanded waiting area, provide comfortable seating and table options and maintained excellent communications with clients to ensure timely service and well managed expectations. This place, where do I start. Took my brand new car here for repairs some time ago. I thought that because it was recommended by my insurance, it would take less time and it would be great. It turned out to an awful service and my car didn't turn out to be how they explained. Front of my car wasn't repaired correctly and pieces don't match as well as you can still see paint mistakes. They tried to fix it but after everything I just wanted my car back, so I ended up with my car like that even after they tried to correct their mistake. read more

They did great work on my wife's truck after she hit a deer. Biggest complaint I had was this was during the middle of the pandemic when they offered all medical workers and others to not require their 500 deductible. The Anderson sc center forgot that and my wife had to fill out a form and proof she was in the medical field and they said caliber would reimburse the 500 deductible. I made numerous calls and sent an email to their corporate office after 1 to 2 months of not hearing anything and no one ever got back to me. read more

I was hit in the Whole Foods parking lot--bummer. Traveler's has a conceirge claim service with caliber collision which guarantees their repairs. I immediately yelped this place and found reviews by Nikki and Nickie which reassured me that this place was legit. Since I could still drive my car, they asked me to fax the appraisal records to order the parts, set up a rental for me and told me to drop off my car the following Monday to begin repair. Being in healthcare, I work nonconventional hours. My service representative, Josh, allowed me to drop it off Saturday and pick up the rental car. The repairs were done in a timely manner, excellent customer service, and great work on my SUV. It was seamless. read more

The staff here are very friendly and quick to help out. I appreciated the update on how my car was doing and when it would be finished. Not sure if it was State Farm or what but I was supposed to get a rental but they didn't set it up for me like they said they would. The process was relatively painless. They did have to cart me over to another car place to pick up my rental though. There were a couple scratches they missed on my door handle but the man showing me to my car was quick to address these. Other than that, they did a great job of fixing up the damages. I was very happy that they also washed my car and detailed. I'd give this place 4 stars but I was really disappointed that the detailing made my car look dirtier than before as it was obviously rushed and their vacuum or whatever scuffed the inside passenger door near the window. When I got home, I had to re-wipe down the interior with Turtle Wax. read more

Awesome service! Very easy to work with and very professional. Aubrey at the front desk is super friendly and helpful. Billy was awesome in going over the repairs done on my car and he even opened my door for me as I was leaving. Even the manager at the store came by to make sure I was doing okay when I was waiting on my rental car. I rarely had to wait more than 5 minutes for someone and I was provided an update 4 hours after dropping my car off and got the repairs done that same day! I don't know much about their quality of work in actually fixing cars because I just got an estimate but the only reason why I even checked in on yelp at this place is to write about how great they were. Thomas, the adjuster, was friendly, polite and unintimidating. He was very professional and seemingly honest. He explained everything to me very clearly. If I were to get anything fixed, I would definitely come here to get it done. read more
