I opted for the higher-end Stratos series, with 70% tint on the windshield and sunroof, and 30% on the sides. I went with the 30% on the sides for a good balance between looks and function, though in hindsight, I might have gone with a 40% or 50% just to reduce the chance of being pulled over. But that's a subjective decision, and I can still see fine at night with the 30%, so it works. After having the Stratos for a while, I'll admit that I didn't notice as much of a difference as I expected between it and a high-quality ceramic film. If I were to do it again, I'd probably consider going with their regular ceramic for the side windows and keep the Stratos on the windshield and sunroof, where it does feel like a noticeable upgrade in terms of heat rejection and clarity. There were some small air bubbles in the tint, particularly on the sunroof, but I gave it a little time. When they didn't go away, I gave the shop a call. They were really accommodating, and the manager had no hesitation in bringing me in to replace the sunroof tint. I appreciate how they handled this--it's hard to get tint perfect every time (unless you're working in a clean room), but they were eager to make sure I was satisfied, which goes a long way in my book. I noticed a couple of Subaru Foresters that took over 3 hours because the calibration on those cars is known to be pretty slow. My appointment was at 1 pm, and they all seem to take a lunch break from 12-1, so the earlier you come, the better your chances of getting in quickly. The facility itself is pretty plain, uncomfortable seats, and it could really use some desks or workstations if people need to get stuff done. They didn't restock the coffee pods and the vending machine was broken. Since I went on a Saturday, nothing was open nearby. The location isn't near anything, so you'd have to Uber somewhere if you want to grab food or do anything else. I was thinking about heading to The Spectrum, but at $20 one way (only 3 miles away), that was a no-go. They should definitely upgrade the waiting room experience, more comfort, some amenities and I think they'd get much better reviews. Overall, good work on the car, but the waiting situation could use some improvement.

He called ahead about my appointment, worked around my schedule, and kept communication clear the entire time. When he showed up, he was friendly, personable, and got the job done quickly and efficiently. It's employees like him that really make a company stand out. Hopefully I don't need another windshield repair anytime soon, but if I do, I'll definitely be calling Safelite again and requesting Mason.
