I honestly wish I could give 0 stars because of my experience with them. Around late October, I had damaged my car pulling into my garage and USAA recommended Caliber Collision to my parents (which they had a wonderful experience with them once upon time, but they went to the one located in Redlands). After hearing their experience, my expectations were high and hoping that I would get the same thing. WRONG! While, yes, they fixed the right side of my car, I noticed a few weeks later (I had gotten my car back mid-November) that there was rust on the edges, specifically on the right rear door. So, I called, took my car back in, and they supposedly fixed it. AGAIN WRONG! They didn't fix anything as the rust reappeared a few weeks later. Fed up, I took my car to the Caliber Collision located in Miramar, and they fixed the rust perfectly. However, now, the front right door has paint chipping off and rust/oxidation is appearing. Do not waste your time coming to this location! You're better off going to the one in Miramar. read more

Charlene was by far the best person I've ever come across while dealing with my car. She made the most horrific accident seem like it never happened. The car looks better than when I first drove it off the lot. She had a lot of issues, with car parts coming from all over the world, but she handled the situation with dignity and grace. Insurance is such a hassle and a headache! I came to Caliber Collisions looking for an estimate. I didn't have an appointment but Daisy was super helpful and got me started. When you walk in you can notice that everything is very clean and comfortable. There was a coffee machine, popcorn machine, candy, a television and even a coloring book. As I was filling out the paperwork, I was asked what insurance company I was with. Since its not part of Caliber's partner insurance companies, Daisy let me know the cost would be different. Elena heard our conversation and offered some input. I won't bore with details about it but overall she was extremely helpful with my situation!!! This is the first time I've been in an accident and she explained the general process of things and how everything worked. continued... well, i will say that jesse, the manager at caliber collision 9985 huennekens st, san diego, ca 92121, did his best to try to redeem the reputation of this place. i am unable to verify with 100% certainty if the ecu was installed incorrectly or not but the mechanic says they "repaired" it and charged us $180.00. jesse gave us $200 gift card to cover this portion of our bill. not exactly what we were wanting but it was better than nothing i suppose. i will say that jesse was helpful and understanding the best he could of our experience prior to becoming the manager at this location. none of the other people there were at all helpful nor cared that it took 3 months to get our truck back! i will give jesse a 3 star review, but the rest of the people working there are negative 10!!! believe me, if i would have received a single apology from miguel after leaving my initial review i would have reconsidered removing my review as i was requested to, but because of miguel i cannot remove it. he is the main reason for the entire negative experience with caliber collision. my hope now is that my review will encourage this place to just do better! care more! treat people the way you would want to be treated! treat all of your customers with kindness! give every customer an amazing experience! get every customers car done "way faster"! consider providing people with rentals if your going to take 3 months to fix their vehicle. it still beyond me that any repair would take that long. good luck to you if you opt to use them. read more

After making the appointment through auto insurance company, I dropped off my car 9/28/19. The office is clean and the reception service is great. They have a professional check my car, fill out some paper work, take me to close by Enterprise for car rental. I have an update on the status of my auto repair daily through text. I am able to have my auto completed 10/3/19. The repaired auto looks almost like new. By the way, I can just drop off the rental car at Caliber! So, I am very happy with customer service and repair. My 2019 Nissan was rear-ended and Geico sent me there, it took 5 days for a small repair. When I went to pick up my car, they forgot to put a metal back to car's trunk edge. I wrote a review but I think I did not send it. On October 9,2018 we were hit by another driver. It damaged the car from the passenger back door to the bumper. It even blew the right rear tire. We took the car to Caliber Collison on University and they sent it to the Mira mesa location. The damage was extensive. They had to send for a part so it did take a longer period than expected. That is the thing I appreciate the most is instead of using a rebuilt part they sent for a new part. Quality is important to them and of course to me. Rick the service worker. ( I am sorry I do not know his title.) kept me informed of the progress, of what they were working on and when it would be ready for pick up. Caliber Collision is Mira Mesa did a great job in repairing our car after it was rear-ended. What looked like a simple dent in the rear bumper turned out to be extensive damage to the underside. Unfortunately, due to supply chain issues, the parts that Caliber needed from the factory took many months to get, and Charlene, their customer representative, did a wonderful job of tracking the parts and keeping us abreast of the situation. She was very conscientious that the repairs were done properly as another rear impact could have crumpled the whole rear of our car. And once the parts finally arrived, it took another month to complete the extensive repairs, and Charlene followed through professionally. Our car looks as good as new now! She even came in on a Saturday to release the car to us (and gave us information on a park to take our grandkids to)! We highly recommend working with Caliber in Mira Mesa, Charlene in particular, if you ever need body work performed on your vehicle. read more

It's been a while getting a car repaired for an accident so maybe things have changed considerably, but I was pleasantly surprised by how great the service and communication was. We had Charlene attend to us and she was fantastic. Always very quick and patient in communicating and answering all of our questions whether over the phone or through their texting system. Car came back in great shape. There was a little smudge and Charlene rolled up her (figurative) sleeves and got a rag and wiped it clean for us. She definitely went the extra mile. Horrible experience overall. Recently was involved in a accident and had bring into a caliber collision location (high standards) but let me tell you there body work here is the worst. Fender and front bumper repair thru insurance but the work was horrible from paint not polished and bumper had a gap. To even top it off my license plate frame and all was removed and never given back. No call or anything. No follow up by the shop about experience or any feedback. Luckily caliber offers lifetime fixes on repairs so I went to the one off Miramar Rd and let me tell you there are wonderful, professional and much more organize on how they do there business. They took initiative to help me and fix everything this shop didn't. Don't go to this shop I warn you! Go to the caliber collision off Miramar Rd. Don't go through what I had to go through. This was one of the worst body shops I have ever been to, I hit my car and was estimated 2 weeks to be fully fixed. First off it was 3 weeks later with no phone calls of any notice. I then called and was told it would be ready in 2 days, another phone call saying it will actually be ready in another 2 days, which was suppose to be friday. Finally they called and said it will actually be done on Monday because they are closed on Saturday and Sunday. After lots of arguing they had it finished on Saturday. "Just for me". My lexus rx300 got rear ended so i had these guys fix it. I personally had a great experience even though they didnt need to repaint the bumper they did. I also had a number of other problems with my car such as a light in the dashboard not coming on as well as some loose seat covers they readjusted for me. Even when i couldn't find my headphones they went ahead and replaced them for me. Great people who do great work, make sure to ask for Elizabeth she took good care of me ! read more

I was very lucky to be helped out by Adrian. He was very nice and would always provide an update when I asked about my car. He was very knowledgeable and 10/10 would recommend working with him. Jenny at the front desk was also very nice and pleasant, however she told me should would return my call and never did. It was a very minor aspect. The shop also stayed open later on a Friday (before memorial day weekend no less) so I could get my car. They also worked with Enterprise rent a car so I could leave my car at Caliber. My overall experience was sub-par, this location is a 25 minute drive from my place of residence due to the fact the original Caliber Collision didn't have the means to fix the problems with my car. To make a long story short, at about 65 MPH on the highway, some debris from the back of a truck came out, which I was forced to try and avoid. I couldn't avoid it, ran over it, car came off the ground and there was some damage to the car. Caliber Collision couldn't identify the problem and it took three separate occasion to have it fixed properly. In total, driving to and from this location, the suspension shop MRI, and the enterprise was approximately three hours and twenty minutes. I explained multiple times and even submitted photos regarding the incident. If it was fixed properly the first time, I would have rated better. Due to the fact that I have already busy schedule, this was a major inconvenience, and most people know how unreliable a mechanic's shop can be. Next time, i'll be taking my car to the dealership. read more
