If I could say Zero starts I would. Stay away from this shop they are crooked as they come. I didn't do a review as promised after getting my car back last year from this shop because I found more damage after picking it up the last time. Not only was my car driven more than 400 miles than the mileage was left when dropped off but this shop breaks stuff and glue it back together. This shop is the worst of all shops in the ENTIRE WORLD just garbage work performed and breaking or damaging anything they touch and try to hide it. The reason for this review today. I was in another accident where the car was damaged and the bumper had to be removed and guess what was found...a shit load of parts glued together instead of being replaced. Took my car in for some body work. Service was good, and results were good. However, I was not satisfied with some things from the process. 1. Was initially told the rental I was given was covered up to the Nov. 18th. However, I was called on Nov. 15th saying my car was unexpectedly ready that day and if I didn't return the rental and get it by the next day, it would cost me out of pocket for keeping it long. When I spoke with my insurance, they said that was not true, and I rushed to return the car and get mine unnecessarily and inconveniently. 2. The car body work was done correctly, but when it was returned to me, the ashtray in the car was broken and the cover won't close (and I never had issues with it or even used it before). After weeks and weeks of trying to schedule a mechanic to look at the broken part, I get a surprise call one day and am expected to bring it in immediately while the mechanic is already there or I'll miss them again until next time. I make my way in and the mechanic tells me it's normal wear and tear and no one''s at fault and there's nothing they can do. Possibly true, but as a customer, all I know is I've had it for 10+ years and never had an issue with it, then I leave it with caliber collision for repairs unrelated to anything inside, and now it's broken. read more

Caliber Collision MIra Mesa has a phenomenal service advisor in Charlene Munoz. She has such stellar customer service--so kind, very helpful, compassionate, caring, informative and responsive. In early February, my father came in to get a repair on on his 2015 Honda Accord after someone severely rear ended the car. Caliber Collision did a wonderful job on the repair, body work and paint. It looks so good. We got the car back on Friday 3/19. Even though it took over a month, due to the parts being scarce, Charlene was so helpful during the whole process. She was very caring and understanding, especially when my father was stressing out about the time it took for the job to be completed. Thank you to Charlene, who took the time to help us out. Absolutely exceptional service. We have had the pleasure of working with Charlene who has taken really good care of us since our car was hit and run. I just had my car fixed by Caliber Collision and they were GREAT. Ruby at the Mira Mesa location was AH-MAZ-ING. My car is a newer electric car and there was a bit of a delay getting the lift gate, absolutely NOT Caliber's fault, it was ordered from the manufacturer and the manufacturer took longer than expected. Ruby texted me every 2 or 3 days to check in, let me know the status, and just overall keep me informed about everything the entire time. Even if there was nothing new to report (i.e., still waiting for the manufacturer), she would still check in so I wasn't just left wondering about the status. I have came here to Caliber Collision a few years ago after hitting a deer through the night. So when I recently was in an accident at the gas station during my lunch and the convenience of Caliber being within distance of my job and home I decided to come back. Initially I was told they only service electric cars. Jose Rivera took his time to asset my car give me his honest feedback back and stated he will let me know if caliber can fit me in their busy schedule I received a email from Jose with the quote and if I moved forward a precise time frame in which I would have my car back in my possession. Once I received my car I was very satisfied and felt as though nothing went unnoticed or overlooked as the damage was very visible. I was directed to go to Caliber Collision after being given a couple of suggestions by my insurance company. Generally speaking, this is not a fun process. It is stressful and time-consuming. I had an extremely bad experience getting my car repaired at this Caliber Collision location. This is a very unethical and dishonest business. They do not care about their customers. If you do not want your car in worse condition than before the repair, avoid this place. My car needed some paint repairs on the passenger side doors. The whole repair process took one month. It was very frustrating. The communication was very inconsistent. You will have to text them every day to try to get you car back. On Thursday of the 4th week, they told me that they are still waiting for one auto part to arrive, and if I was ok with picking up the car for now and return when they receive it. Their reasoning was because it was the end of the month, and they want to clear as much cars as possible. However, I was told only 30 mins before their closing time, with no prior notice. I told them I was not able to make it before their closing time. He told me I could pick it up the next day. When I called the next day, the receptionist said he took the day off, and no one else can help me. The following Monday, they said they still do not know when the auto part will arrive. So, I told them I want to pick up my car for now, but since it was not the end of the month anymore, they were in no rush no more. I Had to wait another one whole week, to get my car back, through daily texting or calling them. Throughout the conversations, he reassured me that they will inspect and clean the car making sure everything will be looking great. He also said he will have his manager inspect the car. When I went to pick up the car, I was shocked, the car was in worse condition than before. The windshield was damaged, the door handles has been discolored, the interior of the car was extremely dirty. After pointing out these issues to him, his first initial response was that none of the damages were caused by them, then he looked at the pictures he took and after speaking to his manager, they agreed to repair the windshield, but nothing else. When asked about the door handle, he said it was like that when I dropped it off, which is clearly a lie. There was no word of apology for the damages. And they will not fix any other issues. After driving the car back home, I also noticed there are bumps on the floor of the car which was not there before. The passenger side doors does not open properly making loud clicking noises as you open and close and the screws on the door hinge are loose. The paint on the door had some grey discoloration and some parts had uneven paint. I will get it thoroughly inspected, to check if there are any other damages. The service advisor's name is Marcos Avendano and manager Andrew. Just realized Google allows businesses to hide negative reviews. You can't tell unless you are logged out of your google account and it's not visible to the public. At least there is still Yelp that allows customers to post real reviews and does not let businesses manipulate what's shown to the public. read more

Daughter picked up her beginning of May, when I looked at the damaged spot they failed to replace the rim and tried to give the car back damaged. After talking to Charlene, she had said she will order a new rim and it will take 2-3 weeks and she would give me a call when it is in to bring the car back. Called multiple times for an update and she said she would give me a call as soon as it's in. Called again on August 8 to find out they had the rim but NEVER gave me a call when it arrived. When I asked how long they had it, the response I got was " I don't know must have been recent." How do you not know when a part comes in when a customer has been waiting for months???? Overall, the damaged is repaired but I am very upset over how they failed to communicate when the rim was coming in after waiting 3 months. read more

DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR CAR!! I would leave zero stars if I could. My car was damaged while I was at work and instead of going to my usual mechanic, I went to the one suggested by the other person's insurance since I thought it would be easier... big mistake! While all of the employees here were very kind and friendly, they failed to follow through on calls when they had promised (on multiple occasions) and communication in general was very difficult/confusing. This, however, was not the breaking point for me. After getting my car back from them, I noticed that the bumper had some new scrapes and scratches (multiple so dark you could see black) that were not there before, and when I told Caliber Collision about this, they said I could bring my car in to have these scrapes fixed. However, when I arrived they told me that this damage was pre-existing (it was not) and that therefore they didn't need to fix it. They also claimed their repairman had spoken to me about the bumper damage at length previously (he had not, because, you know, there wasn't any damage to the bumper before). It also struck me as strange that they had me come in (completely wasting an hour of my time) to fix damage that allegedly they already knew about and (according to them) weren't liable to fix. Their story just doesn't add up, but it's still shocking when people will lie to your face. This is a business that lacks any moral character and I would HIGHLY suggest you stick with your standard mechanic instead of going to this place - horrible communication, bad repair work leaving additional damage, and (albeit friendly) staff that will smile at you while lying to your face to avoid having to fix the damage they caused. Charlene, my service advisor, made it her priority to answer any and all questions I had regarding my collision and was sincerely one of the kindest people I've ever met! My car was returned in mint condition and honestly looks better than when I purchased it. My carport scratched my paint down to the base coat in many places during a windstorm. After going through insurance, I dropped my truck off with Charlene, she told me everything they would do to bring back my paint to new. She was very helpful and let me know what was happening with the repairs every step of the way. When I picked up my truck I couldn't believe how great it looked, I almost wished the carport had messed up more of my paint after seeing their awesome craftsmanship. Directed here by Geico after my car was rear ended. Worked with Jaime and his staff, who were always courteous and professional. Received updates primarily by text. Repair took a few weeks due to understandable supply chain issues, and Caliber worked with Geico to get me a rental in the meanwhile. When everything came through, I was really impressed with the final outcome. We had a minor issue later with a portion of the rear bumper sticking out slightly, but Caliber honored the lifetime warranty and addressed it immediately. Probably the worst body shop I have ever been to. Only reason I gave them two starts is because of the manager that works there is very nice and apologetic. Otherwise I would have left one star... After my coworker took his car here and had to bring it back 3 times to get the job done right, I asked them to make sure to do a proper job. Needles to say, I had to bring it back 3 times and they still got it wrong. They left my headlights loose and rattling, lost two of my bumper bolts, got overspray all over the car, glue in places that glue shouldn't be and a few paint drips. Not to mention that my car's interior was filthy from all the sanding dust and finger smudges that I ended up cleaning later. Chris, the manager, asked if they can get another shot at fixing it and directed me to the Miramar location. Needless to say, after two weeks there, I got the car back with more issues. At this point I just wanted my car back and left. So, if you love your car, don't take it to ANY Caliber Collision locations. Take it to a reputable body shop like Amatos or something high end. If you don't care about your car and think of it as just a box you use to get from point A to point B then let them half-ass their job and glue your car back together. read more

Be aware! I am so disappointed with this business. I took my car for repairs recommended by Geico insurance. They replaced some of the needed parts with refurbished and some used parts. They also mentioned they have a lifetime warranty on the repairs, which was a lie! I took my car back after about 6 months because the grill they installed some how fell off of the vehicle (due to poor installation). But they would not accept responsibility. So even though I was extremely unhappy, I agreed to personally pay for it. So After 2 weeks of waiting received a call mentioning the part is there. So I made an appointment and went in today for them to fix the vehicle. When I got there they told me they returned the part to manufacturer and how they are sorry!!!!! I like to know if you are sorry about wasting my time, or using used parts, or the lack of service, or the fact that they lied about the lifetime warranty. I honestly wish I could give 0 stars because of my experience with them. Around late October, I had damaged my car pulling into my garage and USAA recommended Caliber Collision to my parents (which they had a wonderful experience with them once upon time, but they went to the one located in Redlands). After hearing their experience, my expectations were high and hoping that I would get the same thing. WRONG! While, yes, they fixed the right side of my car, I noticed a few weeks later (I had gotten my car back mid-November) that there was rust on the edges, specifically on the right rear door. So, I called, took my car back in, and they supposedly fixed it. AGAIN WRONG! They didn't fix anything as the rust reappeared a few weeks later. Fed up, I took my car to the Caliber Collision located in Miramar, and they fixed the rust perfectly. However, now, the front right door has paint chipping off and rust/oxidation is appearing. Do not waste your time coming to this location! You're better off going to the one in Miramar. read more
