I recently took my 2017 Ford Fusion into Caliber Collision in Laguna Beach for a bumper repair. Not having been in an actual accident, I did not use my insurance to cover this repair. Everyone there was very helpful and the estimate was very reasonable. Once they started work, they realized they didn't need all the parts and were able to save me more money than the actual estimate. Tizoc and his staff were all great to work with. After someone rear ended my vehicle my AAA representative recommended this repair shop in Laguna Beach and I made an appointment to have my vehicle repaired for Wednesday the 22nd of October. After calling to make my appointment the receptionist informed me that Enterprise would pick me up and take me to their office to pick up my rental. Upon arrival I talked to the Enterprise office and the Enterprise representative stated that he never received a reservation for a rental and I had to pay $300. I then asked Enterprise to drop me off at home until this matter was resolved the next day because my AAA representative had left the office for the day. The following day I contacted my AAA representative and he informed me that he never received a phone call from Caliber Collision confirming that I would be dropping off my vehicle to be able to get a reservation with Enterprise started for a rental vehicle. Once this matter was resolved I finally picked up the rental and contacted Caliber Collision to follow up with them about my vehicle. The Caliber Collision estimator named Ernesto informed me a few days later that my vehicle would not be ready until Wednesday the 29th. I was expecting to have my vehicle ready by that date and it was important that I have my vehicle back as soon as possible to be able to make my extra income with Lyft and Uber. Ernesto was aware of that and informed me that he would be pushing for my vehicle to be done prior to the 29th. On the 29th I contacted Ernesto and he brought me up to date on the vehicle and stated that the work was not up to his standards and had the paint done again. On the following week Ernesto gave me another estimated date and said it would be ready by Monday the 3rd of November and that he would call me to follow up with me in the morning when he arrived in the office. That Monday Ernesto did not call me with an update and I had to call him at 2:00pm. Ernesto then stated that the vehicle was not done because they still had to do some more work that included a recalibration. I dropped off my vehicle on Wednesday the 22nd of October and was finally able to get my vehicle on November 5th. I was glad this ordeal was over but when I sat in my vehicle I noticed that my fuel was at a quarter tank and I had left the vehicle with half a tank. I questioned Ernesto on this issue and he stated that the calibration guy had to take it to Laguna Niguel to have that done. As I was inspecting my vehicle there was a hat that one of the technicians left behind on the front passenger seat and a bungee cord in the back of my vehicle. I also noticed a very foul odor that smelled like a combination of sweat and oil that the technician left behind. The calibration technician also left the front mat of my vehicle dirty and also left a paper floor mat that they use to keep from getting vehicles dirty. I questioned Ernesto about this and the other issues and when I looked closely at the work they did on my bumper they left water spots on the paint and all I got from Ernesto were excuses. As I drove home my vehicle gave me an alert that stated that my collision sensors were offline which added more issues to the substandard service I received. Once I got home I gently rubbed off the water spots off the bumper and noticed a blemish. Once I received an email review I put everything that was wrong and then contacted their main office to talk to an area manager. Gabby the manager of caliber collision Laguna Beach supposedly tried to call me but stated that there was a busy tone and sent me a text asking me to make an appointment to get the issues resolved. I tried calling Gaby back and had to leave a voicemail and never heard from her again. The area manager Luis contacted me and when I informed him of all the issues Luis apologized and then asked me to make an appointment with the Laguna Beach location to get the issues fixed. I asked if I could go to the location in Irvine instead and Luis then contacted the manager of the Irvine location to bring him up to speed on my situation. I made an appointment to go to the Caliber Collision in Irvine on Monday the 10th of November and met with Luis to check on all the issues that I brought to his attention. Luis then had the manager of the Irvine location Bryan take my vehicle to the back for recalibration and then came back and informed me that the calibration was done and would need to keep my vehicle for repainting. My vehicle was done on Wednesday the 12 of November and looks great. No water spots or bad odor and a handshake from Bryan the manager of the Irvine location. If you ever need your vehicle worked on please make sure to avoid the Caliber Collision in Laguna Beach. The location is hard to get into especially with the heavy traffic on the laguna canyon highway and the staff seem to be on vacation when you need to get anything done. read more

Called them at 10:30am on a Friday morning because I'd clipped a curb and the bottom half of my bumper was falling off. I needed a quick fix to drive back up to the Bay Area on Monday. They were terrific...told me to bring it in and they'd see what they could do. I arrived at 11 and was done by 11:15! They were SO nice and they secured my bumper and charged me almost nothing for the fast, last minute, very much needed repair. My husband thought it would be a great idea to park both cars (in reverse) in the garage and one is significantly larger than the other, and in order to not hit my car, he parked a bit too close and hit the wall. Not only is there damage to the wall but his precious baby had a dented bumper and a broken tail light. I was prepared to start calling around and find a shop that could take my car in right away. Had an unfortunate situation where my 19-year-old daughter managed to wreck both of my vehicles within one week. I was having a hard time finding a location that wasn't multiple weeks behind in servicing vehicles due to the current Covid situation and the supply situation in Long Beach. Upon contacting caliber collision in Laguna Beach, I spoke with them on my situation and they need to be able to have some kind of vehicle that was in working order as soon as possible due to the fact that I was an emergency and trauma nurse and needed to be able to get back-and-forth to the hospital at the same time my daughter needed a vehicle to get back-and-forth from her work. Both Sharon and Gabby immediately jumped to action for me and got both of my vehicles in right away and rental cars set up so that I was back in business. Being a busy professional in today's environment and having to manage constant changes along with the stress levels of what I do as a profession, it was very reassuring to get constant updates on both vehicles and what would be the next step. You couldn't be more happy with the service provided and the quality of care from both the staff and the outcome of the vehicles after repair. AAA emailed Caliber Collision as their preferred provider to have Caliber provide an estimate and have them fix the back left quarter panel of my car. Caliber sent AAA Insurance an estimate for $2800. Over the next 2 weeks, Caliber completed the repair and I picked up my car and they notified AAA that the work was completed. Two months went by and Caliber contacted me saying that AAA Insurance was refusing to pay and that I now owed them $4800 for the repair. AAA Insurance must have authorized the additional work as no one spoke to me about the huge increase or the fact that they were refusing to pay until months later. Caliber Collision needs to re-evaluate their contract with AAA Insurance. This is a classic bait and switch move by AAA Insurance and Caliber. Caliber Collision picks up work from AAA and charges the owner of the car a much higher price even though AAA authorized the work to be done. read more

I loved the customer service! I had issues getting my car door fixed before a road trip I had planned, last minute a biker accidentally hit my car door. My experience at Caliber Collision was a very positive one. They dropped me off at my home when my car went in. I was very happy about that.I didn't have to worry about getting a ride someone to follow me or make transportation arrangements. The staff that I I encountered were courteous.kind, and extremely professional. The work on my Jeep was stellar ! My Jeep is old and it looked like it had gotten a gorgeous face lift to me it looked new.My Vehicle was washed so all I had to do was get in and drive.I was extremely pleased with the workmanship at Caliber Collision. I finally got to write a review about this auto repair body shop... I should have done this a long time ago as they never got to do the job right but only made it worse. I had a small fender bender with another car, the insurance sent my car to this place. I had no reason to doubt their quality as it is a brand recognized in the industry but little did I know that this guys are the worse there is in the business. I find this tasteless and completely unacceptable, this coming from a reputable company as Caliber Collision is known to be. I find it hard to believe that my vehicle has passed quality inspection control at this facility but if it has then it shows the lack of care this company observes for rendering good quality service and acceptable workmanship. The quality here is unacceptable by all standards and the workmanship inferior and substandard by all means. On top of this there is more damage (unrelated to the accident claim). There were scratches created on the rear bumper as if someone had sat on it and scratched it with some punctured device. Paul, I want my car fixed entirely, I will not accept a half-assed job. I have been a very patient person. This accident occurred over a month ago, I have not requested a rental as I have my own car to drive and I don't like to be advantageous but at this point I require that Triple A or Caliber provide a vehicle for me to drive, I stacked up almost 2000 miles on my personal vehicle for daily driving to work and back since the accident occurred and I would like to at least see some type of compensation for this as well. I did not receive a call back from them so I called again at 5:45pm at which time I only got the answer machine. 05/20 - I was busy in conferences all day but did not hear from Caliber at all!!! 05/21 - I called this morning but they are CLOSED on weekends!!!
