I recently purchased a brand new 2022 black BMW X5 and the rear panel got chipped when I only had the car for 2 weeks! I brought my car to Caliber Collision in Los Gatos to see what could be done and Luis went above and beyond to help me repair the chip. First he told me to go to BMW and get the factory touch up kit that has a bottle of the factory paint and clear coat. Once I brought that back he meticulously "needled" the touch up paint into the chip and told me to come back in a few days. When I came back he wasn't quite satisfied and put one more coat of the paint so that the paint was built up even with the factory paint and no longer a crater. Lastly I came back and he put the clear coat on and sanded it down and polished it. I am very happy with the final product because you really have to look to even see where the chip was and I know I won't have to worry about the chip getting worse with time. Luis was meticulous, patient, friendly and very skilled. I definitely hope my car doesn't get damaged ever again, but if it does I will definitely bring my car back to this shop! read more

Originally I was a bit unhappy with the miscommunication between my insurance and caliber collision. It had taken longer than expected to fix my car (but again that could've been my insurances fault). Nevertheless, I could not help but give caliber collision five stars because Blake, the man who had helped us, had incredible customer service - wiped my entire car even though it was drizzling, and ultimately did above and beyond when I got my car back. Interior was cleaner than when I had brought it in, and again they did a wonderful job with fixing my window and body/hood. I would definitely recommend this place and come back. Just make sure if your insurance tows your car to them, your insurance communicates where that car is coming from haha. Update: I had also left my cars handbook at their place, and even though it had been a few months (and I complete forgot about it) they kept it for me instead of throwing it away. I'm very impressed with their customer service and honesty. My drivers door handle had come out, and we thought it was an attempted break in. Nothing looked broken, so I took it to the local Chevrolet dealership, thinking it was an hour to put it back. The stealership came back telling me that the inside of the door was messed up, and it would be $1500 to fix it. State Farm wasn't having that, so I took it to this Caliber, where I had paint work done before. At the initial inspection, the adjuster called over one of their technicians, who thought the handle could be reassembled. He did this in 10 minutes, adjusting the rear handle as well, and they wouldn't take any money. My biggest hassle is figuring out how to undo the insurance claim. Super great experience. read more

They treated me more than fairly. I hit a large pot that left a mark on the front bumper. When I asked for a quote, MATT Garcia said they could repaint the bumper for $1100 or they could buff the bumper which would remove the "transfer" from the pot for FREE while I wait. I was absolutely thrilled with the overall experience. Very professional in terms of the body work done on my Acura RDX. Amazing communication as well. The reason I'm posting a Yelp review is that after closing out the insurance claim and picking up my vehicle, I noticed an additional scratch that needed attention. I had to get to work - so one of the service people drove down to my hospital (10 miles away) later that day to find my car in the parking lot to buff out and polish that scratch (!!!). The trim on the side of my car had popped out. I stopped by here to see if they can fix it. I just wanted to see if they could and was then gonna make an appointment to bring the car back. Jimmy, the center manager, greeted me, went over and took a look and asked if I could wait 15 minutes or so and he'd get a technician to work on it. I was surprised as I had zero expectation they could work on it right away. Sure enough, the technician was able to quickly fix it and make it look like new again. I went inside to thank Jimmy and pay the bill. He said NO CHARGE! I said no way, I value my own time and value other people's time when they do work for me, so I insisted on paying but he'd have none of that saying that it was not a big deal. Seriously, the money aside, I was thrilled they were able to jump in and fix it so quickly. Jimmy was professional as I observed him interacting with another customer. The technician was also very courteous. The front desk person was also very warm and attended to me right away and get this, they also have a popcorn machine where they make fresh popcorn and a TV. My truck was dented in by the passenger door and it wouldn't open, I haven't been able to work because of COVID so coming up with money to get it fixed hasn't been easy. I brought it by to get an estimate on how much it'd cost me and they ended up fixing it enough so my door will open just to help me out. Worst service and quality! This place is low on staff and mis-managed. Painted my car and couldn't get the color right! Sent me home thinking i wouldn't notice. I hate to rain on the parade of 5 star ratings but I feel that I must. After waiting 18 days, as planned, I expected to pick up my car repaired expertly and flawless. To my dismay, I found neither. Front door to fender gap was too wide at top and too narrow at bottom (same as when I brought the car in). Trim below the same door was protruded and misaligned (same as when I brought the car in). These problems were a result of the collision and I expected repair to include fixing them. Further the rear bumper was misaligned beyond acceptable. This flaw was explained that the car wasn't really done yet and they never should have sent me the email that said that the car was ready for pickup. Give me a break! I'll be willing to revise my rating pending on a professional completion of the job and there no more BS excuses. read more

Although the final repair was adequate this is body shop is very poorly managed. The car was delivered on December 3rd and I provided an extra week for them to repair the damage. When I picked up the car on December 17th upon inspection it was determined that only half the job was completed. The representative although apologetic and agreed with my assessment of the job had no authority to expedite the refinish of the job. It took an additional 2 weeks after many calls find out what was happening to have the job completed. The excuse was that the manager felt there were other jobs already in the "Q" that had a priority over a job that would take no more than 4 hours. I never had these issues when the shop was Los Gatos Auto Body. If you want your car to be done in a timely manor and right the first time this is NOT the place to go. read more

Absolutely love this place. Best customer service, I work with Blake when I come in and he's awesome! He's always super helpful when I call and does really whatever it takes. They really make great working relationships with their customers and that's a huge part to their great business(another is their amazing work).
